Please keep these instructions

1. Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance before opening.
2. Read all instructions.
3. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cords, plugs or appliances in water or any other liquid.

6. Unplug from outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
7. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner. If the supply cord or appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or let it come into contact with any hot surfaces.
11. To disconnect – remove the plug from the outlet. Do not pull plug out by the cord.
12. This appliance should not be used in the immediate vicinity of water, such as a bath tub, sink, swimming pool etc. where there is a risk of splashing.
13. Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use. This appliance is for household use only.
14. No liability can be accepted fo r any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
15. Always use the fan on a flat, stable surface.
16. Do not insert objects through the guard whilst the fan is operating.
17. Do not cover the grill, or operate in close proximity to curtains etc.
Assembly
This fan is supplied with the base pre-assembled. DO NOT operate the fan with the base surround removed.
To assemble to fan and grille
Place the Rear Grille onto the Motor Housing Top and align the Locating P egs. NOTE: The small screw hole should be at the bottom of the fan
Next place the Grille Retaining Ring o nto the Motor Housing Top and turn to tighten and secure.
Slide the Fan Blade over the motor shaft ensuring that it is firmly seated.
With the help of another person, position the front guard against the rear grill and push the
guard ring in place so that it holds both guards together and the screw is at the bottom. Secure by tightening screw.
Instructions for use
Plug into 230V AC mains outlet and select desired speed. 0 – Off 1 – Low Speed 2 – High Speed
Pressing the Oscillation knob located on the top/back of the Motor Housing will cause the fan to sweep back and forth. Lifting the oscillation knob will stop the sweeping motion of the fan.
The inclination of the fan head may be adjusted by loosening the tilt adjustment screw lifting the Motor Housing Head to the position needed. Tighten the screw up when correct position is found NOTE: This should only be done when the fan is switched off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Switch off the power supply and pull out the plug from the mains socket before cleaning.
A soft dry cloth is usually adequate but can be moistened with mild detergent solution if
required.
Never clean the unit with solutions such as thinners and polishing powder etc.
U.K. PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: BROWN - LIVE (L)
BLUE - NEUTRAL (N) As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK
The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal, which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and securely fastened.
WARNING: ON NO ACCOUNT MUST EITHER THE LIVE OR NEUTRAL WIRES BE CONNECTED TO THE
EARTH TERMINAL
