Improvingthequalityofindoorairisoneof themissionofanairconditioner.Thisair conditionerisequippedwithionizeror PlasmaDustCollector(Dependingon specificonfigurationofthemodel).With theanionsgeneratedbyIonizer,theair circulationoftheairconditionerfillsthe roomwithrefreshing,naturalandhealthy air.ThePlasmaDustCollectorgenerates anhighvoltageionizationzone,through whichtheairisconvertedtoplasma. Insidetheairmostofthedust,smoke,and pollenparticlesarecapturedbythe electrostaticfilter.

ToactivatetheFollowMefeature,point theremotecontroltowardstheunitand presstheFollowMebutton.Theremote displayisactualtemperatureatits location.Theremotecontrolwillsend thissignaltotheairconditionerevery3 minutesintervaluntilpresstheFollow Mebuttonagain.Iftheunitdoesnot receivetheFollowMesignalduringany 7minuteinterval,theFollowMemode willbecancelledautomatically.
Theremotecontrolservesasaremote thermostatallowingfortheprecise temperaturecontrolatitslocation.
FunctionusedaftertheShutDownof coolingoperationtocleantheEvaporator andkeepitasfreshforthenextoperation.
Thisfunctionisonlyavailableunder COOL(AUTOCOOL,FORCEDCOOL) andDRYmode. Beforeselectthefunction,itisrecomm­endedtoruntheairconditionerunder Coolingoperationforabouthalfanhour. OncetheSelfCleanfunctionisactivated, allTIMERsettingwillbecancelled. DuringSelfCleanoperation,whenpress theSELFCLEANbuttonontheremote controlleragainwillstoptheoperation andturnofftheunitautomatically.

Theunitwilloperateasfollowing sequence: FANONLYmodeatLowfanspeed-­HeatingoperationwithLOWfanspeed (applicabletocooling&heatingmodles only)---FANONLYoperation--Stop Operation---Turnoff.
WhenturnsofftheunitonCOOL,DRY, AUTO(Cool)mode,theairconditioner willcontinueoperatingforabout10minutes (dependingonmodels)atLOWfanspeed. Thiswillhelptodryupthecondensed waterinsidetheevaporator,andprevent thebreedingofmildew. UnderAnti-mildewoperation,donot restarttheairconditioneruntiltheunitis completelyoff.

Whentheairconditionerisstartedimmediatelyafterit wasstopped,thehorizontallouvermightnotmovefor approximately10seconds. 2.Roomrelativehumiditylessthan80%.Iftheairconditioneroperatesinexcessofthis figure,thesurfaceoftheairconditionermayattractcondensation.Pleasesetsthevertical airflowlouvertoitsmaximumangle(verticallytothefloor),andsetHIGHfanmode.
3.Optimumperformancewillbeachievedwithintheseoperatingtemperature.
FortheunitadoptsanElectricHeater,whentheoutsideambienttemperature
isbelow0C(32F),westronglyrecommendyoutokeepthemachinepluggedinorderto

WhenyousettheairconditionerinAUTOmode,itwill automaticallyselectcooling,heating(cooling/heating modelsonly),orfanonlyoperationdependingonwhat temperatureyouhaveselectedandtheroom temperature. Theairconditionerwillcontrolroomtemperature automaticallyroundthetemperaturepointsetbyyou. IftheAUTOmodeisuncomfortable,youcanselect desiredconditionsmanually.
WhenyoupushSLEEPbuttononremotecontroller duringcooling,heating(cooling&heatingmodelsonly), orAUTOoperation,theairconditionerwill automaticallyincrease(cooling)ordecrease(heating)
perhourforthefirst2hours,thenhold steadyforthenext5hours,afterthatitwillswitchoff. Thischaracteristicmaintainsbothenerysavingand comfortinnightoperation.
Thefanspeedwillbeautomaticallycontrolledunder dryoperation. Duringthedryoperation,iftheroomtemperatureis lowerthan10C(50F),thecompressorstopsoperation andrestartsuntiltheroomtemperatureisabove 12C(54F).
Toachieveoptimalperformance,pleasenotethe following: Adjusttheairflowdirectioncorrectlysothatitisnot directedonpeople. Adjustthetemperaturetoachievethehighestcomfort level.Donotadjusttheunittoexcessivetemperature levels. ClosedoorsandwindowsonCOOLorHEATmodes, orperformancemaybereduced. UseTIMERONbuttonontheremotecontrollerto selectatimeyouwanttostartyourairconditioner. Donotputanyobjectnearairinletorairoutlet,asthe efficiencyoftheairconditionermaybereducedand theairconditionermaystoprunning. Thefollowingeventsmayoccurduringnormaloperation.
1. Thecompressorcan'trestartfor3minutesafteritstops. TheunitisdesignednottoblowcoldaironHEATmode,whentheindoorheatexchangerisin
oneofthefollowingthreesituationsandthesettemperaturehasnotbeenreached. A)Whenheatinghasjuststarting. B)Defrosting. C)Lowtemperatureheating. Theindoororoutdoorfanstoprunningwhendefrosting(Coolingandheatingmodelsonly).
Frostmaybegeneratedontheoutdoorunitduringheatcyclewhenoutdoortemperatureislow andhumidityishighresultinginlowerheatingefficiencyoftheairconditioner. Duringthisconditionairconditionerwillstopheatingoperationandstartdefrostingautomatically. Thetimetodefrostmayvaryfrom4to10minutesaccordingtotheoutdoortemperatureand
theamountoffrostbuildupontheoutdoorunit.
2. Awhitemistmaygenerateduetoalargetemperaturedifferencebetweenairinletandairoutlet onCOOLmodeinanindoorenvironmentthathasahighrelativehumidity. Awhitemistmaygenerateduetomoisturegeneratedfromdefrostingprocesswhentheair conditionerrestartsinHEATmodeoperationafterdefrosting.
3. Youmayhearalowhissingsoundwhenthecompressorisrunningorhasjuststoppedrunning. Thissoundisthesoundoftherefrigerantflowingorcomingtoastop. Youcanalsohearalow"squeak"soundwhenthecompressorisrunningorhasjuststopped running.Thisiscausedbyheatexpansionandcoldcontractionoftheplasticpartsintheunit whenthetemperatureischanging. Anoisemaybeheardduetolouverrestoringtoitsoriginalpositionwhenpowerisfirstturnedon.

Thisisanormalconditionwhentheairconditionerhasnotbeenusedforalongtimeorduringfirst useoftheunit.

Thisiscausedbytheindoorunitgivingoffsmellspermeatedfrombuildingmaterial,fromfurniture, orsmoke.
6.
Whenindoortemperaturereachesthetemperaturesettingonairconditioner,thecompressorwill stopautomatically,andtheairconditionerturnstoFANonlymode.Thecompressorwillstartagain whentheindoortemperaturerisesonCOOLmodeorfallsonHEATmode(Forcoolingandheating modelsonly)tothesetpoint.

insideoftheunit.
(2)Stoptheairconditioneranddisconnectpower. (3)Theoutdoorunitrequiresperiodicmaintenance
andcleaning.Donotattempttodothisyourself. Contactyourdealerorservicer.
Removethebatteriesfromtheremotecontroller.
Checkthatthewiringisnotbrokenoffor disconnected. Checkthattheairfilterisinstalled. Checkiftheairoutletorinletisblockedafterthe airconditionerhasnotbeenusedforalongtime.
Donottouchthemetalpartsoftheunitwhen removingthefilter.Injuriescanoccurwhen handlingsharpmetaledges. Donotusewatertocleaninsidetheairconditioner. Exposuretowatercandestroytheinsulation, leadingtopossibleelectricshock. Whencleaningtheunit,firstmakesurethatthe powerandcircuitbreakerareturnedoff.
