HELPFUL TOOLS
An allen wrench is included with the hardware.
You will need a small adjustable wrench for the seed guards. You may also
need a pair of needle nose pliers.
You may want to use your own hand or power tools, but PREVUE is not
responsible for damage caused by over-tightening or improper use.

CARE FOR BIRDS
CAGE PLACEMENT
Place the cage away from drafts and drafty areas. Make sure
the cage is not in direct sun, or that your bird will have plenty of
shaded areas. Keep the cage away from strong fumes and odors.
ACTIVITY TOYS
Activity toys are vital for maintaining a bird’s mental and physical
health. Select a variety of toys to meet different instinctual
activities—foraging, grooming, movement, sound, discovery,
and more. Regularly rotate new and familiar toys through the
cage. Do not overcrowd the cage environment. Periodically
supervise birds at play and inspect toys for replacement or
replenishment.

Assemble the CAGE FRAME.

You will need these pieces:

Lay the front panel on the floor.
Slip the tab on the lower side panel
onto the sleeve on the frame leg.
Attach the panels together at the
top with one LONG screw.

Add the other side panel and
the back panel, and secure all
top corners with a LONG screw.

Fully insert the rolling casters
into the base of the frame legs.
When this stage is complete,
stand the cage upright.

Assemble the cage SIDES
& ROOF. You will need these
pieces:
Slip the side panels into place, guiding
the panel down through the brackets.
At the base of the panels, insert the
extended center wire into the hole on
the side panel frame.

Insert the corner posts at the base of the roof
frame into the open corners on the cage frame.
Secure the roof in place with SHORT screws.

Assemble the HAMMERTONE
PLAYTOP UNIT. You will need
these pieces, in this order:

Insert the post from PT2.1 into the
open end of PT2.2. Attach this unit to
the playtop with LONG screws.

Attach the PT3 perch/cup bar to the
unit with LONG screws.

Insert the PT6 short perch into the
perch/cup bar.
Insert the PT4 ladder into the perch/
cup bar at the top end, and into the
playtop frame at the bottom end.
Insert the PT5 cup holders into the
perch/cup bar, and then insert the PT5
cups into the holders.
Insert the PT1 playtop tray.

Install the ACCESSORIES.
You will need these pieces:
Install the perch by inserting both
slotted ends onto a horizontal wire

Insert the tray into the bottom channels.
Insert the grille into the top channels.
Hook the grille clip onto the short horizontal
wire above the tray. Clip the top portion over
the grille handle to secure the grille in place.
Open the cup door.
Insert the cup holder into the sleeves.
Insert the cup into the cup holder.

Assemble the SEED GUARDS.
You will need these pieces:

guard upside down on the floor as shown.
Align the holes on the flashing strips at the corners.
nsert a SHORT screw through both guards and

tighten the nut in place.

Follow the same method with the
BACK guard and SIDE guard panels.
Flip the two-piece seed guard units right-side-up.
Make sure the FRONT guard—with the notches along
the bottom—is positioned at the front of the cage.
Insert the TABS on the SIDE guards into the sleeves
on the frame legs.
Finish attaching the seed guards together at the two
open corners with the remaining short screw/nut pairs.

Your playtop home is
now fully assembled
and ready for use.
