Remove white wire from pin foil side of the PLL. Connect cut trace. Remove second white wire on foil side towards the front of the radio Find purple wire behind ABC band switch. This wire is 3 inches long and has an open end with a piece of clear tubing over the end. Connect this wire to board ground. A good place is on the foil side where you took the second whi The spot closest to the front edge is ground. That's it! You now have three bands of 40CH's. Optional, retune rear slug for max peak power on CH 20. This slug has white wax on the top, It is tuned for 28mhz, typical 5 watt pep improvement balanced RF power output across bands.

I make a special EPROM expansion board that will add 4 more bands to radios that use either Binary or BCD programming, it also adds a 10KHz shift function as well,

and
It will give 1 band down, 1 band up, UK 40 (up 64 channels without Alpha ch hops), NZ 40 (down 63 channels) and 10KHZ shift.
On a 40 channel radio it will give coverage fr the normal low,mid and high bands of 26.515-27.855), that is a total of 167 channels !
I can also make a custom board upon request which will give whatever frequency range you want (within the limits of the radio).
