IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION. READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. Follow label information and instructions concerning Wet or Damp Locations, installation near combustible materials, insulation, building materials, and proper lamping. Do not install in areas subject to combustible vapors or gases. Before wiring to power supply and during servicing or relamping, turn off power at fuse or circuit breaker.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

CAT. NO. 37F WITH 37C ACC. J-BOX

1. Install the conduit (by others) to align with 1/2-14 tapped

holes to be used in fixture housing or accessory J-Box. (Fig. 1)

2. Remove screws retaining socket plate and lift out. (Fig. 3).

3. Install accessory J-Box, Cat. No. 37C, if used on back or

bottom of housing. (Fig. 2) a) Remove housing coverplate and gasket from insde

housing and discard coverplate. b) Install J-Box and gasket using two screws which held

the coverplate. c) Install the J-Box coverplate using the two screws

supplied

4. When installed in concrete pour or mortar and in a situation where direct water exposure is frequent, the concrete or mortar is to be suitably treated with a sealing or repelling agent to insure that the fixture housing does not remain continuously wet.

5. Nail adjustable mounting brackets to forms for poured concrete or

frame-in-housing as required. Secure conduit to housing. IMPORTANT: When installed in brick or brick veneered walls, the

recessed portion of the housing must be coated with asphaltum or similar protective material. Some types of bricks retain moisture and other substances that can damage the housing. Do not clean brick wall with acids while fixture is in place.

6. Make electrical connections. Connect ground wires to green ground leads. Connect white (common) to white leads. Connect power supply (line) to black leads. (see wiring diagram).

ARNING: DO NOT pinch wires. Consult a Qualified Electrician

W for all other options that require other wiring configurations.

Replace socket plate and secure with screws. (Fig. 3)

7. Install trim ring and gasket using 4 flathead screws supplied. (Fig. 3)

9. Install lamps.

10. Install gasket and faceplate assembly with the 4 flathead screws supplied. (Fig. 3)
