OPERATION
Plug the mains lead into a 32 Amp 110V socket. (A 110V scoket will be coloured YELLOW). If operating from a transformer, ensure that the CONTINUOUS rating of the transformer is greater than 2000W. (This will require an intermittent or "power tool" rating of at least 3000W)
If connecting via an extension lead, make sure that the lead is rated at 32 Amps, and that it is fully unwound.
Place the EH0209 on a firm flat stable surface, and apply the brakes to both braked castors.
Use the two switches on the side to select the required operation:
One switch on = Low Heat (1000W)
Both switches on = High Heat (2000W)
Do not touch the air output grille when the heater is in operation, because it will be hot and may cause burns.
Unplug the heater from the mains when not in use.
OPERATING COSTS
At time of going to press, the average cost of electricity is £0.11 per unit (kilowatt-hour). The amount you are being charged will be shown on your electricity bill.
At this cost, the EH0209 will cost £0.11 per hour to run on the "low heat " setting, and £0.22 per hour to run on the "high heat" setting with the thermostat set to its maximum.

MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, turn the heater off, and disconnect from the mains supply. The heater may then be cleaned using a damp cloth with a drop of washing-up liquid to remove any dust or dirt from the case. Do no use stronger detergents or solvents as these may damage the paint finish.
Using a dry paint-brush, remove any dust from the grilles. If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or an authorised service centre. If the mains plug needs to be replaced, proceed as follows:
Connect the brown wire to the terminal labelled "L" or
"Phase"
Connect the blue wire to the terminal labelled "N", or
unlabelled.
Connect the green/yellow wire to the terminal labelled with
the earth symbol or "E".
Make sure that the cord-grip is positioned correctly (over
the outer sheath of the cable) and it fully tightened.
REPLACING THE TUBE
Disconnect from the mains supply, and wait until the heater has cooled down.
Using a pozidriv screwdriver, remove the grille. Push the tube sideways against the spring, and remove. To insert a new tube, push one end of the tube into the
socket against the spring, and insert the free end into the opposite socket. Do not touch the glass tube with bear hands.
Replace the grille. Replacement tubes can be obtained from your supplier, or by
telephoning (0845) 459 4816 quoting part number EH0603.
