A. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for purchasing this patio heater. With the unpredictable British weather this easy to use energy efficient patio heater can be powered up to provide instant direct heat to your patio or deck area all year round. This heater can also be used to provide supplementary heat to a garage or workshop.
CAUTION: Read and follow all instructions before operating this heater. Failure to comply with these instructions may cause a fire, electrical shocks or other injury to persons or property
WARNING
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
1. Extreme care should be taken when any product is used by, or near children, and whenever the product is left operating and unattended.
2. Before operating the product remove the unit from its packaging and check it is in good condition.
3. DO NOT let children play with the packaging, for example plastic Bags, as there is a danger of suffocation.
4. DO NOT operate any product with a damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the Manufacturer or an authorised service centre in order to avoid a hazard.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
6. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit, as this may void warranty. Take the unit to a qualified service engineer for inspection and repair.
7. Check the household voltage to ensure it matches the units rating plate specification before operating.
8. DO NOT cover, or block any of the heater grilles.
9. Always unplug the appliance from the power source before servicing or removing the unit.
10. Always use an RCD (Residual Current Device) socket or plug adaptor to prevent an electrical shock due to accidental damage of the power cord or appliance.
11. Always unplug the product when not in use. To disconnect from the power supply, grip the plug and pull from the power socket. Never pull by the cord.
12. DO NOT run power cord under carpeting, or cover with rugs or runners.
13. Arrange the cord away from areas where it may be tripped over.
14. DO NOT insert or allow objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may damage the product and could cause an electrical shock or fire.
15. DO NOT use the product in areas where petrol, paint, or other flammable goods and objects are present.
16. Use the heater on a firmly mounted vertical pole (flat surface) or ceiling mounted. Should the heater be tilted or fall over, the auto cut off switch will activate.
17. The unit must be correctly installed according to the instructions.
18. When assembling, keep clear from any board or flammable material.
19. Do not use the heater near bathtubs, wash areas or swimming pools.

21. Do not place on or near flammable things such as gas, petrol, paint, curtains etc.
22. Do not put a cover on the grille of the heater head, during operation.
23. Do not leave unattended if the heater is switched on.
24. The unit must be placed at least 180cm from the floor level and at least 60cm away from the parasol cloth or ceiling.
25. The unit is at high temperature during operation. It remains hot for a period of time after power off. Potential danger would occur when touching it during this period.
26. One or two dark points may exist on the surface of the heating elements during the first few minutes after it is turned on. This is quite normal, and will not affect the performance of the unit.
27. The unit must be securely grounded during operation.
28. A tilt switch is fitted inside the unit for safety purposes.

B. BS PLUG WIRING
WARNING: This heater is equipped with moulded UK plug from
manufacturing. It is not recommended to use re-wire plug in this heater. Please consult with your local services. We’re recommend to use splash proof socket if re-wire plug is replaced.
Wiring Instructions: Should it be necessary to change the plug please note the wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code :
BLUE - NEUTRAL
BROWN - LIVE
GREEN AND YELLOW - EARTH
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying he terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal, which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK.
2. The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal, which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
3. The GREEN/YELLOW is the EARTH and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or or coloured GREEN OR GREEN/YELLOW.
4. Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and fastened correctly.
If a 13A (BS 1363) fused plug is used it must be fitted with a 13A fuse. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

Noted:
- Tip over switch is built inside of product.
- Auto power cut-out is built in each heater’s arm. It is automatically shut-off if arm is not fully opened.

E. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Unpack the electric parasol heater and make sure that all items are complete.
Step 1: Slide the pole clamp part (B) from mounting core. Place the Heater mounting core (A) on a Pole with diameter between 35-60 mm.
Step 2: Slip the pole clamp part (B) and fit it to the mounting core (A) from the bottom up.
Step 3: Fasten the pole clamp screw until the pole & firmly tightened with the parasol heater..
Step 4: Before operate the heater, please ensure that all three arms are fully lifted and secured. To do this, lift each arm by holding the small end handle and lift until a ‘click’ is heard and the arm is horizontal and fully locked.

Step 5: When you have finished
using the heater, allow each of the arms to cool down sufficiently before touching. Beware, as these will still be hot for a while after operation. Then, whilst holding the arm with one hand, press the fold lock button as shown in the diagram with the other hand and gently lower each arm to a vertical position.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FORCE THE ARMS DOWN WITHOUT PRESSING THE FOLD LOCK BUTTON AS THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS DAMAGE.
F. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Check the household voltage to ensure it matches the units rating plate specification before operating. Plug into a power supply (220-240V~ 50Hz) that is located in a safe, dry area.
1. The switch on the heater centre piece is used to control the heating tubes ON/OFF. Press ‘I’ on to turn single tube ON; press ‘II’ on to turn two tubes ON. Press ‘I” &”II” on to turn three tubes ON. Note: Each heating tube is 650W.
2. Although this electric parasol heater is splash proof, do not use when raining or in wet conditions.
3. Always unplug from the electrical outlet, when the heater is not in use.
G. MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Unplug, disconnect the heater from the power supply and remove from the parasol pole (reverse step from ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION), before attempting any maintenance work.
Dampen a clean cloth with water and use on the exterior of the unit
to remove any dust or dirt.
Never use detergents, corrosive elements, solvents or any
chemicals to clean this product.
