Follow the steps in the order listed in this assembly guide. For more product information,
visit us at www.precor.com.
WARNING At least two people are required to assemble the equipment. DO
NOT attempt assembly by yourself.
Assembly requirements
Important
Before you fully tighten a fastener, check that its head is flush with the surface of
the equipment. If not, cross-threading may have occurred. DO NOT atte mpt to rework the
assembly as more damage to the equipment will occur. Instead, contact Customer Support at
www. precor.com
We recommend you:
Assemble the equipment close to where you plan to use it.
Assemble the equipment on a solid, flat surface, so that it remains level and stable.
Locate the equipment at least 19.7 inches (0.5 meter) away from walls or furniture
on either side of the equipment, and 19.7 inches (0.5 meter) away from objects
behind or in front of the equipment.
DO NOT move the equipment without assistance.

DANGER DO NOT attempt to connect electrical power until all
assembly procedures are complete and the console is
properly installed.
Do not stretch, crimp, or damage the cables. Cables damaged by improper
installation.
A fish tape can be helpful during this procedure.
To assemble the climber:
1. Remove the two hex nuts and washers that secure the handrail clamp (see Figure 1).
2. While your assistant holds the handlebar near the console mount, feed the heart rate
sensor cable and data cable through the opening in the upright support.
3. Pull them through the top of the support and through the opening in the console
mount. Place excess cable inside the upright support.
4. Insert the handlebar flange onto the screws protruding through the handrail clamp and
rotate the handlebar to align it with the side screw holes (see Figure 2).
CAUTION Hold the handlebar upright until it is securely fastened in
Step 5.
5. Secure the handlebars with the two bolts and washer (previously removed) and then
fully tighten the two screws to secure the handlebars (see Figure 3).
6. Slide the top cover onto the upright support (see Figure 4).
7. Using the cable assembly from the console box, feed the cables through the opening in
the console mount, then down through the upright support, and out through the
opening in the lower back of the support (see Figure 4).
8. Ask your assistant to hold the upright support while you attach it to the base frame
using four screws and four washers (see Figure 5). Fully tighten the
fasteners in an alternating order using a 2-inch wrench.

CAUTION In the following steps, be careful not to injure yourself on the sharp edges of
the metal bracket as you connect the power cable.
To connect the power cable:
1. Connect the power cable to its receptacle on the base frame.
2. Tilt the top cover to insert the front tab, then align the rear tab. Apply pressure to lock the rear tab in
place.
3. Slide the rubber grommet onto the top cover (see Figure 6). Apply pressure to snap it into place.
Attach the handrails and bottle holder
To attach the handrails and bottle holder:
1. Slide a handrail boot onto each handrail (see Figure 7).
2.
Insert the lower handrails onto the base pegs, then slide the upper portions of the
handrails into the handrail clamp until the foam pads touch the clamp (see Figure
8).
3. Secure the lower handrails using four screws and a 5/32-inch hex key. Fully
tighten.
4. Using a 1/2-inch socket wrench, tighten the two nuts beneath the upper handrail
clamp until the handrails cannot be pulled out of the clamp.
5. Position the two handrail boots so that the lip on each boot faces outward
and slide the boots down onto the rear crossbar (see Figure 9).
6. Position the end caps so that they cover the ends of the rear crossbar and
the lips on the lower handrail boots. Attach them using two screws and a
5/32-inch hex key (see Figure 9). Fully tighten.
The lip of each handrail boot should fit beneath the end cap.
7. Position the water bottle holder (see Figure 10) and attach it to the right handrail
using three screws .
8. Clean the steps, plastic covers, and upright support with a soft cloth.

9. Level the climber as described in Level the equipment.
DO NOT allow anyone to use the climber until it has been leveled and
made stable.

To complete the console installation, refer to the Installation Guide included in your console box.
Level the equipment
Make sure the equipment is level before allowing anyone to use it.
CAUTION To eliminate movement, make sure the adjustable feet are in contact with the floor. Rotating the adjustable feet cannot
compensate for extremely uneven surfaces.
To level the equipment:
1. Try to rock the equipment. If there is any movement, tip the equipment to one side to locate the adjustable foot.
2. Correct the height of each adjustable foot as follows:
If you want to ... Then turn the adjustable feet …
Raise the equipment Counterclockwise
Lower the equipment Clockwise
3. When you are finished adjusting the equipment, recheck for movement and readjust as necessary.
