2. GBAL
There exist trace metals more or less in the soil and rock or the mine area. Detector
probe generates a signal when close to the ground, forming a mineralization reaction
interference. In the process of searching along the ground, change the distance of the
probe with the ground caused by the critical voice suddenly large and small changes ,

solve this problem , this instrument is designed to ground balance line, to minimize

This knob to adjust the instrument during use according to the actual situation, the

3. TUNE
Tune knob is in collaboration with various operating knob debugging instrument used
to coordinate the arrow keys when using the built- balance each knob are likely to use
this knob to adjust the fit of the instrument, it is ultimately the instrument to achieve
the best working condition.
4. DISC
DISC knob is to adjust the critical tone sound. Only when the signal is detected the
instrument will send out alarm sound. The clockwise rotation of the knob from the
left , the sound from nothing to have , from small to large. In the detection, should be
transferred to one slight hum, the sound is very small, as long as can barely hear on
the line, this is the critical voice. Only the faint sound transferred to this situation, the
instrument has the highest sensitivity signal reception. If too much of the critical tone
or no sound out of tune the instrument signal sensitivity will be reduced .
Before the critical tone sound, be sure to press the reset button, after a good tune and
then release the button. If in the detection process, the critical sound gradually
increase or decrease or even disappear, just press the reset button so that the sound of
recovery, then proceed detecting.
After using the instrument, the tuner is rotated counterclockwise twist to the left end
and turn off the power, please do not make the instrument power vacant on.
5. SENS
The SENS knob controls the sensitivity of the instrument. The knob counterclockwise twist to the end, the sensitivity of the instrument will be reduced to
minimum, small depth detection; when screwed to the right end, the highest
sensitivity, the maximum depth of detection .
We always want to explore deeper, but do not ignore the impact of mine reaction. In
large of mineralization reaction section, increased sensitivity can cause false signals
after the instrument sound chaos everywhere, but explore anything. When this
happens, it should be appropriate to reduce the sensitivity to reduce the effect of
complex formation. But there is no debris in the soil evenly place, can be transferred
to the highest sensitivity, when the instrument reaches the maximum detection depth.

Note : Manipulator must press reset button after adjusting SENS knob every time.
6. Phone Out
SLKD-M801 instrument can be equipped with headphones. After plug in headphones,
external speakers sound interruption, the operator can hear the sound from the headset,
so that operating in a noisy or night environment. Use the headset to get battery
saving, meanwhile it is easy to determine the sound subtle changes, so as to achieve
better detection results. The headset is connected to the detector, we need to plug the
headset into the host back-end headphone jack.
Introduction of Signaling Display Device
1. Power LED
This light up after starting up, it indicates that the instrument is in a state of power-on.
2. Low Voltage LED
When this light is on, the meter voltage is insufficient , the instrument will not work
normally, you need to replace or recharge.

3. Micro Signal indicator
When this light display, the instrument is sensitive to detect small objects, on behalf
of a small object buried deeper.
4. Signal Indicator
When an object is detected or sensed electromagnetic signal source, the intensity of
this light display will represent the size of the object to be detected or buried depth.
5. RESET Button
There are two buttons at the bottom of indicating meter - Reset Button , also known as zero button.
If you hold the button down , the instrument will always be in reset state , will not be reacted for
any signal.
Before adjusting any knob on the instrument, should first hold the reset button down, after finish
adjusting, release the button. Indicating meter resetting occurs deviation along with changes in the
environment, press , release the button , the instrument will reset through pressing and releasing
the button,therefore, the entire detection process should often press the button to reset.
After press and release the button , memory circuits inside the machine will make a note to adjust
the working status, if you forget press and release the button, it is bound to affect the normal work
and detecting depth of the machine.
Note: You need to warm-up time of about 1-3 minutes once machine on . If the instrument not
reset, press the button and release , instrument will be in the reset state.

How to Install
1. Connecting PVC bar with detection disk. First remove detection disk connecting
rod and the nut, and then use connecting rod and nut fix PVC bar on the detection disk,
as showed in Figure 1.

2. Connect the host machine with detection disk using connecting device.

3. Insert detection disk plug into detection disk interface of host machine.
4. Place 8 AA battery into the battery box , turn on the power switch, you can begin
to detect preheating .
Kindly Reminder: Please use the rechargeable AA battery to avoid the environmental
pollution.

How to Operate
SLKD-M801 detector is a simple, convenient and practical, superior performance of
instrument . Operating methods as follows :
First, we should note that whatever the detection method to use , should pay attention
to keep the probe from the surface corresponding height, the probe should not be
directly caused by friction with the ground to make equipment not work properly or
damage to the instrument. After adjusting the height of 10-15 cm, or adjust height
from the ground according to the actual situation, then move forward slowly and
smoothly. Can not fluctuated random swinging instrument, thereby interrupting the
instrument balance resulting instrument does not work properly, caused chaos alarm
continuely. Fast moving around or just shake the probe will lose the signal source we
will detect, thus affecting to detect the target .
Metal detection< GBAL mode > :
Balance mode is that all-metal mode. This way you can maximize eliminate the earth
mineralization reaction. Which can reach the maximum detection depth . And it has
better penetration, so no matter indoor or outdoor job search, often choose this way.
In the balance mode of operation, as long as the probe is moved above the target, the
instrument will emit a continuous sound, any type of metal will make the sound
increases, the meter reading rises .
Adjustment procedure as follows :
1. We need to find a empty place there not exist any metal objects .
2. Lift the probe of 70-80 centimeters from the ground .
3. Turn on the power switch , adjust the GBAL knob to the 9 o'clock position
appropriately.
4. Hold the reset button down, rotate DISC knob to adjust the signal critical
instrument sound .
5. Make the probe close to the ground, about 10-15 cm from the ground, then if the
critical sound increases, raised the probe, hold the reset button down, pullback the
DISC knob a little, release the reset button, then close to the ground and try again, if
the sound is still increasing, then according to the above steps again to pullback a little
and try again, after several adjustments until critical sound does not change through
lift and drop the probe, the ground balance station is good now. After the adjustment,
the earth mineralization reaction is substantially excluded, the probe move freely on

the ground will not change the critical sound, only in the face of the metal target , the
signal will send out.
6. If the probe is close to the ground sounds small, raised the probe, hold the reset
button down, rotate the DISC knob to the right < clockwise >, and then release the
button close to the ground to try again, if still small voice, adjust once again until
probe lift -and-drop voice became unchanged.
Note : Before each of these adjustments must press the reset button, after adjustment,
release the button .
7. After the adjustment above, it can slowly move the probe along the ground, in the
detection process equipment should always keep humming - sound critical , if the
sound slowly increases or decreases, press and release the reset button to make critical
voice returned to normal. In the face of metal, have a greater sound, there will be a
clear response on the dashboard.
Mineral Prospecting
With SLKD-M801 type instrument can detect buried mineral deposits which not very
deep, including natural gold bullion, pulse gold deposit sand deposit, and so on all
kinds of high-grade ore .
Detection of natural gold nuggets like finding metal coins as ground balance approach
to proceed. Most nuggets buried in the high degree of mineralization of formation , so
well balanced must be adjusted carefully in advance.
GOLD in the sand , as well as gold in the form of fine pieces mixed with sand
together, and there is often a large amount of heavy metals in sediment deposits, the
same signal caused by the mixture of black metal , but the reaction is weaker than the
pure metal , and generally sounding relatively wide area .
SLKD-M801 can be conducted screening of ore block. When performing this work,
the operator does not need to hand-held detector but the instrument is fixed in a
non-metallic support, tune out the critical sound, then make the pieces of ore close to
probe, according to the size of the sound to determine the high or low levels of

Case 1
In an old house in search of deeply buried relics, for a long time due to the wide
variety of discarded metal debris such as nails, wire, old locks, pots and other debris
buried underground, these things are generally buried in shallow, the larger signal will
be issued, in order to exclude the debris away to detect buried deep targets. In this
case , we should first put metal furniture moved out of the house, a slight decrease of
the sensitivity of the instrument and carefully adjusted the balance . When the probe
found that there is a small metal debris will be cleared out, by over- meticulous
cleanup, after the shallow soil layer of metal objects dug up, then search of the deeper
site.
Case 2
In a place there are many scrap nails, detection signal emitted from nails everywhere,
that make the detection work is very inconvenient. Encountered such a situation, you
can put a nail on the ground in advance, then use the probe swept the top nails, if the
sound of the instrument increases,hold the reset button down, rotate left
( counter-clockwise ) a little of TUNE knob, release the button to explore once again,
if the sound is reduced , move probe away same as above, hold the button down,
rotate right ( clockwise) a little of TUNE knob, then release the button to move the
probe above nails test again, until adjust the sound unchanged. After a good tune, the
buried nails and smaller black metal than the nails sound of the instrument will not
increase, while all non-ferrous metal and black metal bigger than nails have a larger
signal sound.
Overview
Detection work is a meticulous and arduous job. It requires the operator to have
patience, confidence and perseverance. In practice, the detector is not able to detect
any metal objects underground show a clear picture, it is only able to predict about the
nature of the target position of the metal , or metal objects. In practice, the accuracy of

detecting, probing depth and geological environmental conditions, soil humidity, size
of the object buried, buried objects length of time, the degree of oxidation of the metal
object, the quality of the metal object, the operator's operation correctness to form
relationships. To be able to find exactly what they need, but also requires the operator
to have a wealth of experience, according to the response of the instrument, analyzed
carefully to make the right judgments .
Troubleshooting
1. In the course should be concerned about battery indicator, if the power is low, the
instrument will lead to inadequate transmit power and anti- mineralization reaction
diminished capacity and internal balance system does not work , the performance of
shallow depth, speaker rules buzzing sound.
2. If the instrument is not working properly, then the sound can not be reduced after
increase, indicating that lack of electricity , it should charge or replace the battery.
3. Please do not press the button at the top of the metal, should press the button on the
ground where no any metal. When detecting need to release the button.
4. If the instrument is not able to maintain a "critical voice", the instrument is failure,
should stop using, and return for repairing.
5. Warning : You must ensure that the battery is loaded in the right direction,
otherwise the instrument will bring irreversible damage.
6. Instrumentation does not respond or if no alarm sound after adjust the instrument ,
please warm up 3-5 minutes, if the local temperature is too low, please extend the
warm-up time .
7. if boot , power light is off . Check the batteries if there is enough battery power.

Maintenance and Repair
SLKD-M801 is a instrument with sophisticated design and exquisite workmanship.
The following suggestions will help you maintain the product well and prolong its
service life.
1. Cleaning
The part of the probe is the most easily soiled. You can use a towel soaked in clean
water scrub carefully, but the plug of connected probe cable absolutely can not wet,
once plugs damp will loss detection capabilities, in which case the plug should dry
before using. Instrument box is not waterproof, can not be washed with water, only
wipe with a towel. Can not operate in rain day outdoor.
2. Temperature
The instrument can not be placed near the fire or other high temperature environments.
It can not be placed directly under prolonged exposure to the sun . It can not be placed
in a low temperature environment in the cold for a long time. If so, there will be some
parts of the instrument may cause breakage and aging.
3. Brine and sulfuric acid
Brine, sulfuric acid have great causticity. If the instrument run into brine and sulfuric
acid should immediately wipe clean. Be careful not to let water into the engine, and
quickly dry with a towel or with a hair dryer

4. Batteries
The batteries should be placed as carved symbols, if long-term does not boot, please
remove the batteries to avoid corruption in the machine box.
5. Magnetization
Instrument should be placed in a moisture-proof and dry place. Can not be placed
with other radiation source, electromagnetic products together to prevent the
instrument from being magnetized, caused the instrument can not properly use and the
program confusing.
Safety Measures
1. Do not surpass specified voltage of power supply system. Please use specified
peripheral equipment.
2. Do not detach the prospecting instrument or charger under any circumstance. It is
strictly forbidden to modify the equipment. If warranty label of the instrument is
damaged, warranty service voids.
3.Do not use the prospecting instrument on thunderstorm days or in the burning sun.
4. Do not place the prospecting instrument beside stove or in other high temperature
environments.
5. This product is a precision instrument , be sure to pay attention to when using the
instrument gently to prevent the fall, bumps.
