PPA SLIDING User Manual
Before using the OPERATOR, carefully read and follow all instructions in
this manual.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or by persons lacking experience and knowledge, unless instructed to
use the appliance or under the supervision of a person Responsible for their safety. It is recommended
that children are guided and supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
It is important for people's safety to follow all instructions. Keep these
instructions.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Important safety instructions. Follow all instructions in this
manual. Incorrect installation can lead to serious injury.
- Do not allow children to handle the equipment remote control. Keep the remote
control away from children, avoiding unnecessary openings and, consequently,
decreasing the safety of the place;
- Do not operate the system unless you are certain that there are no children,
animals, objects or obstacles in or near the gate path;
- Do not automate gates that have wicket doors;
- Disconnect the mains (power supply) when performing cleaning or any
maintenance. The maintenance / installation of the operator system must be executed by a
specialized technician;
- Oftenly check the installation, safety system, xing brackets, mechanical wear, damage or
imbalance, good mechanical condition (proper opening and closing). Perform a periodic cleaning
on the gate guide to prevent rusting which requires more power from the operator. Do not perform

repairs or adjustments on your own. Look for a qualied technician to perform the repairs, as
improper installation or repair failure can cause injury to the user;
- This appliance is considered suitable for use in countries with a hot weather and constant
humidity. It can also be used in other countries as long as the temperature range described in the
technical specications in the technical manual (available at www.ppa.com.br) is respected;
- It is very important to wait until the operator stops moving and to keep people away until the
gate is completely open or closed;
- If the power cord is damaged, ask a technician to replace it in order to avoid risks. The use of
grounding wire is required;
- Before installation, it is necessary to check, on the identication label, whether the temperature
range of the equipment is suitable for the installation site.
- Caution when using the operator unlock system for a manual gate drive;
- Operators must be installed internally and shall not advance over public ways.
IDENTIFICATION OF EQUIPMENT
For additional user safety, PPA operators have identication and instruction marking labels.
ATTENTION
Always check the condition of the labels. If adhesives become damaged or
illegible, purchase another ones from a PPA Representative.
SHUTDOWN MEANS
For complete shutdown of the operator, it is necessary to use a shutdown device that must be
incorporated into xed wiring and located near the operator.
Examples of total shutdown devices: Circuit breakers, ON / OFF switch, etc.
Note: The total shut-o device incorporated in the xed wiring must guarantee the
disconnection of all the conductors of the electrical network, except the GND.
REMOTE CONTROL
The PPA remote control is made of special and resistant material. When it is not responding
to the commands and the LED intensity is reduced or, depending on the model, the LED changes
to red, it may be necessary to replace the battery.
When inserting the new battery, note the polarity (+ and -) indicated on the base of the
transmitter.

OPERATION
To activate your operator, press for 1 second the PPA remote control button that is included
with the machine.
If the remote control is activated while the gate is opening, the operator will stop and will
remain that way until the remote control is activated again. When this happens, the gate will be
closed.
If the remote control is activated while the gate is closing,
for safety reasons, the gate will stop and automatically open.
UNLOCK SYSTEM
In case of power failure, the machine has an unlocking system to open and close the gate
manually. For this, check below the model of your operator:
DZ RIO AND DZ IND OPERATORS
1) To operate the gate in manual mode, turn the key counter-clockwise;
2) Move the lever to the left;
3) Move the gate leaf;
4) To operate again in automatic mode, return the lever to the starting position and turn
the key clockwise.
COMMAND BOARD
The electronic board allows the installation of other accessories that add functions to the
operator and give more comfort and safety to the user:
PHOTOCELL: Prevents people or
vehicles are taken by surprise on the
gate path.
When some obstruction is located
in the sensor line of sight, the photocell
(active IR sensor) prevents closing or stops
the closing movement, automatically
opening the gate, thus avoiding collision
with people, objects, cars or pets.
COURTESY LIGHT: Turns on a courtesy light where the operator is installed when the gate
is opening, allowing to check if there is anyone near the residence.
The light turns o only after complete closing of the gate and an adjustable time delay.
TRAFFIC LIGHT: Warns pedestrians
about entry or exit of vehicles at a
particular location.
The indicator comes into operation
when the gate is commanded to open and
turns o only when it is fully closed.
The accessories described above are optional and are not included in the
product.
It is recommended to use light and photocells to increase safety in the automation
