1 DOMAIN OF USE
This outdoor lighting with a passive infra-red motion detector is the ideal outdoors security
system for your house, office, warehouse, garage, etc. It is equipped with the most
advanced passive infra-red technology to detect the heat radiation of people, animals, and
cars within a range of approximately 10 meters. In case of any movement the lamp will go
on. The period the lamp burns can be adjusted to anywhere from 5 seconds to 12 minutes.
A built-in semi darkness switch, turns off the motion sensor during those hours in order to
save energy. This also prolongs the product life of the lamp. This LED floodlight is suited
as security illumination as well as offering comfort: desired visitors will automatically
receive illumination when necessary.
WARNING! For your own safety, read this manual and the general
safety instructions carefully before using the appliance. Your LED
floodlight should only be given to other users together with these
instructions.
2 SYMBOLS
In this manual and/or on the machine the following symbols are used:
3 WARNING
Do not install when it is raining.
Be sure to switch off power source before installing.
Make sure that the power wiring comes from circuit with an external 16A miniature
circuit breaker for the short circuit protection or a suitable fuse.
In case of problems during the installation of the detector, contact an authorised
expert - this product must be connected to a 220V - 240 VAC, 50 Hz power source.
Immediately replace the cracked or broken protective glass; always use original parts
for this.
4 MOUNTING THE LED FLOODLIGHT (FIG. 1)
Exclusively suited for fixed mounting.

The power is to be turned off before mounting the LED floodlight with sensor.
The fitting is to be mounted in such a way that the angle of inclination of the
longitudinal shaft of the lamp (burning position) is less than 4° with respect to the
ground area.
Secure the fitting with two screws or bolts, out of reach and at a minimum height of
2.5m.
The grounding wire (yellow/green) of the connection cable must be connected to the
connection terminal, indicated with grounding symbol. The power wires are to be
fitted in the connection block.
Secure the sealing rubber to guarantee the spatter resistance, and ensure that all
mounting screws are properly fastened.
Installation height of this lamp should be minimum 2.5m.

5 WIRING DIAGRAM (FIG. 2)
Fix the wiring in the connection block according to the included diagram (Fig. 2):

b=blue conductor power cable (N)
c=yellow/green: grounding cable
d=control (red)
6 USING THE FLOODLIGHT
Simply plug in the cable of the floodlight to the socket.
7 SETTING THE LIGHT SYSTEM (FIG. 3)
7.1 Test mode
Turn the LITE control and the Time control anticlockwise to the edge (the TEST
position).
Set the SENS. Control to its mid-point.
Turn on the wall switch. The floodlight will turn on for about 1 minute to warm up.
Then it turns off.
Walk through the detection area. The floodlight turns on when you move and turns off
when you stop. Wait for the floodlight to turn off before moving again to test the
sensor.
Adjust the motion sensor to cover the desired detection area.
For a smaller coverage area, point the sensor down; for a larger coverage area, point
the sensor up.
7.2 TIME adjustment
The TIME adjustment controls how long the floodlight will stay on after the motion
has been detected.
Turn the TIME control knob clockwise to increase (up to about 12 minutes) how long
the floodlights stay on or anti-clockwise to decrease (down to about 5 seconds) the
time delay.

7.3 LITE adjustment
The LITE adjustment determines at what light level the lighting system will start
operating when you set the sensor to Automatic Operation.
Provisionally turn the LITE control knob to the edge clockwise at the moon (dusk)
position. In this provisional setting mode, the motion sensor remains inactive during
daylight. At dusk when you find it is the LUX level desired for operation, simply set
the LITE control knob to the position that the motion sensor will become active as
daylight declines.
7.4 SENS. adjustment
The sensitivity adjustment may be adjusted to compensate for seasonal variations in
temperature and to reduce unwanted triggering. The optimum sensitivity can be achieved
by setting the SENS. control knob initially to its mid-point and then adjusting the control
knob clockwise to increase (up to 12 meters) the detecting distance or anti-clockwise to
decrease (down to 3 meters) the detecting distance.

8 THE FIELD OF DETECTION
The field of detection of the infrared sensor can be adjusted 30 degree in horizontal
direction and 30 degree in vertical direction. By means of horizontal adjustment, the
permanent 180° field of detection can be infinitely directed to the right or left (Fig. 4).
By means of vertical adjustment the detection range can be reduced or expanded
(Fig. 5).This way any false detections caused by movements from neighbours and
from the street are excluded.
The best detection is obtained by approaching the field of detection perpendicular to
its axis (Fig. 6).
If the field of detection is approaching the direction of its axis, the infrared detector
will, in some cases, respond later (Fig. 7)
9 POSSIBLE PROBLEMS
Ventilators, such as the discharge from a vapour cap or dryer (hot air movement) can
cause the lamp to switch on when it is not required to do so.
Passing cars (warm engines) can also cause your lamp to switch on.
Nearby trees and bushes, sudden changes in temperature and gusts of wind can
also cause the lamp to switch on.
If the lamp has been placed under a roof or under trees, then the lamp can also burn
during daylight hours.
If your lamp does not work then the bulb or fuse could be defective or there may have
been a failure in the electrical circuit.
If the temperature difference between the object to be detected and surrounding area
is too small (in the summer for example), then your lamp will react later. The range of
detection is then 10 meters instead of 12 meters for example.
If the electromagnetic interferences are strong enough (4KV electrostatic discharge,
3V/m electromagnetic HF-field and 1 KV electrical fast transient burst), then the lamp
may turn on unintentionally.
