How to Charge the batteries
1. Connect the charger unit to the battery connector.
2. Plug the charger into the wall outlet
3. If your battery is fully discharged, a 12v battery will take up to 6 hours to charge both batteries. And
16v battery will take up 8 – 9 hours to charge both batteries.
4. If you charge only one battery at a time, it will take half of the time.
The light on the charger will be red when the batteries are charging and will turn green when they are fully
charged. The batteries do not have a memory effect so you may use them even after a partial charge.
POWER MOTION offers high amp chargers that will charge the battery 4 times faster. If you require a
shorter recharge time, please contact us to order a high amp charger.

IMPORTANT WARNING – Avoid Damage by Accidental Turn-on
When you are finished using the heated vest, batteries should ALWAYS be disconnected from
battery connectors. This prevents the vest from turning on by itself and potentially causing
damage.
Here are few related scenarios:
1. When you are traveling, you may pack your vest into the luggage together with the batteries
in the pockets but make sure to disconnect the batteries. The pressure of other items in the
enclosed area could push the button and turn the vest on inside the luggage and start
heating up from the inside. No matter how you pack your vest always disconnect the
batteries first; never leave a battery plugged into the vest.
2. Avoid stacking items on top of the vest when it is not in use. The pressure and weight of
other gear could push the button and cause the vest to turn on without your knowledge. For
example, placing in with other bags in the back seat of your vehicle. Always disconnect the
batteries first.
3. When the heated vest is stored in an enclosed compartment, backpack, hand bag, etc. on
an off-road vehicle such as a snowmobile, dog sled, or any sport that may have bouncing
movement, this can cause surrounding objects inside the compartment to turn on vest.
Always disconnect the batteries first.
IMPORTANT WARNING – Don’t Get Wet
The heating system was designed for safe and reliable use in relatively dry conditions.
DO NOT modify or interfere with the electrical components in the heated vest or battery pack(s). The
heating system, including the battery pack, is not designed to be submerged under water.
If the vest gets wet during use (i.e. heavy sweating or rainy day), detach the battery pack and do not use until
the vest is fully dry.
In addition, the battery pack must never be immersed in water, as this will cause electrical faults. It is
important to keep all electrical parts dry.
IMPORTANT WARNING – DON’T allow the batteries to freeze
Leaving battery exposed to extreme cold temperature will decrease battery efficiency and will
cause long term damage. Keep the battery close to your body during usage. When they are not
being used, store them above freezing temperature.
