großer Sorgfalt entwickelt und hergestellt wird. Es bietet Ihnen präzise und zuverlässige
Leistungsmessung bei allen Witterungsbedingungen, bei einfacher und intuitiver Hand habung.
Bitte lesen Sie vor Gebrauch das Benutzerhandbuch genau durch und beachten Sie die
Hinweise zur richtigen Verwendung Ihres power2max Leistungsmessers.

Inbetriebnahme und Montage

WICHTIG:
Beachten Sie bei der Montage unbedingt die vorgeschriebenen Anzugsmomente. Sie finden diese
ebenfalls im Downloadbereich auf power2max . com. Zu stark oder zu schwach angezogene
Schraubverbindungen können den Leistungsmesser beschädigen und die Funktion beinträchtigen.
Bei Fahrradrahmen mit BB86 oder BB386EVO Innenlagerstandard muss die Kompatibilität zwi­schen Leistungsmesser und Rahmen vor der Montage geprüft werden.

BENÖTIGTE WERKZEUGE

• Bei Modellen mit Lockring-Verschluss (z. B. Cannondale Hollowgram, FSA BB386evo, Rotor
3D24, Rotor 3D30, Rotor 3D+ oder Specialized S-Works): Spezifisches Werkzeug zur Monta­ge der Kurbel am power2max NG

• Bei Modellen mit Montage durch Schrauben (z. B., FSA Megaexo, SRAM Force22/S900):
Torx-Schlüssel zur Montage der Kurbel am power2max NG

INBETRIEBNAHME

Ihr power2max Leistungsmesser verfügt über eine LED zur Funktionskontrolle. Diese ermög­licht Ihnen eine einfache Überprüfung der Funktionsfähigkeit und eine schnelle und unkom­plizierte Inbetriebnahme des Systems.

Schritt 1

Entfernen Sie den roten Isolierstreifen vom Batteriefach. Achten Sie auf den korrekten Sitz

der Batterieabdeckung.

Schritt 2

Die LED blinkt nun ca. 1 Minute grün.

Schritt 3

Verbinden Sie den Leistungsmesser mit Ihrem Radcomputer (Herstellervorgaben beachten).

Solange die grüne LED blinkt, sendet der power2max NG

und kann von einem ANT+ oder Bluetooth-fähigen Fahrradcomputer empfangen werden.
Lernen Sie nun den power2max NG

Leistungsmesser an ihren Fahrradcomputer mit
Leistungsmesserfunktion an. Beachten Sie dabei die Bedienungsanleitungen des jeweiligen
Herstellers. Das Anlernen an Ihren Fahrradcomputer ist nur bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme
notwendig. Mehrere Systeme an verschiedenen Rädern sollten nacheinander in Betrieb
genommen werden, um ungewollte Zuordnungen zwischen verschiedenen power2max
Leistungsmessern und Fahrradcomputern zu vermeiden.

Sie können das Anlernen Ihres ANT+ oder Bluetooth-fähigen Fahrradcomputers jederzeit

wieder holen. Hierzu müssen Sie ihren power2max NG
Kurbel aktivieren. Ihr power2max NG

Sie benötigen einen ANT+-fähigen Fahrradcomputer, der das Power-only-Profil (PWR)

unterstützt. Geeignete Fahrradcomputer sind beispielsweise:

- CYCLEOPS: Joule 2.0 und 3.0

- GARMIN: Edge 500/510/520/800/810/820/1000, Forerunner 310XT/910XT

- Wahoo Elemnt oder Bold

Außerdem bietet Ihnen Ihres power2max NG

Leistungsmesser die Möglichkeit, ein
Blue tooth-Low-Energy-fähiges Anzeigegerät (BLE) zu verwenden, welches das Cycling
Power Profil unterstützt.

Es werden die Daten Leistung und Trittfrequenz berechnet und übertragen. Optional

werden Drehmoment, Links-Rechts-Verteilung und gleichmäßiges Treten („Pedal Smooth­ness“) berechnet und übertragen (kostenpflichtige Upgrades).

MONTAGE

Schritt 1

Montieren Sie zuerst die Kettenblätter an den power2max NG

eco

Leistungsmesser. Achten
Sie dabei auf die korrekte Lage und festen Sitz der Kettenblätter entsprechend der Vorga­ben des jeweiligen Herstellers. Führen Sie das große Kettenblatt von oben über den
power2max NG

Schritt 2

Bringen Sie die Löcher für die Schraubverbindungen in Übereinstimmung.

Schritt 3

Nachdem Sie das kleine Kettenblatt von hinten an den power2max NG

Leistungsmesser
herangeführt haben, verschrauben Sie alles mit den dafür vorgesehenen Kettenblatt­schrauben.

WICHTIG:

Beachten Sie die vorgegebenen Anzugsdrehmomente des Herstellers.
Beachten Sie die Ausrichtung der Kettenblätter und der Kettenblattschrauben.
Bitte folgen Sie den Herstellerangaben.

Schritt 4

Montieren Sie danach die Kurbel am power2max NG

Leistungsmesser. Führen Sie die
Kkurbel von vorne durch die dafür vorgesehene Öffnung im Leistungsmesser. Achten Sie
auf die Ausrichtung und den korrekten Sitz der Kurbel am Leistungsmesser. Bei Modellen
mit Lockring-Verschluss (z. B. Cannondale Hollowgram, FSA BB386evo, Rotor 3D24, Rotor
3D30, Rotor 3D+ oder Specialized S-Works): Geben Sie einige Tropfen mittelfeste Schrau­bensicherung (z. B. Locktite 243) auf die Innenseite des Lockrings und ziehen Sie diesen
mit Hilfe des Werkzeugs fest.

WICHTIG:

Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass der Lockring korrekt auf dem Gewinde sitzt.

Spannen Sie das spezifische Werkzeug in einen Schraubstock ein. Dies garantiert Ihnen

eine sichere Lage des spezifischen Werkzeugs bei der weiteren Montage: Ziehen Sie nun
den Lockring mit dem vorgeschriebenen Drehmoment fest. Das Anzugsmoment finden Sie
ebenfalls im Downloadbereich auf www . pow er2ma x . com oder erfragen Sie es beim Her­steller der Kurbel.

Bei Modellen mit Montage durch Schrauben (z. B., FSA Megaexo, SRAM Force22/S900):

Geben Sie einen Tropfen mittelfeste Schraubensicherung auf die Montageschrauben. Wenn
diese von Werk bereits mit Schraubensicherung beschichtet sind, müssen Sie dies nicht
tun. Ziehen Sie die Montageschrauben mit dem vorgegebenen Anzugsmoment fest. Anzugs­momente finden Sie ebenfalls im Downloadbereich auf www . powe r2ma x . com .

Schritt 5

Montieren Sie die komplette Kurbelgarnitur am Fahrrad. Folgen Sie hierzu den Montage-

hinweisen des Kurbelherstellers. Diese müssen bei Bedarf beim Hersteller der Kurbel oder
im Fachhandel erfragt werden. Wir empfehlen nach der Montage die korrekte Funktion des
Umwerfers zu kontrollieren und bei Bedarf neu zu justieren.

Verwendung des Leistungsmessers

So einfach wie die Inbetriebnahme und die Montage, ist auch die Benutzung des
power2max NG

VOR FAHRTANTRITT

Der power2max NG
Ruhezustand. Durch Bewegung der Kurbel wird der power2max NG
automatisch aktiviert und der power2max NG
dung von Funksignalen. Dies wird durch Blinken der grünen LED signalisiert. Dabei signali­siert die LED anfangs den Ladezustand der Batterie und im Anschluss die Bereitschaft zur
Verbindung mit einem Bluetooth-Low-Energy-fähigen Gerät (Siehe auch unter „Technische
Spezifikation“, LED-Signalisierung, S. 12)

NULLPUNKTABGLEICH UND THERMISCHE KORREKTUR

Um eine genaue Leistungsmessung zu gewährleisten, wird der Nullpunkt (Messwert wenn
kein Drehmoment anliegt) von Ihrem power2max NG

eco

Leistungsmesser automatisch ermit­telt. Der Nullpunktabgleich kompensiert Einflüsse durch Temperaturschwankungen und
mechanisch bedingte Nullpunktverschiebungen. Ein wiederholt durchzuführendes Einstellen
des Nullpunkts am Fahrradcomputer ist möglich aber nicht notwendig! Dies wird bei Entlas­tung automatisch vom System durchgeführt. Entlastung bedeutet das Beenden des Tretvor­gangs während der Fahrt für mindestens 2 Sekunden. Ist eine wie oben beschriebene
Entlastung nicht möglich, zum Beispiel bei langer Bergauffahrt, so führt Ihr power2max NG

Leistungsmesser automatisch eine Temperaturkompensation durch. Somit gewährleistet Ihr
power2max Leistungsmesser zu jeder Zeit eine zuverlässige Leistungsmessung.

WICHTIG:
Bei Bahnmodellen ist der automatische Nullpunktabgleich deaktiviert. Hier sollten Sie regel mäßig
einen manuellen Nullpunktabgleich mittels Fahrradcomputer durchführen.

NUTZUNGSDAUER DER BATTERIE

Die Nutzungsdauer der Batterie beträgt circa 400 Stunden. Die Nutzungsdauer kann durch
Nutzung bei niedrigen Temperaturen und durch Transport Ihres Fahrrads, zum Beispiel im
Auto, verkürzt werden.

NACH DER FAHRT

Ihr power2max Leistungsmesser nimmt circa 2 Minuten nach Beendigung der Fahrt selb­ständig einen Ruhezustand ein. Dadurch wird der Stromverbrauch reduziert und die Batteri­elaufzeit verlängert.

WECHSELN DER BATTERIE

Öffnen Sie die Batterieabdeckung durch einfaches Abziehen (es ist kein Werkzeug erforder­lich). Entfernen Sie die leere Batterie. Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der neuen Batterie auf die
richtige Position von Plus- und Minus-Pol. Setzen Sie die Batterieabdeckung wieder auf und
achten Sie auf den korrekten Sitz.

AUSSCHALTEN UND EINSCHALTEN

Das Entnehmen und Einsetzen der Batterie ist gleichermaßen Ausschalten und Einschalten
Ihres power2max NG

.

HINWEIS:
Bei Transport des Fahrrades wird der power2max Leistungsmesser immer wieder aktiviert. Daher
wird empfohlen, bei längerem Transport die Batterie zu entnehmen. Bei einem Transport im
Flugzeug raten wir generell dazu.

NACH EINEM STURZ

Der power2max NG

eco

Leistungsmesser wurde mit der Anforderung an hohe Zuverlässigkeit
entwickelt. Sturzkräfte werden im Normalfall durch die Kurbel und das Innenlager komplett
aufgenommen. Eine Beschädigung des power2max Leistungsmessers ist somit durch einen
Sturz nahezu ausgeschlossen.

Im Interesse Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit und Gesundheit sollten Sie dennoch nach einem Sturz
folgende Überprüfungen vornehmen:
Könnten die Kurbeln beschädigt worden sein? Kurbeln können nach einem Unfall Haarrisse
aufweisen, die mit dem bloßen Auge nicht zu erkennen sind. Demzufolge kann zu einem
späteren Zeitpunk ein kompletter Kurbelbruch auftreten. Wir raten daher dazu, das Fahrrad
nach einem Sturz durch einen Fachmann auf seinen Tauglichkeit prüfen zu lassen und die
Kurbel gegebenenfalls zu ersetzen. Klappern im Bereich der Kurbelgarnitur weist auf eine
mögliche Beschädigung hin. Überprüfen Sie alle mechanischen Verbindungen.

Pflege und Wartung

Die Batterieabdeckung sollte von Zeit zu Zeit auf korrekten Sitz überprüft und bei Bedarf
ausgetauscht werden, damit das Batteriefach wasserdicht verschlossen bleibt.

Nach längeren Regenfahrten prüfen Sie bitte, ob Wasser in das Batteriefach eingedrungen
ist. Sollte dies der Fall sein, dann lassen Sie diesen Bereich im geöffneten Zustand trocknen.
Sie können dies mit einem saugfähigen Tuch unterstützen.

Verwenden Sie weder Verdünner noch Lösungsmittel, um den power2max Leistungsmesser
zu reinigen. Benutzen Sie klares Wasser oder eine Seifenlauge und einen weichen Schwamm
oder Lappen.

WICHTIG:
Reinigen Sie den Leistungsmesser nicht mit einem Hochdruckreinigungsgerät!

Service, Kalibrierung und Funktionskontrolle

Der power2max NG
raum nicht erneut kalibriert werden. Ungeachtet dessen haben Sie jedoch die Möglichkeit,
einen Kalibrier- und Funktionskontrollauftrag kostenpflichtig zu bestellen. In diesem Fall
unterziehen wir Ihren power2max Leistungsmesser einer äußerlichen Befundung, einer
erneuten Werkskalibrierung und Funktionskontrolle. Sie erhalten neben Ihrem
power2max NG

Leistungsmesser wird im Werk kalibriert und muss im Garantiezeit-

Leistungsmesser ein erneuertes Prüf- und Abnahmezeugnis.

UMFANG DER GEWÄHRLEISTUNG

Sofern in diesem Dokument nicht anders dargelegt, gewährleistet die Saxonar GmbH ab dem
Erstkaufdatum für zwei Jahre, dass das Produkt frei von Herstellungs- und Materialfehlern
ist. Ansprüche aus dieser Gewährleistung sind über die Saxonar GmbH geltend zu machen.
Der Kaufbeleg muss im Original vorgelegt werden. Sofern in diesem Dokument nicht anders
dargelegt, übernimmt die Saxonar GmbH keine anderen Garantien und Gewährleistungen und
trifft keine Zusicherungen jeglicher Art (ausdrücklich oder konkludent) und schließt jegliche

IMPORTANT:
It is necessary to observe indicated torque values during installation. You can also find these
values in the download area of power2max.com. Screw and bolt connections that are torqued too
heavily or weakly could damage the power meter and impair the function.
In the case of bicycle frames with a BB86 or BB386EVO bottom bracket standard, the compatibili­ty between the power meter and frame must be tested before installation.

OPERATION

enables you to easily test functionality and operate the system in a quick and uncomplicated
way.

Step 1

Remove the isolation strap by pulling it out of the battery compartment. Check if the

battery cap is in the correct position.

Step 2

Now, the LED indicator light flashes green for approximately one minute.

Step 3

Connect the power meter to your head unit (observe manufacturer’s instructions). As long

low-energy compatible display instrument (BLE) that supports the Cycling Power Profile.

The data for power and cadence are calculated and transmitted. By optional payable

upgrade: torque, left-right distribution and pedal smoothness are calculated and transmit­ted additionally.

INSTALLATION

Step 1

First install the chainrings on the power2max NG

care that they are aligned correctly and solidly attached in accordance with the respecti­ve manufacturer’s specifications. Guide the large chainring from above onto the power­2max NG

power meter. Guide the right cran­karm from the front through the opening in the power meter. Pay attention to the align­ment and the correct fitting of the crankset to the power meter. For models with lockrings
like FSA BB386EVO: place a few drops of medium-strength threadlock (e.g. Loctite 243)
on the inner side of the lockring and tighten it with the help of the lockring tool.

IMPORTANT:

Please pay attention that the lockring is correctly seated on the threads.

Lock the lockring tool into a vice. This guarantees that the lockring tool is secure and

stable for further installation: tighten the lockring to the prescribed torque values. You
can also find these values in the download area on ww w . power2ma x . com or ask the
crankset manufacturer.

steps in the installation instructions provided by the crankset manufacturer. If necessary,
these can be requested from the crankset manufacturer or from a retail store. We recom­mend checking the correct function of the front derailleur and, if needed, re-adjusting it.

When your bicycle isn’t being used, the power2max NG power meter is in standby. Once the
crank is moved, the power2max NG

zero-point adjustment compensates for influences caused by temperature variations and
mechanical zero-point shifts. It is possible to repeatedly set the zero point at the head unit,
but it isn’t necessary! This is performed by the system automatically when it is not under
power. “Not being under power” means a stop in pedaling for at least two seconds during a
ride. If a de-powering as described above is not possible, for example during a long moun­tain climb, then your power2max NG

To change the battery, remove the battery cap (no tool needed). Pull out the empty battery
and insert a new battery. Pay attention to the correct position of the positive pole and
negative pole. Close the battery cap and check if it is in the correct position.

could indicate potential damage. Examine all mechanical connections.

Maintenance and care

The battery cap should be checked occasionally to see whether it is seated correctly and, if
necessary, it should be replaced so that it maintains its waterproof seal.

After longer rides in the rain, please examine if water has penetrated the battery compart­ment. Should this be the case, allow this area to dry out while having removed the battery
and with the battery cap off. You can assist in this process by using an absorbent cloth.

Do not use thinners or solvents to clean your power2max NG
or soapy water and a soft sponge or rag.

INSTALACIÓN

Paso 1

Primero instale los platos en el medidor de potencia power2max NG

tenga cuidado de que los platos estén alineados correctamente y firmemente unidos de
acuerdo con las especificaciones del fabricante respectivo.

INSTALLATION

Questa garanzia non si applica per danni al prodotto in seguito a incidenti o ad un uso non
corretto. Non si applica in caso di danni causati dalla non osservanza delle specifiche del
produttore o per altre circostanze in cui il prodotto è stato sottoposto a carichi o forze che
il prodotto non sostiene.

Questa garanzia non si applica se il prodotto è stato modificato; per modifica si intende
qualsiasi tentativo di apertura o riparazione di componenti elettronici e associati, tra cui
motori, controller, batterie, cavi, interruttori e unità di ricarica.

I diritti di garanzia sono anche nulli se il numero o il codice seriale di fabbricazione è stato

La garanzia per le batterie (anche ricaricabili) e per il misuratore di potenza non si applica
per i danni causati da sbalzi di tensione, dall’uso di caribatteria impropri,dalla mancanza di
manutenzione e per qualsiasi uteriore uso improprio.

Sono esclusi da questa garanzia i danni ai misuratori di potenza power2max derivanti
dall’uso di parti non compatibili, inappropriate o non autorizzate da parte della Saxonar
GmbH.

La garanzia non copre i danni causati da un uso commerciale (locazione).
