HC2003 HANDSFREE TELEPHONE
The HC2003 Hands Free Telephone can be controlled by all of the Possum Infrared Enviromental Controllers,and also any infrared unit that can learn Possum Infrared Telephone codes. For operation of the phone from the individual controllers please refer to their respective user
guides.

PRIVATE CALLS
An extra function now available is private radio headset conversations this is achived by plugging an off the shelf radio headset system into handset port. It is important to understand that the headset runs on batteries and should be fully charged over night
Note in order to make a private phone call the user must first dial the desired number using the hands free mode. Once the call is answered at the other end the user must select “private” this will disconnect the hands free speaker and connect the headset only. If the user is answering a call only they can go straight to “private” to pick up the call on the headset. If the user wants to pick up a call in hands free mode they must select ans phone.
All other user functions are as described in the InTouch2000 user guide that is supplied with each phone.

The HC2003 Hands Free Telephone is classified as a Class 1 (low risk) medical device, intended for use by physically disabled persons to control appliances or equipment in a domestic environment. The unit may also be used within nursing homes and hospitals, providing adequate care is taken to ensure the safety of each particular installation.

This equipment does generate, use and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed correctly, may cause interference with radio and television receivers or other sensitive equipment. This equipment may be susceptible to radio frequency energy or mains conducted interference generated by other nearby equipment. Interference is unlikely to be a problem in a typical domestic environment, but if you have any queries please contact Possum Controls Limited for advice.

There are no user-serviceable parts within the HC2003. Refer all faults to Possum Controls Limited or their authorised service agents.
Note that under the Medical Devices Directive, only service personnel trained and approved by Possum Controls Limited are permitted to install, maintain and repair this product.
WARNING! Hazardous voltages and exposed live
parts exist within the HC2003 unit when in use. Never attempt to open the unit or remove the case cover.
PRODUCT CARE
Disconnect the mains power supply & telephone line to the HC2003 unit before attempting to clean the product. The Possum HC2003 should be cleaned only with a soft, lint­free cloth slightly moistened with clean water. Do not use abrasive or solvent-based cleaning products. Do not allow moisture to enter the HC2003 unit. Ensure that the product is dry before re-connecting to the mains power supply & telephone line. The Possum HC2003 is intended for indoor use only and is not drip proof, splash proof or waterproof. The Possum HC2003 is not anaesthetic proof and cannot be sterilised.

1. That there is a clear line of sight from the controller to the HC2003 IR window.
2. That the HC2003 IR window is not in direct sunlight.
3. That HC2003 is connected to UK phone socket
