10. When the new pairing setup is complete, the transmitter and receiver should have the GREEN LED blinking every 4 seconds when the patient is actually being monitored. The RED LED will blink every 4 seconds when a patient exits the sensor or when the sensor is in failsafe mode or if on hold/suspend.
NOTE: Transmitters and receivers that have not yet been paired (brand new and not used or previously used and unpaired) will have the RED LED blink every one second. NOTE: If the YELLOW LED blinks slowly (every 2 seconds) this indicates that the device is attempting to pair to another device.
The alarm and sensor must remain within a distance of 20 feet to properly pair. Once paired, if either device is moved outside the 20-foot range, they will lose connection.
Testing:
11. Activate the Posey Sensor by applying pressure on the pad.
12. Ensure GREEN LED blinks on both Transmitter and Receiver.
13. Remove pressure from the Posey Sensor pad.

Before You Begin:
The Posey Transmitter and Posey Receiver are designed to convert a Posey Sitter Elite® or Posey KeepSafe® Deluxe® into a single channel wireless alarm. The Posey Receiver connects to a centrally located Posey Alarm via the Sensor Port and mounts below on the 8208 Posey Wall Bracket. The Posey Transmitter is compatible with all Posey Sensors. The Posey Transmitter and Posey Receiver must be paired for proper operation. “Pairing” means that a connection is established between the Transmitter and Receiver. Eliminating the cord between the alarm and sensor is designed to promote a safer, more convenient environment for patients and care staff.
NOTE: Failure to use care may damage the wireless receiver or transmitter and render the unit non-operational.
NOTE: Before use, make sure to read the instructions for use for the appropriate alarm (Posey Sitter Elite or Posey KeepSafe Deluxe alarm). A copy of the alarm instructions is included with the alarm and can also be downloaded at www.posey.com.
