1 Beschreibung
Einkabel-Multischalter mit fünf bzw.
neun Eingängen und acht Teilnehmerausgängen. Je Teilnehmerausgang stehen vier Userbänder zur
Verfügung. Der Multischalter ist
Wideband-fähig. Die terrestrische
Einspeisung ist passiv ausgeführt
und damit auch rückwegtauglich.
Jeder Ausgang kann wahlweise auf
Universal-Modus zum Betrieb von
handelsüblichen digitalen SATReceivern (DVB-S/S2) umgeschaltet
werden. Das Gerät kann sowohl als
Stand-alone- als auch als Kaskadenbaustein genutzt werden.
Der Einkabel-Multischalter wird über
die angeschlossenen Receiver mit
Spannung versorgt. Die Spannungsversorgung der LNBs erfolgt über die
SAT-ZF-Leitungen. Quattro-LNBs
können in der Regel von den angeschlossenen Receivern versorgt werden. Wenn Wideband-LNBs verwendet werden, dann erfolgt deren Versorgung z.B. über einen Kopfverstärker oder über ein ext. Netzteil (der
Multischalter wird mit Steckernetzteil
ausgeliefert).
Wenn ein Kaskaden-Multischalter am
Ende eines Kaskadensystems verwendet wird, so muss dieser mit
DC-geblockten Endwiderständen
(FAW-75DC) abgeschlossen werden!
QUAD-LNBs mit integriertem Schalter können nicht verwendet werden.

1 Description
Single-cable multiswitch with five or
nine inputs and eight subscriber outputs. Four user bands are available
for each subscriber output.
The multiswitch is wideband capable.
The terrestrial feed is passive and
therefore also return path-compatible.
Each output can be switched to Universal mode for operation of standard
digital SAT receivers (DVB-S/S2).
The device can be used as a standalone or cascade module.
The single-cable multiswitch is supplied with power via the connected
receivers. The LNBs are powered via
the SAT IF lines.
Quattro LNBs can usually be supplied by the connected receivers.
If wideband LNBs are used, they are
supplied, for example, via a head
amplifier or an external power supply
unit (the multiswitch is delivered with
plug-in power supply).
If a cascade multiswitch is used at
the end of a cascade system, it must
be terminated with DC-blocked terminating resistors (FAW-75DC)!
QUAD LNBs with integrated switch

Teilnehmer/Receiver direkt mit SCRSignalen versorgt werden. Angeschlossene Receiver müssen für Einkabel-Betrieb nach EN 50494 bzw.
EN 50607 ausgelegt sein.
Schalterstellung „Universal“:
Über jeden Ausgang kann ein handelsüblicher digitaler SAT-Receiver
(DVB-S/S2) betrieben werden.
Mischbetrieb:
Jeder einzelne Ausgang kann wahlweise in einem der beiden oben beschriebenen Ausgangs-Modi betrieben werden.

each output.
Mixed operation:
Each individual output can be operated optionally in one of the two output modes described above.

Hinweise zum Betrieb mit Wideband-LNBs:
Die Einkabel-Multischalter können mit Wideband-LNBs mit einer Oszilla-
torfrequenz von 10,4 GHz betrieben werden.
Der Universal-Modus kann nicht mit Wideband-LNBs verwendet werden!

5 Empfehlungen für die optimierte Funktionsweise
Es ist besonders darauf zu achten, dass jede am Ausgang des Multischalters
zur Verfügung stehende Frequenz nur einmal belegt wird, da sich die Receiver sonst gegenseitig stören. Die Zuordnung der Frequenzen geschieht im
Einstellmenü des Receivers. Je nach Typ kann dies manuell oder automatisch erfolgen.
Doppeltuner benötigen die Zuweisung von zwei SCR-Frequenzen! Das Signal darf nicht vom >Ausgang Tuner 1< auf >Eingang Tuner 2< durchgeschleift, sondern muss z.B. mit einem 2-fach Verteiler (Polytron-Typ: FVS2P)
aufgesplittet und an beide Tuner-Eingänge direkt angeschlossen werden.
Es wird empfohlen, die Steckdosen mit den kürzeren Anschlusslängen den
höheren Frequenzen zuzuordnen.
Es sollten bevorzugt die niedrigen SCR-Frequenzen benutzt werden.
Manche Receiver beginnen die SCR-Adresszählung bei „0“. In diesem Fall
muss bei solchen Geräten entsprechend zurückgezählt werden.
Beispiel: entweder „0 bis 3“ oder „1 bis 4“.
Verwenden Sie für die Verbindungen zumindest doppelt geschirmte Kabel
guter Qualität mit einem Schirmungsmaß von min. 90 dB.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die verwendeten Antennendosen mit der SCRTechnologie kompatibel sind und eine bidirektionale Signal-Übertragung ermöglichen.
Es wird mindestens ein DC-entkoppelter Abschlusswiderstand benötigt,
wenn der SCA x08-4 in einer Baumstruktur mit Durchgangsdosen eingesetzt
wird. Als letzte Antennendose muss in einem solchen Verteilsystem ebenfalls eine Durchgangsdose montiert werden. Diese wird mit Hilfe eines DCentkoppelten Abschlusswiderstandes (Polytron-Typ: AW75DC) abgeschlossen.
Bitte überprüfen Sie die Anlage vor Inbetriebnahme auf eventuelle Kurzschlüsse der Koaxial-Kabel. Der Montageuntergrund sollte:
eben und schwer entflammbar
staubfrei
gegen Feuchtigkeit geschützt
nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt
und nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe von Wärmequellen sein.
Die Lüftungsschlitze des Netzteils dürfen nicht verdeckt sein. Es ist darauf zu
achten, dass die Eingangspegel der SAT-Ebenen möglichst gleich hoch sind.
Alle Installationen und Anbringen von Montageteilen sollten nur durchgeführt
werden, wenn die Anlage vom Stromnetz getrennt ist! Kurzschlüsse vermeiden.
Die Hinweise zum Betrieb des Gerätes sind zu beachten.

5 Recommendations for optimized operation
It is particularly important to ensure that each frequency available at the output of the multiswitch is occupied only once; otherwise the receivers will interfere with each other. The assignment of the frequencies is done in the setting menu of the receiver. Depending on the type, this can be done manually
or automatically.
Twin tuner needs the assignment of two user band frequencies! The signal
must not be looped through from >Output Tuner 1< to >Input Tuner 2< but
should be splitted by a 2-way splitter e.g. (Polytron-Type: FVS2P) and connected to both tuner inputs directly.
It is recommended that the wall sockets with the shorter length connections
are assigned to the higher frequencies.
The low SCR frequencies should preferably be used.
On some receivers the user band counting begins at „0“. In the case of such
specific devices you have to counting down accordingly.
Example: either „0 up to 3“ or „1 up to 4“.
Use at least double shielded antenna cable with high quality and a screening
capability not less than 90 dB.
Please ensure that the used antenna sockets are compatible with the latest
SCR technology and enable a bidirectional signal transfer.
At least one DC decoupled terminating resistor is needed if the SCA x08-4 is
mounted inside a tree structure with pass-through sockets. As last socket in
such a distribution system a pass-through socket has to be mounted, this
one is completed by means of a terminating resistor. This resistor has to be
DC decoupled (Polytron-Type: AW75DC).
Before commissioning, please check the system for possible short circuits of
the coaxial cables. The mounting ground should be:
even and flame proof
dust-free
protected against humidity
not under direct impact of sunlight
not adjacent to heating sources
The ventilation slots of the associated power supply unit may not be covered.
Pay attention to the input levels of the SAT-polarizations having the equivalent level. All installation and fixing of components should only be executed
when the units are disconnected from the mains supply. Avoid short-circuits!
The instructions for operating the device must be observed.
