1. General

These release notes apply to version 1.6R of the 3Com SoundStation IP application.

2. Upgrade

Normal upgrade from all versions.

3. Caveats

3.1 Open

• 3862: PRB02381 - VLAN Control is not working for Polycom

• 3863: PRB02382 - Vlan Download functionality is req'd for Polycom

• 3864: PRB02343 - IP Polycom Drops Calls intermittently

• 3865: PRB01407 - 3rd party Polycom SSIP is being instructed to use

scrambled audio

• 3866: PRB01419 - Polycom SSIP doesn't correctly rejoin a confr. after reboot

3.2 Closed

The following issues have been resolved with this release:

• 7208: Cannot set subnet mask statically or from NBX

• 9426: SSIP got corrupted during upgrade attempt

• 9427: Writing to flash failed
The phone may fail to upgrade. The phone will no longer be functional.
Workaround: None

• 9336: SoundStation 3Com froze while it was waiting for the NCP to respond
Workaround: Power cycle the phone

• 9403: Layer 2 SSIP loses audio on conference call
Workaround: Power cycle the phone
