Polycom Bluetooth Module
Integration Note from Corporate compliance to
Engineering.
The Polycom Bluetooth module is designed to be used in Proprietary Polycom set top videoconferencing products.
Usage notes
All changes to the module must be made through the Polycom electronic change order process.
All Polycom software written to control this device must use the Radio Power Table within the module that controls the maximum output power to +4.16 +/- 2 dBm.
When using this module in a Polycom design. The placement of the Antenna and module must meet the following RF exposure requirements. A separation distance of at least 20 cm must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons. This Transmitter must not be collocated or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
The following labelling & user guide information must be used by anyone using this module. The ECO process will check that these guidelines have been followed.

The following information must be placed on the Regulatory label of the unit that the module is installed.

Item 1 Pt 15 Rules

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Item 2 Class B Digital Device or Peripheral

NOTE: The Radio module within this equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which
the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Note to Integrators:
The user guide should NOT provide any instructions on how to remove or install the module.
