• This appliance has been designed only for domestic use.

• This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old, by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or by inexperienced persons provided they are instructed in advance on its safe use and only if informed of the dangers inherent to the product.

• Children must not play with the appliance.

• The cleaning and maintenance of the appliance and the battery charger may not be done by children without the supervision of an adult.

• Keep all the parts of the packaging out of the reach of children, they are not a toy. Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children: danger of suffocation.

• In case the appliance and the battery charger accidentally fall and/or there are visible signs of damage do not use the appliance but have it checked by an authorized Service Centre as the internal safety features may have been affected.

• In case of breakdown or malfunction switch off the appliance and never attempt to disassemble it, but refer to an authorized Polti Service Centre.

• To avoid prejudicing the safety of the appliance when repairing or replacing accessories, use only original spare parts.

SAFETY WARNINGS:

Risk of electric shock and/or short circuit:

- The battery charger is used to charge the batteries located inside the appliance. Do not use the appliance with the battery charger connected.

- The wiring system to which the battery charger is connected must always comply with the laws in force.

- Before connecting the battery charger make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the plate data.

- If the battery charger is left unused, always disconnect it from the mains.

- Before performing any maintenance operation, always turn the equipment off.

- Do not pull the battery charger power cable out of the socket, but grasp the plug itself to avoid damage to the socket.

- Do not allow the power cable of the battery charger to be twisted, crushed, stretched, or come into contact with sharp or hot surfaces.

- Do not use the battery charger if the power cable or other important parts of the appliance are damaged. Instead, contact an authorised service centre.

- If the battery charger with its relative cable is visibly damaged, replace it immediately with a Polti original spare part. Never under any circumstance try to repair it.

- Do not use electric extension leads that are not authorized by the manufacturer, as they may cause damage or fire.

- Never touch the battery charger with wet hands or feet in particular when the cable is plugged into the mains.

- Do not use the battery charger when barefoot.

- Do not use the battery charger near washbasins, bathtubs, showers or containers full of water.

- Never immerse the appliance, the cable or the plugs in water or another liquid.

- Never leave the appliance exposed to the weather.

- Do not place the appliance near live elements, electric stoves or any other source of heat.

- Do not expose the appliance to temperatures under 0°C or over 40°C

- Press the buttons only with a finger, without excessive force and avoid using a pointed object such as a pen.

- Do not obstruct or insert objects into the ventilation slots.

- Do not point and spray the jet into the eyes.

- Do not spray on devices that have electric components such as for examples inside ovens.

- Before using the product and the cloth on delicate surfaces do a test on a hidden point.

CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT

This appliance is intended for home use for cleaning damp, smooth surfaces such as windows, mirrors or tiles, in accordance with the instructions provided in this manual. Please read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

Polti declines liability for any damage or accident derived from any use of this appliance which does not comply with the instructions contained in this booklet.

ATTENTION

Directive 2002/96/EC (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment - WEEE): information for users This product complies with EU Directive 2002/96/EC.

The crossed-out wastebasket symbol on the appliance means that at

the end of its useful lifespan, the product must be disposed of separately from ordinary household wastes.

The user is responsible for delivering the appliance to an appropriate collection facility at the end of its useful lifespan. Appropriate separate collection to permit recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal helps prevent negative impact on the environment and human health and promotes recycling of the materials making up the product. For more information on available collection facilities, contact your local waste collection service or the shop where you bought this appliance.

CHARGING APPLIANCE

The appliance is not supplied with the battery charged, therefore please charge the product before use. To charge the appliance, proceed as follows: ♦ Connect the power supply plug (J) to the

special socket (F) of the appliance.

♦ Insert the power supply plug (J) to a suita-

ble power socket.

♦ The charging / operating LED (D) will start

flashing red. When the LED (D) turns a steady green (after about 2 1/2 hours), the appliance is charged and ready for use.

Note:

- When the battery is discharged, the ap-

pliance will stop working and the LED (D) will be off.

- A full battery recharge makes it possible to clean up to 80 m2 of surface.

VAPORISER (L) (*)

ASSEMBLY

♦ Unscrew the sprayer (L1) from the bottle

(L2).

♦ Insert the washing support (N) into the

sprayer (L1) and lock it with the fastening ring (M) (Fig. 7 - 8 - 9).

♦ Insert the cloth (K) and lock it with the Vel-

cro (Fig. 10).

FILLING

♦ Fill the bottle (L2) with water and possibly

non-foaming glass detergent that is commonly available on the market.

♦ Tighten the sprayer (L1) including the wa-

shing support with the cloth, to the bottle.

UNPACKING

♦ Remove the appliance from the packaging,

checking that the product is whole and that all the parts are there.

USE

♦ Spray the surface to be cleaned and

cleanse with the cloth.

♦ Run the appliance over the area as shown

in the Chapter “Use”.

USE

♦ Assemble the 28 cm window cleaning

frame. (B) or the small 17 cm window cleaning frame (O)*, based on the size of the surface to be cleaned, to the base until it is

hooked (Fig. 2). ♦ Clean the window. ♦ Turn on the appliance by moving the switch

forward (E) (Fig. 3). The operating/recharge

(D) LED will turn on. ♦ Place the window cleaning frame on the up-

per part of the window and using a slight

pressure move downward (Fig. 4). ♦ Once the cleaning operation is finished,

turn off the appliance by moving the switch

backward (E).

EMPTYING THE DIRT COLLECTION

TANK

When the Max level of dirty water is reached in the tank (I), it must be emptied as follows: ♦ Turn the appliance off. ♦ Pull the tank stopper (H) (Fig. 5). ♦ Tilt the tank so that the dirty water can

come out (Fig. 6). ♦ Replace the tank stopper. ♦ Resume cleaning operations.

CARE OF YOUR APPLIANCE

• Before performing any maintenance operation, make sure that the appliance is off and/or disconnected from the mains.

• To clean the body of the appliance, simply use a moist cloth. Do not use solvents or detergents which may harm the body material.

• The cloths provided can be washed by following the instructions included on the label.

CLEANING OF THE WINDOW CLEANING

FRAME (B) - (O)*

♦ Release the window cleaning frame and re-

move it from the base (Fig. 11).

♦ Rinse the frame (B) - (O)* under running

water and let it dry.

(*) Only for Model AG130.

CLEANING THE TANK UNIT (J)

♦ Remove the tank unit (I) (Fig.12), empty it

(see paragraph “Empty water from tank”). Unscrew the tank stopper w/filter (I2) and squeeze it (Fig. 13), after which rinse all the components under running water and let them dry.

WARNING: If the maximum filling level is exceeded, small quantities of water can leak out of the ventilation slots. Always empty the tank before the maximum filling level is reached.

WARRANTY

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

For repairs, the appliance must be accompanied by proof of purchase.

Polti products are guaranteed to the original purchaser for two years from the date of purchase as shown on a valid receipt issued by the seller. This guarantee does not affect the consumer’s rights under European Directive 99/44/CE regarding certain aspects of the sale and guarantee of consumer goods; consumers should address claims under these provisions to the retailer where they purchased the goods. This guarantee is effective in countries where European Directive 99/44/CE has been implemented. Local guarantee legislation applies in all other countries.

WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS

During the guarantee period, Polti will repair products with defects in workmanship or materials at no charge to the customer for either labour or materials. In case of irreparable defects, Polti S.p.A. may replace the product free of charge. A minor patent defect for which it was not possible, or is excessively expensive, to repair or replace does not give the right to terminate the contract.

To have work performed under this guarantee, consumers must contact an Authorised Polti Technical Assistance Centre. The consumer must present a valid receipt issued by the seller at the time of purchase as evidence of the date of purchase; without proof of purchase and the relative date, the work will be charged. Therefore, please store your receipt carefully for the entire warranty period.

WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

The warranty is subject to limitations and does not cover defects due to improper use or use other than that indicated in the instruction booklet which forms an integral part of the sales contract of the product. The warranty does not cover defects resulting from force majeure (fires, short circuits) or caused by third parties (tampering). The warranty does not cover damages caused by the use of non-original Polti parts, repairs or alterations performed by staff or service centres not authorised by Polti.

The guarantee does not cover parts that are damaged by wear or subject to normal wear (consumables such as filters, brushes, etc.). The guarantee doesn’t cover any possible damage caused by limescale. Polti will accept no responsibility for any injury to people or animals or damage to objects directly or indirectly resulting from failure to follow the instructions provided in the instruction booklet, in particular the warnings and product maintenance instructions. The warranty does not cover the assembly of accessories that have been modified or are not adapted to the appliance.
