Intended use
The product is intended for decorative use outdoors (IP44). It is
suitable, for example, for attaching to a tree or bush.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/
or modify this product. If you use the product for purposes other
than those described above, the product may be damaged. In
addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting,
fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep
them. Make this product available to third parties only together
with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially
observe the safety information. If you do not follow the
safety instructions and information on proper handling
in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
•The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and
pets.
•Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These
may become dangerous playing material for children.
•Do not electrically attach this light chain to another light chain.
•Always check the product for damages before use. Should you
discover any damage, cease use of the product.
•Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight,
strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours
and solvents.
•Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
•If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it
out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe
operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient
conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
•Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even
from a low height can damage the product.
•The lights become hot during operation. Keep the product away
from highly combustible materials while operating.
•When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not
pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
•Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become
entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.
•This product is designed to be used outdoors only.
•Attention, LED light:
– Do not look directly into the LED light!
– Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
b) Rechargeable battery
•The rechargeable battery is built into the product and is
not replaceable. Dispose of the product if it is damaged or
defective.
•Leaking or damaged rechargeable batteries might cause
acid burns when in contact with skin. Therefore use suitable
protective gloves to handle corrupted rechargeable batteries.
•Rechargeable batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited
or thrown into fire. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
There is a risk of explosion!
c) Miscellaneous
•Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed
exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.
•If you have questions which remain unanswered by these
operating instructions, contact our technical support service or
other technical personnel.

Operation
Do not set up or operate the product under water.
Make sure that the cables hang loosely and are not
stretched too tightly. Failure to heed this warning may
cause the cables to tear.
Do not operate the product if it is still in its packaging.
Lay the product out entirely before connecting it to the
power supply.
Do not hang any objects from the product and do not
cover the product.
The LEDs are neither dimmable nor replaceable.
1. Insert the ground spike into the solar panel bracket. Place
the solar panel bracket with the ground spike onto the solar
panel mount. Pay attention to the arrows on the solar panel
when mounting/dismantling.
2. Connect the plug on the light chain to the socket on the solar
panel cable. It is only possible to connect the plug in one
orientation.
3. Secure the connection by turning the screw cap on the plug
onto the socket thread.
4. Choose a suitable mounting location with a soft surface.
Rocky surfaces damage the ground spike. Carefully push the
solar panel with the ground spike into the surface to around
1/3 of the length of the spike/holder or deeper in order to
ensure a sucient hold.
Place the solar panel in a location with sucient light so that
the solar cells can charge the battery throughout the day. The
solar cells should not be covered or placed in the shade, e.g.
in the shade of trees or buildings.
5. Place the light chain on the branches of a tree or bush. If
necessary, use plastic cable ties for additional support.
6. Before using for the first time, the product requires
approximately 8 hours of sunlight to charge the battery.
7. To turn on the product, press the on/o button on the
bottom of the solar panel.
8. Press the MODE FLASH button on the bottom of the solar
panel to switch between constant light and flashing light.
9. Turn the product o after use with the on/o button.
The battery is always charged when the sun shines on the
solar cells, regardless of whether the product is on or o.
The rechargeable battery of the solar panel is not replaceable.
If the light chain does not turn on when the battery has been
charged, dispose of the product properly.
Maintenance and cleaning
•The product is maintenance-free apart from occasional
cleaning.
•Switch the product o before cleaning and let the LEDs cool
down suciently.
•To clean, use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt,
slightly dampen the cloth with water. Allow the product to dry
completely before continued use.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not
be disposed of in the household waste. At the end of its
service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute
to the protection of the environment.
