Intended use
This product is intended for decoration purposes. It is great for adding light to a party, but can also be used outside on a balcony or terrace. The 100 LEDs in warm-white or cold-white help to create a warm atmosphere.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material for children.
• Always check the product for damages before use. Should you discover any damage, cease use of the product. If you discover damages while the product is in use (i.e. damaged cable or plug), do not touch the product, risk of fatal injury due to electric shock! First disconnect the mains outlet to which the product is connected from the power supply (flip o the fuse and/or automatic circuit breaker and then turn o the residual current-operated circuit breaker to disconnect the power outlet at all phases). Now unplug from the power outlet. Discontinue use of the product immediately, dispose of it in an environmentally friendly fashion.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient
conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
• Do not electrically attach this light chain to another light chain.
• The LEDs get hot during use. Keep the product away from easily flammable materials when in use.
• The product generates heat during use. Do not cover the product during use.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• The transformer may be supplied with power only via a properly installed power outlet connected to the public supply mains. Before plugging in the transformer, verify that the product’s nominal voltage complies with the voltage of your power supply company.
• Never plug in or unplug with wet hands.
• Do not unplug the transformer by tugging on the cord, grasp and pull the power plug using the provided gripping surface.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.
• Unplug the product in case of a thunder storm for safety reasons.
• The product is intended for use in outdoor areas.
• Attention, LED light:
– Do not look directly into the LED light!
– Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.

Operation
Do not install or operate the product under water. Make sure the cable hangs loosely and is not overly
tensioned. Failure to heed this warning may cause the cable to tear.
Do not connect the product to the power supply while it is still in the packaging. Lay the product out entirely before connecting it to the power supply.
Do not hang any objects from the product and do not cover the product.
Disconnect the product from the mains power outlet if any of the LEDs are not working properly.
The LEDs are neither dimmable nor replaceable.
1. Lay the product out entirely and arrange the cables so that they lie freely and are not tangled.
2. Attach the product to a suitable mounting site (e.g. in trees). Where necessary use plastic cable ties to secure the product.
3. Connect the plug of the power cable to the socket on the transformer. It is only possible to connect in one way. Secure the connection by turning the plug’s screw cap onto the transformer’s thread.
4. Connect the transformer to a power outlet.
5. Press the On/O button (2) on the transformer to turn the product on.
6. Repeatedly press the Mode button (2) on the transformer to select one of the 9 lighting eects.
7. The product comes with a timer function. To activate the timer, press and hold the Timer button (2) for 5 seconds, the LED indicator light (1) turns red. To deactivate the timer, press and hold the Timer button (2) for 3 seconds, the LED indicator light (1) turns o.
With the timer activated, the light turns on for approximately 6 hours, and then turns back on automatically after 18 hours.
Example: You switch on the light at 3:00 pm and set the timer to the Timer 6H ON + 18H OFF position. The light will turn on from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and then switch o automatically. It will turn back on again at 3:00 pm on the following day. This cycle is repeated provided that the product is switched on and the timer is activated.
8. Press and hold the On/O button (2) on the transformer for 3 seconds to turn the product o.
9. Switch o the product and disconnect the transformer from the power outlet for extended periods of disuse.
Remote control
Pull the safety strip from the battery compartment (8) of the remote control before first time use.
• Ensure that there are no objects between the remote control
and the IR receiver located on the transformer.
• If the lights do not turn on at the same time, move closer to the
transformer and ensure that the remote control is pointing in the right direction.
• The operating range of the remote control depends on the ambient conditions and the battery capacity.
• Replacing the battery is required when the operating range of the remote control drops significantly or if the lights cannot be operated when pressing any button.
• Remove the battery holder from the battery compartment (8) as shown on the back of the remote control, and then remove the old battery.
• Insert a coin cell battery of type CR2025 into the battery holder, making sure the positive terminal (“+” marking on the battery) faces up.
• Slide the battery holder back into the battery compartment (8) until it clicks into place.

Care and cleaning
• The product is maintenance-free apart from occasional cleaning.
• Disconnect the transformer from the power supply before cleaning and allow the LEDs to cool down suciently.
• To clean, use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water.
• Allow the product to dry completely before continued use.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
