Operating instructions
Intended use
These fairy lights are designed for indoor and outdoor use (IP44).
There are 8 dierent light eects that can be selected manually.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or
modify this product. Using the product for purposes other than
those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, fire or
electric shock. Read the instructions carefully and store them
in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions and safety information
carefully. If you do not follow the safety instructions
and information on proper handling in this manual, we
will assume no liability for any resulting personal injury
or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children
and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly, as it
may become dangerous playing material for children.
• This product must not be connected to any other light chains or
decorative lights.
• Check the product for damage before each use. If there are
any signs of damage (e.g. damaged transformer), discontinue
use immediately. Do not touch the product, as this may
cause a fatal electric shock! Switch o the mains voltage to
the socket to which the product is connected (switch o at
the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse,
and then switch o at the corresponding RCD protective
switch). You can then unplug the transformer from the mains
socket. Discontinue use and dispose of the product in an
environmentally friendly manner.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop
using it and prevent unauthorized use. Safe operation can no
longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient
conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even
from a low height may damage the product.
• The fairy lights become warm during use. Keep the product
away from flammable materials.
• The mains socket must be located near to the product and be
easily accessible.
• Always power the fairy lights using the mains transformer that
came with the product.
• The transformer must be connected to a standard mains
socket connected to the public grid. Before plugging in
the transformer, check whether the voltage stated on the
transformer is the same as your mains voltage.
• Never plug or unplug the transformer from the mains if your
hands are wet.
• Never unplug the transformer by pulling on the cable. Always
use the grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are not
pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become
entangled in them, as this may cause an injury.
• For safety reasons, unplug the transformer from the mains
socket during thunderstorms.
• This product is designed for indoor and outdoor use. The
product is splashproof, but it must not be used in or under
wa te r.
• Warning, LED light: Do not look directly at the LED light! Do not
look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought
from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation generated
may destroy the product, and the transformer may cause a fatal
electric shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature
before connecting it and putting it to use. This may take several
hours.
• The flexible cable cannot be replaced or repaired. If the cable
gets damaged, the entire product must be replaced.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect
the product.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be done by a
technician or an authorized repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these
operating instructions, contact our technical support service or
other technical personnel.
Product overview
Operation
The product must not be used or installed in or under
wa te r.
Make sure that the cables hang loose and are not too
tight, otherwise they may break.
Always remove the product from its packaging before
connecting it to the mains. The fairy lights must be
unwound and spread out before each use.
Do not hang objects on the product or cover the
product.
The LEDs are not dimmable and cannot be replaced.
1. Carefully unwind the fairy lights and ensure that they are not
tangled.
2. Use the ring to attach the fairy lights to the desired surface
(e.g. a flagpole). If necessary, use a plastic cable binder to
secure the lights in place.
3. Connect the plug on the cable to the socket on the
transformer. The plug can only be inserted in one orientation.
4. Secure the plug in place by turning the screw cap onto the
transformer.
5. Plug the transformer into a mains socket.
6. The LEDs will turn on.
7. Press the button on the transformer to select one of the 8
lighting eects. The lighting eects are listed next to the
button: COMB (preset combination of dierent light eects)
> IN WAVES (waveform) > SEQUENTIAL (trailing eect) >
SLO-GLO (slow dim eect) > CHASING/FLASH (flashing
light) > SLOW FADE (slow fade) > TWINKLE/FLASH (twinkle
eect) > STEADY ON (always on)
8. Unplug the transformer from the mains if you do not plan to
use the product for an extended period.
The product does not feature an on/o switch and switches
on automatically when it is connected to the mains.
Care and cleaning
• Unplug the transformer from the mains before cleaning the
product and allow the LEDs to cool down.
• Do not use abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other
chemical solutions, as these may damage the casing or stop the
product from functioning properly.
• Use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. To remove
stubborn dirt, moisten the cloth slightly with water.
• Allow the product to dry out completely before using it again.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not
be placed in household waste. Always dispose of the
product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute
to the protection of the environment.
