*Note: Inmany respects, astereo acts muchlike a computerand occasionally requiresa
reboot. Inthe unlikely eventof product malfunction,a reset canusually fix theissue. A reset is accomplished by holding the Mode and Preset 1 button simultaneously until the unitturns off.

This radiofeatures state ofthe art Bluetoothtechnology allowing musicto wirelessly stream froman audio sourceto the receiveryou just purchased.Why Bluetooth? Power On/Off button. Short pushfor the firsttime to turnthe unit on. Press andhold for morethan 2 secondsto turn theunit off.

SEL stands for SELECT.
Band Function.Switches amongst AM and FM bands.

Bluetooth Operation

Yourmedia device mustincorporate the Bluetoothoption in orderto stream music.
A. To pairyour Bluetoothdevice, pressthe Modebutton onthe stereo untilBT MUSIC
appears. B. Next,go to settingson the Bluetoothdevice and turnthe Bluetoothoption to “on”. C. Pickthe “POLARIS” optionon your Bluetoothenabled device (pleasenote that
if youare prompted fora password, thecode entered willbe “1234”. Ifyour stereo
does notimmediately pair, press preset 3. This will allow the pairing process to
finalize. A higher pitch frequency noise will alert you to the connection/success!
The displaywill also read“CONN OK” (connectionok). D. To disconnectyour device,press preset4 button.“DISCONN” will appear letting
you knowyou have successfullydisconnected.
Auxiliary Input Mode
A. Pressthe Mode buttonuntil “AUX” appearson the LCDscreen. B. The use of auxiliary mode allows you to play the portable music device through
the headphonejack.
RCA output
Description: The use of RCA outputs allow an amplifier or subwoofer to behooked up.
Remote Option
A. RFremote option.
In orderto take advantageof the remoteoption, a transmitterand receiver mustbe purchased (togetherpart #, MILRF9UART). Once plugged in the RF remote dongle, the RFremote will allowfor wireless remotecontrol possibility.

A. SELbutton
1. Pressingthis button insuccession results inthe following menuoptions: volume,
bass, treble,balance, fader, display. Press the VOL or VOL to adjustthe options.
2. A long press of the SEL button initially followed by a short press results in the
following menuoptions: Initial Volume,Area Frequency, Beep, Time, Loud, BT
Volume. Press the VOL or VOL to adjustthe options.
a. Refers tothe loudness levelupon start ofthe receiver.
b. Choose betweenU.S. And European.
c. Choose betweenBeep ON, Beep2ND, Beep OFF. Beep ON will result in
the beepsound at thepress of everybutton; Beep 2NDwill result inthe beep sound oncethe button islong pressed; BeepOFF results ithe beep soundoff completely.
d. VOL results in the minutes being changed; VOL results in thehour
being changed. e. Chose betweenLoud ON orOFF. f. Adjust tochange theinitial Bluetoothvolume.

B. PresBAND to accessFM and AM. There are three FM bands and AM band, each band
containing fourpresets.
C. A.PS button. Short push to scan preset stations in current band. Long push to
automatically presetfour stations intothe current band.
D. Presets.Upon finding adesirable station, holdeither the preset1, 2, 3,or 4 downfor
2 secondsto store.
E. Tuning. A short press of the TUN or TUN button results in a search of the station
of thestation of nextsufficient signal strength. Along press results in manual tuning mode, allowingyou to searchone odd digitfrequency at atime.
USB Operation
Note: USBslot is forUSB sticks only. For play of other brands of media, please use the auxiliary inputor if applicable,utilize Bluetooth mode.
A. Inserta USB stickinto the USBslot. *Songs mustbe of themp3 or wmaformat.*
B. Press1 to pausethe track. Press1 button again to resume play. C. A short press of the TUN or TUN buttons willtrack up ortrack down
respectively.A long press on the TUN or TUN will fast forward and rewind the currenttrack respectively.
D. INTbutton (INT stands for Introduction). Apress of this button will result in
playing thefirst 10 secondsof each tracklocated on theUSB stick. Pressingthe button againwill allow theunit to resumeon the currenttrack and correspondingly stops theIntroduction process.
E. RPTbutton (RPT stands for Repeat). Pressing this button will result in repetitive
playing ofthe current track.Pressing the RPTbutton again will stop the repeat process. A long push plays the tracks in the current folder repeatedly.
F. RDM (RDM stands for Random). Pressingthis buttonwill resultin randomplaying
of theUSB stick files.Pressing this buttonagain will stopthe random playing process.
H. APS (APS stands forAutopreset)
1. The first press of this button will result in track search mode. Press VOL or VOL to your desired track and push SEL toconfirm.
2. The second push will result in song name search mode. Press VOL or VOL to thedesired track andpush SEL to confirm.
3. The third push will result in directory name. Press VOL or VOL to scan Directory nameand at desireddirectory push SELto confirm.
