Adjusting Your Microphone
When adjusting the boom to fit
your application, use small bends
in several area s of the boom to get
the curvature you require. The
CO-7 has been tested up to
20,000 repetitive bends allowing
you maximum fitting control every
time.
Storing Your Microphone
When storing the CO-7, do not
wrap the cable in a tight loop or
coil the cable in any way that
creates serious bends or strain on
the cable.

1. Remove the CO-7 from its case and
carefully uncoil the cable so th at it is
fairly straigh t and without kinks or
bends.
2. You may place the earpiece of the
microphone on either ear. Press the
curved ear-hook area of the CO-7
evenly from all sides to form a s ecure
fit around the ear.
3. Carefully adjust the “boom” p ortion of the CO-7 to curve
around the face. The capsule por tion of the CO-7 is at the tip
of the boom. Curve the boom so that the capsule is l ocated
as closely as possible to the mouth without touchin g
anything. This positioning will provide for an optima l signalto-noise ratio and will also minimize popping and the effects
of breath noise.
5. The CO-7 microphone is available with terminating
connectors for many wireless transmitters including
Shure, Audio Technica and Sennheiser systems. It is
also available with an XLR hardwire termination and bare
wire leads for field termination by an experienced
professional. The most common co nnectors are pictured
below but you may have something di fferent depending
on your application. For more information regarding
wiring and termination please visit our website at
www.point-sourceaudio.com/suppor t.html. If you
need a different connector type, please email your
request to service@point-sourcea udio.com.
Do NOT attempt to re-terminate the microphone yourself.
Making physical changes to the CO -7, such as changing
the cable termination or electro nics, will void your
warranty.
4. Position the CO-7 cable down th e
neck area. Attach the enclosed
cable “clip” to the wire, and se cure
the cable to the collar area, or an
area of clothing near the neck. This
will provide strain relief to the
microphone so that movement of
the boom is minimized to ensure a
consistent audio level.
