SAFETY GUIDE
Read these instructions carefully before using your new co ee machine for the  rst time. Keep them in a place where you can  nd and refer to them later on.
In case of an emergency: immediately remove the plug from the power socket.
Children can never use the appliance without close adult supervision.
Check that the voltage quoted on the rating plate is as same as your mains voltage.
Connect your appliance only to an earthed power socket.
The use of incorrect connections voids the warranty!
Your machine is household use only.
Remove the plug from the main socket if you will not be using the machine for an unattended time (holidays).
Before cleaning and servicing, remove the plug from the main socket and let the machine cool down.
Never immerse the machine, cable, or plug in water or any liquid.
Keep the cable out of children.
Never leave the cable near or in contact with hot parts of the machine, a source of heat, or a sharp edge.
Never place the machine on a hot surface, e.g. a heating plate. Never use it around an open  ame.
Place the machine on a  at, stable, heat resistant surface away from water splashes.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly quali ed persons in order to avoid a hazard.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before using, check that the mechanical and other parts of the machine are intact. The body of the machine, tank lid, tank and brewing unit must never be broken or cracked. The sheath and plug of the power cord must never be cracked or broken. If this should occur, disconnect the plug immediately and take the machine to an authorized dealer for checking.
It is advisable to power the machine using a contact breaker (RCD) with operating current not higher than 30 mA.
Keep the power cord out of the reach of children.
Make sure the machine is turned o before plugging it into the socket outlet.
The electrical safety of this machine is only assured when it is connected to an e cient earth system, in accordance with the safety regulations in force. Have this important requirement checked by a quali ed person. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by lack of an earth.
Before plugging in the machine, make sure that the electric power supply is the same as that of the machine.
Flying leads or non-approved extensions must not be used for supplying electricity to the machine.

• The  rst time the machine is used there might be some smell caused by the insulating materials and the heating elements. This disappears after a few minutes.

This machine must never be used by children, invalids etc. except under strict supervision, nor in any case by people that have not been properly instructed about how to use it and about the dangers of improper use.
Do not use the machine with bare feet and wet hands.
Always unplug the power plug before cleaning the machine and before doing any kind of work on it.

USER SAFETY UNPACKING AND PLACEMENT
Remove the machine from its packing and check that all the parts are there and are not broken.
Place the machine on a  at, even, stable, heat-resistant surface, strong enough to bear its weight.
Do not install or use the machine near curtains or other  ammable material and do not place anything on top of it during use.
Do not place the machine on top of, or close to, additional oven or other equipment that generates heat (for instance, radiators etc.)
Make sure there is enough space around the machine for proper ventilation.
HOW TO USE THE MACHINE
This machine is designed for making espresso co ee with ESE pod, solely for household use. It must not be used for other purposes and must not be altered or tampered with for any reason. Use for any other purpose is considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from improper, erroneous or unreasonable use.
Do not touch the hot parts (Co ee nozzle ) after using the machine.
Packing materials (cardboard, cellophane, metal staples etc.) could cut or couse injury if not handled carefully or if used incorrectly, keep them out of the reach of children or unskilled persons.

Danger of scald.
While brewing co ee beware of possible splashes of hot co ee.
Do not open main lever while brewing co ee.

PREPARING THE MACHINE
Water  lling
Remove the water tank cover (no 8 Figure 1) and pour cold water into the tank (maximum 1000ml), then close the water tank cover
Connect the machine to the electricity by inserting the plug (no 10Figure 1) in the socket.
STARING UP FOR THE FIRST TIME
• The  rst time you use the machine, or if it has not been used for a long time, the following must be done:
Remove the tank (no 9 Figure 4) from the machine, wash it well with cold water (maximum 1000ml) and put it back in the machine making sure it is  tted in properly (Figure 5).
Make sure the handle (no 1 Figure 3) is down, and then place a cup on the Drain tray cover (no 6 Figure 1).
Press the power switch (no 11 Figure 3) switch on the power then power lamps  ash green, and wait until the lamps turn to long green (the water to reach temperature to make co ee).
Feel the small cup key (or big cup key) (no 3 or 4 Figure 3) one time, then water starts coming out from the nozzle, when co ee is over, the machine will stop itself.
This operation is necessary to make sure the tank is  lled.

Press the power switch (no 11 Figure 3) switch on the power then power lamp  ash green and wait for the water to reach temperature then the co ee lamp light (green).
Open the handle (no 1 Figure 6).
Take a capsule (Figure 6) into the capsule window (no 2 Figure 6).
Close the handle (no 1 Figure 3).
Take a cup on the drain tray cover (no 6 Figure 3) and feel the small cup key (or big cup key) (no 3or 4 Figure 1), the co ee start brewing, when co ee is  nished, the machine will stop itself (Small cup co ee volume is 30cc, Big cup co ee volume is 50cc).
After the end of the brewing, open the handle (no 1 Figure 7) the used capsule always drop down to capsule box (no 5 Figure 7).
After brewing 10-12 pieces capsule the capsule box is full, please take out the capsule box unit (no 5,6,7 Figure 7) and clear it.
COFFEE SETTING
Put the capsule in the machine and handle is close and wait until the cup key light from  ash turn to long green (reach temperature for brewing co ee).
How to resume the acquiescence co ee volume (small cup co ee volume is 30cc, big cup co ee volume is 50cc).
When you want to make co ee for the acquiescence co ee volume, Your  nger feel the small cup key and the big cup key at the same time for three seconds and then small cup lamp and big cup lamp  ash to acquiescence co ee volume setting, now make co ee, co ee volume will be acquiescence co ee volume.
HOW TO MAKE COFFEE FOR 20CC
Long feel small cup key (or big cup key) for three seconds and the lamps  ash green, then move your  nger away (go to co ee setting)

the machine will make co ee when the machine make co ee volume under 20cc (or make co ee volume 20cc) to stop co ee brewing and store the amount to memory, next cup co ee volume will be 20cc and it stop itself.
HOW TO MAKE COFFEE FROM 20 TO 120CC Long feel one  nger on small cup key (or big cup key) for three seconds to the lamps turn  ash green, then move your  nger (go to co ee setting, the machine will make co ee. Once the co ee has reached the required level, touch small cup key (or big cup key) to stop the pouring and to store the amount to memory. If you not touch small cup key (or big cup key), the co ee will be stopped itself when the co ee quantity up the maximal quantity 120ml and to store 120ml to memory.
When the machine don’t work for 15 minutes, the machine will go to sleep (the green light will become red light).
To restart the machine, touch one of the two cup key, which will begin to  ash green. When the machine is heated, the two cups will have a  xed green light.
DESCALING
It is advisable to de-scale the appliance every 6 months or so, depending on the frequency of use and the mineral content of your water; De-scale using commercial de-scaling agents recommended for co ee makers or use water and vinegar as follows: Fill the water tank with straight vinegar (5%solution). Operate the appliance, as it making co ee, until the tank is empty. After that, rinse the water tank and let or 2 tanks of fresh water  ow through the brew head until there is no more smell of vinegar.

Note: This operation may be dangerous if other substance are used instead of vinegar or approved de-scaling materials recommended for household co ee makers.
CLEANING
Use a damp cloth to clean the body of the machine and do not use abrasive detergents.
Remove the capsule box and drain tray (no 5,7 Figure 7) empty any capsules and wash them with an ordinary dishwashing detergent.
Periodically remove the water tank (no 8 Figure 4) and rinse it with clean water then put it back properly in its place.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the machine is not working properly make the simple checks set out below. If the problem is not among those listed or if it still persists, even if you follow the advice given, contact an authorized dealer.

• Make sure that the level of the water in the tank is right and, if necessary, add cold natural water.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact you local government for information regarding the collection systems available.

When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposals at least free of charge.
