Designed to tackle the extreme compute challenges of the most complex scientific, visualization, 3D design, DCC
and broadcast applications, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 by PNY delivers a new unified architecture, Shader
Model 4.0 technology, large frame buffers, and GPU computing for visualization technology.
The NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 by PNY is targeted as an ultra high-performance professional grap hics solution for
PCI Express systems. It features 1536 MB of 136-pin ball grid array (BGA) GDDR3 memory, with a bandwidth of
up to 76.8GB/sec for interactive visualization and processing of large textures and frames. This solution also
offers compute programmability, and support for advanced 32- or 64-bit workstation archite ctu res. The NVIDIA
Quadro FX 5600 by PNY supports a variety of display types including CRTs, projectors and digital flat panels. It
also supports frame lock/genlock (G-Sync model) and a future to be released serial digital interface (HD-S DI / SDI
model).
Physical Dimensions
The NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 by PNY professional graphics board is a PCI Express full-height (4.376 inches by
12.283 inches) form factor graphics add-in card based on the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 graphics processing units
(GPU) and the NVIO-1 display ASIC.
Size: 4.376 inches × 12.283 inches, dual slot
Power required: 171 W
High-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) support
Two 6-pin PCI Express power connectors
Power Specifications
The NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 graphics board is a performance optimized high-end board. Power is
taken from the PCI Express host bus and the auxiliary power connectors. Without auxiliary power the NVIDIA
Quadro FX 5600 graphics board will run in emergency power mode with very low speed to be compliant
with PCI Express specification of 75 W maximum via on port GPU_SLOW. For full performance, two external
PCI Express power connectors must be attached for a total 171 W power requirement.

NVIDIA Quadro FX5600G by PNY
Part No. VQCFX5600G-PCIE- PB
Featuring frame lock, genlock, and swap lock functionality, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600G by PNY delivers
unprecedented levels of industrial realism, visualization, and collaborative capabilities by enabling advanced
multi-system and multi-device visualization environments.
The NVIDIA Quadro G-Sync II board is designed to fit in to any available expansion slot within 6 inches of the
NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 connector. The G-Sync II derives all data and power directly from the NVIDIA Quadro
FX 5600 by PNY graphics board.
Frame lock allows the display channels from multiple workstation to be synchronized, thus creating one large
“virtual display” that can be driven by multi system cluster for performance scalability. Genlock allows the graphic
output to be synchronized to an external source, typically for Film and broadcast video applications.
NVIDIA Quadro FX5600G total power requirement: 173W
