Introduction
The MB1 monitor has been developed to provide an important recording tool for professional
users and the ultimate in sound reproduction in the home. This passive version employs
identical cabinet and driver assemblies, and is therefore upgradable to a fully active system
at a later date.
The design approach has been to integrate three of the finest drivers in time and amplitude
with steep 24dB/octave filters and integrate them in a transmission line enclosure. Such a
coupling allows the MB1 monitors to achieve a usable response to 20 Hertz hand in hand with
precise three dimensional image placement.
In order to take full advantage of their superb performance, please ensure you fully
understand how to install and use the loudspeakers by carefully reading through the following
information.
Unpacking
The MB1 monitors are separately packed inside a heavy duty outer protective cardboard
casing. Take care when removing and handling the units. Please retain the packing materials
for later use.
In addition to each main unit the packaging will contain the following items:
3 off Neutrik Speakon NL4FC connectors per loudspeaker
1 off 1.5 mm Allen Key.
Please notify your distributor in the event of a shortage.
Before connection carefully remove the two cardboard sheets protecting the high and mid
frequency drivers beneath the grille frame.
