Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing the Internet Gateway – IG-2000.
In addition to the documentation provided with this product, this Release
Note contains additional information and changes that occurred after the
guides were printed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact
our Technical Support Department.
The IG-2000 with firmware code: v6.5R21 or above adds the function as the
followings.
Special Application (Advanced Menu)
This feature is only required if you wish to use Internet applications which require
2-way communication, multiple connections, or combined TCP/UDP
connections.
Examples of such applications are Internet Videoconferencing, Telephony,
Games Servers, and other special-purpose Servers. For example, CuseeMe,
Diablo.
Generally, you will become aware of the need for this feature when an Internet
application is unable to function correctly. Be noted, each entry only support one
PC for the application.
Exposed PC (Advanced Menu)
The “Exposed PC” is used to provide full 2-way communication between 1 PC
and the Internet. The assigned PC (only one PC) will have the capability as like
direct connect to the Internet through a modem and Windows DUN. However, be
in noted, this also means the firewall in the PC is also being turned off. You can
use the Special Application for your required activity, and turn on it only if the
features are insufficient.

please refer to the manual for more.
