What is the SEP-C1?
The SEP-C1 is a controller designed to be used with Pioneer’s DJS software application. However, programs from other manufacturers such as Serato may work as well.
What can I do with the SEP-C1?
When connected to a PC, the SEP-C1 allows DJs to play and manipulate music without using a keyboard and mouse. Portability is easy because the SEP-C1 is powered by the PC via USB.
Will other DJ software applications work with the SEP-C1?
Other popular DJ applications have expressed interest in supporting the SEP-C1. Several indicated that updates to support the Pioneer controller should be released shortly.
How do I connect the SEP-C1 to a PC?
Simply download then install the driver from the installing the software driver, connect your PC to the SEP-C1 using the USB cable provided with the controller.

Can I update the firmware via USB?
Firmware updates are available online for upload via USB. To receive firmware update notices please register each SEP-C1.
What can I do when the player is connected to a PC?
When connected to a PC, the provided Pioneer DJS software application can control the player. Some commands are Play, Cue, Loop, and more. For a complete list of control options, refer to the included operating instructions.
What’s included with the SEP-C1?
The SEP-C1 ships complete with the Pioneer software DJS version 1.60 for Windows, a USB cable, a USB power cord, and the Operating Instructions.
Can I add a drive at a later time to make it a MEP-7000?
There are no plans to allow upgrading an SEP-C1 to an MEP-7000.
Does the SEP-C1 support MP3 players, hard disc drives or other storage devices?
No, the SEP-C1 is a control unit only.
Is it possible to connect a DJM or audio mixer to the SEP-C1?
No the SEP-C1 offers no audio outpour connection.
Can I play CD-G karaoke disc just as the MEP-7000 does ?
No the SEP-C1 does not support CD-G play because it does not have a drive.
