SAFETY RELATED ISSUES
As all other machinery, if the golf carts are used in an inappropriate manner, this may cause injuries. This section contains all the general safety implementations required to safely operate the golf cart. Before starting the golf carts, the personnel responsible for the golf area determines the additional safety precautions which may be required for safer use by the golf area personnel.
The experiences indicate that the golf carts are safe when they are operated according to the safety warnings attached on each vehicle. This safe operation will be strengthened when the golf carts are operated according to the safety rules and practices identified in a manner to be fit for the field conditions where the golf carts are used.
The information contained herein is prepared for the personnel responsible for the safety of the golf carts. If you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the golf cart, we recommend you to implement the golf cart safety programme.
DRIVER QUALITIES
Please allow solely the authorized persons to operate the golf carts. It is recommended that the golf carts are operated solely by the persons those who have a valid motor vehicle driving license.
Please locate the operation and safety instructions recommended by the golf cart manufacturer together with the golf field safety rules to a notable place on the golf cart hiring area or car park. Furthermore, it is also recommended that the following warnings are located at a notable place.
Please do not operate the golf carts when you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs…!
GOLF FIELD SAFETY INVESTIGATION
Please perform regular safety investigations to determine the dangerous areas where the golf carts shall not be used.
HAZARD PREVENTION IN THE GOLF FIELD

SAFETY RELATED ISSUES
• Soft Ground: Soft ground may cause the golf cart lose grip and may affect the balance. Please reinforce the soft ground and circumscribe such areas with chains or ropes or please indicate soft ground with proper warning.
• Meeting of the pedestrians with the golf cart:
Please direct the golf cart or pedestrian traffic as much as possible to different areas to prevent accidents in crowded areas. If directing the traffic is not convenient, please locate warning signals that warn the pedestrians against golf cart traffic and the golf cart drivers to drive slowly, be careful and monitor the pedestrians carefully.
MAINTENANCE REQUIRED FOR SAFETY OF THE GOLF CART
Please comply with the below issues to secure the safety of the golf cart drivers.
• Protective Maintenance: Please perform all scheduled maintenances according to the recommendations of the golf cart manufacturer to provide a safe and properly operating golf cart in the golf field.
• Personnel: Please allow solely the qualified, trained and authorized personnel to check, adjust and repair the golf carts.
• Spare parts and Materials: Please use solely the spare parts and materials recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Ventilation: Please ventilate all the maintenance and storing areas in conformity with the fire prevention rules and regulations to prevent risk of fire, ventilation is required to discharge the inflammable gases and fumes from the storage areas of gasoline-powered vehicles. Ventilation is also required to discharge hydrogen from the vehicle storage areas while the accumulator is being charged.
The amount of hydrogen diffused during charging of the electrical golf carts may vary depending on many elements such as the status of the accumulators, the output power of the accumulator charger and the charging duration of the accumulators. Due to the fact that hydrogen is extremely volatile and convects and accumulates in forms of air bubbles at the ceiling, at least five air changes per hour is recommended. Please review the applicable fire and safety rules for the specific ventilation level requirements and operation requirements of the explosion proof electrical devices.

Before charging:
If the hydraulic is below the upper plates just add pure water sufficient enough to cover the plates.
After charging:
Open the ventilaiton lids and look into the filling holes. Add pure water until the level of electrolytes recah below the 3 mm bottom filling hole. A piece of plastic may be used as an oil rod to determine this level. Clean, replace and tight all the ventilaiton lids.

While the bateries are being charged, hydrogen gas which has an explosive characteristic is formed. Charge the batteries solely in finely ventilated places. (minimum 5 air change per hour
is required)
--------------------------------------
In order to charge the batteries on your golf cart, the battery charger is mounted on your vehicle. The below section contains the summary of charging stages.
--------------------------------------
1. Turn the ignition key to OFF (CLOSED) position.
2. The ONBOARD charging unit is below the seat at the left hand side as shown.
3. Plug the DC out put of the charging unit into the normal socket (220V)
--------------------------------------
CAUTION !
Battery charging operation carries high electrical risks. Please seek help if you are not experienced.
--------------------------------------
Check the specific gravity of the battery water from the table by usimg hydrometer. If any low level is detected or the reradings vary more than one point between the cells, call a Pilotcar Authorized Service.

Adjusting brake pedal
1. Remove the mat on the surface of the golf cart and maintenance lid.
2. Check the brake pedal free travel by pushing the brake pedal with two fingers ( by applying slight force) by measuring the distance the pedal moves until a resistance is felt. (a)
Brake pedal slack 45-50 mm.
3. If the brake pedal slack is to be adjusted, loosen the lock nut (A) and turn the adjusting nut (B) to inwards and outwards directions until the determined pedal slack is eleminated and then fix the locking nut in its place.
4. In case the right or left rear tyres of your cart do not perform equal brakes turn the C and D nuts inwards and outwards and make sure both brakes perform the same. Tighten and fix the adjustment nut after adjustment is completed.
--------------------------------------
ATTENTION
Do not excessively tighten the brake wirings. Excessive tightening may increase brake wear and the entire
performance of the car will be effected.
--------------------------------------

This manual contains important safety and operating instructions – read before using charger.
Warning: Use charger only with an algorithm selected that is appropriate
to the specic battery type. Other usage may cause personal injury and
damage. Lead acid batteries may generate explosive hydrogen gas dur-
ing normal operation. Keep sparks, ames, and smoking materials away
from batteries. Provide adequate ventilation during charging. Never charge
a frozen battery. Study all battery manufacturers’ specic precautions, ie.
maximum charge rates and if cell caps should be removed while charging.
Danger: Risk of electric shock. Connect charger power cord to an outlet that has been properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. A grounded outlet is required to reduce risk of electric shock – do not use ground adapters or modify plug. Do not touch uninsulated portion of output connector or uninsulated battery terminals. Disconnect the AC supply before making or breaking the connections to the battery. Do not open or disassemble charger. Do not operate this charger if the AC supply cord is damaged or if the charger has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way –
refer all repair work to the manufacturer, or qualied personnel. This appliance
is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Operating Instructions
CAUTION: Charger enclosure may be hot during charging. Use hand protection if handling the charger while charging.
1. Extension cords must be 3-wire cord no longer than 30m(100’) at 10AWG or 7.5m (25’ at 16AWG per UL guidelines.
2. Only connect ONE QuiQ charger to a single 15A circuit or the circuit may become overloaded.
