Unlike children, your optimum™ likes to stay clean.
cleaning the fabric cover
Read the label on the removable cover for washing •
instructions.
Hand wash in warm water only.•
DO NOT tumble dry.•

cleaning the harness, chest pads and seat
Sponge clean only. Use hand soap and warm water. •
DO NOT attempt to remove the harness straps •
from the seat when cleaning. It is unnecessary and
dangerous to do so.
DO NOT use solvents, detergents or washing up •
liquids as these may weaken the harness and seat.
DO NOT lubricate or oil any part of the seat. •

DO NOT wring. •
Dry your optimum™ thoroughly before storage. •
Store in a well ventilated space, away from direct •
sunlight which could damage or fade your product.
Store the optimum™ in a safe place when it is not •
being used. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.
DO NOT allow your optimum™ to come into contact •
with corrosive substances e.g. battery acid.
RIGHTS & REMEDIES
We want to give owners confidence in the quality of our
products. They are fully warranted against defects in
materials & workmanship for one year from the date of
purchase.
What is the warranty?
If we determine that the product has a manufacturing
fault we will repair it free of charge. If not practical to
repair it we will, at our discretion, replace the faulty part in
question*.
What if it’s outside the warranty terms?
If the product fails due to wear & tear, accident, neglect or
negligence, or if it is outside the 1 year warranty period, we
will happily repair it for a reasonable charge.

Who is covered?
The original purchaser buying product from an authorised
dealer. Proof of purchase is required.
What is covered?
Workmanship or materials that are deemed faulty by
, providing the product has at all times been
used in normal conditions, used in accordance with the
instructions & been properly maintained.
What is not covered?
Second hand product; modified product; poorly
maintained product; normal wear, fading & fabric cuts;
improper use or care: (by way of example) abnormal
use; not following instructions; excessive load; transport
damage i.e. airline or freight damage.
Customer costs within warranty
The customer is responsible for any inwards freight
charge to return product to a representative for
warranty & or service.
Customer costs outside warranty
Where proof of purchase is not provided or product
is outside of the one year warranty period,
reserves the right to charge a service fee and/or charge
for parts replaced/repaired. A return freight charge may
apply.
Exclusions
Any consequential loss or damage to any person or
property directly or indirectly as a result of using a
product.
WORLDWIDE COVERAGE:
If you file a warranty claim outside of the country of
purchase we reserve the right to charge freight and/or
service fees.

The optimum™ complies with requirements applicable in

Notice
Please read thoroughly before commencing •
installation as an incorrect installation could be
dangerous.
Extreme Hazard
Do not use in passenger seats equipped with airbags•
Vehicle seat belt requirements
Your child seat can only be installed using a three-•
point lap and diagonal seat belt in the rear passenger
seats of the car.
NOTICE
This is a “Universal” child restraint; it is approved to 1.
ECE Regulation 44.04 for general use in vehicles and
will fit most, but not all, vehicle seats.
A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has 2.
declared in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is
capable of accepting a “Universal” child restraint for
this group.
This child restraint has been declared “Universal” 3.
under more stringent conditions than those applied to
earlier designs which do not carry this notice.
If in doubt, consult either the child restaint 4.
manufacturer or the retailer.
IMPORTANT
This product should be used rearward facing until the •
child is too large for the seat or exceeds 13kgs.
This product should only be used forward facing for •
children over 9kg up to a maximum of 18kg.

WARNINGS
Always keep this manual in the pocket located on the •
back of the head rest.
Never use the child seat without fastening the child‘s •
harness correctly, and never attempt to use it without
fastening it into the car.
BEFORE first use of your car seat read this manual •
carefully. Failing to follow the correct installation
instructions may result in the restraint not functioning
as it should.
The car seat is only suitable for use in vehicles •
fitted with 3 point safety belts, approved to UN/ECE
regulation 16 or equivalent standards.
Rigid items and plastic parts of a child restraint •
must be so located and installed that they are not
liable, during everyday use of the vehicle, to become
trapped by a movable seat or in a door of the vehicle.
Pay special attention to the warnings,• printed in red.
Car safety seats are designed to protect your child in •
the event of a sudden stop or crash. No safety seat
guarantees absolute protection from injury in the
event of a crash, but using them reduces the risk.
Countries can differ in laws and recommendations •
for safe child restraint seat use. Further advice can be
gained from your local law enforcement officers or
your vehicle supplier.
After an accident this product and your car seat belts •
should be replaced. They may not look damaged but
in the event of another accident, this product and your
car seat belts may not be able to protect your child as
well as they should
When fitting the belt, it may become gathered or •
bunched. However ensure the belt is tight and there
is no slack.
DO & DON‘TS
DO NOT under any circumstances use the car seat •
with a passenger seat fitted with an air bag.
DO NOT leave loose objects, such as luggage or •
books in the back or your car. They must be secured,
because if the vehicle stops suddenly, loose objects
will keep moving and can cause serious injuries.
Large and heavy loose objects are a particular risk.
DO NOT leave folding passenger seats unlatched. If •
your vehicle stops suddenly, a loose seat back could
injure your child.
DO NOT leave children unattended in this product, •
even for a short time.

DO NOT use this product without the fabric cover. •
The cover should not be replaced with any other
than the one recommended by the manufacturer
as it constitutes an integral part of the restraints
performance.
DO NOT make any alterations or additions to the •
product.
DO NOT install this product in any other way other •
than that described in this booklet.
DO store this product in a safe place when it is not •
being used. Avoid placing heavy objects on top
of it and do not store near direct heat sources eg.
radiators.
DO periodically inspect the harness for wear, paying •
particular attention to attachment points, stitching and
adjusting devices.
DO always keep this product secure in the vehicle, •
even if it is not being used by your child.
DO keep this user guide safe for future reference. •
DO cover this product if your car is left in direct •
sunshine. Metal and plastic fittings can become hot to
touch in sunny weather and the cover may become
faded.
DO make sure that you adjust the harness to fit your •
child before each journey.
