Thank you for purchasing the BIGHEAD. A great deal of dedication and
passio n went in to de si g ni ng an d building this no - compromis e , high
performance compact-combo amplifier. It w as concieved to be a dedicate d
amplifier for the “conessieur” bassist. Reading this manual will enable you to
get the best performance from it and it will give you many years of servi ce.
READ THIS FIRST
Before using the BIGHEAD please read ALL the i nstr uctions.
On receipt of product, chec k for any signs of physical damage arising
from shipping. If any damage is visible contact your de aler.
Do not install this equipment in a confined or buildi ng-in space such as
a book case or similar unit, and remain a well ventilation condit ions at
open site. The ventilation should not be i mp eded by covering the
ventilation openings with items such as ne wspaper, table-cloths,
curtains etc.

When not in use and during movement , please take care of the power
cordset, e.g. tie up the pow er cordset with cable tie or something like
that. It shall be free from sharp edges and the like that can c ause
abrasion of the power cordset. When put into use again, please make
sure the power cordset being not damaged, If any damages found,
please look for the service person to replace t he power cordset specifie d
by the m
anufact urer or have the same characteristics as the original
one.
Correct Disposal of this product. This marking indicates t hat this

OVERVIEW OF THE BIGHEAD
The Big Head has many features in a small p a ckage.

1. Headphone booster
: Conne ct up a smart p hone or audio device to auxiliary
input and unleash the true potential of your music to your headphones. The output
power is more than six times than that of an Iphone. The increase in power will add
extra dynamics and resolution to your audio.
2. Headphone amp for Guitar and Bass instrume nts
. The Big Head features a
specifically developed 2-Band EQ system optim ized mainly f or bass instruments
but can also work f or any type of othe r instrume nt due to the broad ba nd spectru
m
of the HF boost and cut. Input level control allo ws any type of passive or a ctive
instruments to be conne cted with perfect imp e dance and signal level matching.
3. Digital Re cording device:
The Micro USB can be connected to a computer for
re cording direct for use with software such as Pro Tools, Cake wa lk or Garage Band.
4. Digital Playback
: The USB also allows a digita l si gnal to be converted back to
Analog playback.
5. Pre Amplifier.
The head phone out jack ca n be connected to the aux input of a
PJB Bass Cub BG-10 0 or Double Four BG-75 giving the amp an extra input channe l
with EQ.

ead features an internal rechargeable lithium ion battery which can last
up to8hours of continuous use or can be connected to a smart phone cha rger via the
micro USB for AC operation

This is a standard micro USB soc ket for charging and da

USB sound card for computers.
9. Stereo Aux input jack.
This is a stereo mini jack and ca n accept any signal from iPod, iPad, and computer
or drum machine.
10. Bass i nstrument input jack.
This is a high impedance input and is designe d for all passive and active
instruments.

PJB amplifiers carrya2years limit ed warranty on parts and labor.
Products must be pu rchased from an authorized PJB dealer.
Buyer must complete and return the enclosed warranty card within 15 days of
purc hase, or register online by
This warranty covers defect in materials or workmanship that occurs in
normal use. Within warranty period PJB or its local distributor will repair or
replace the defect unit free of labor and part s charge. It is the buyer’s
responsibi
lity to use the unit strictly according to instr uctions written in the
owner’s manual.
This warranty is not transferable; it is provided to original owner only.
Damage/defects caused by the following conditions are not covered by this
warranty:
• Improper handling, neglect or failure to opera te the unit in compliance
with the instructions given in user manual;
• Connection or operation in any way t hat does not comply with the technical
