Highlights
Dumbbell speaker design
With a dumbbell speaker design, the high-range
tweeter is positioned at the midpoint, between two
lower frequency woofers. In this product the woofer
driver is on top, with the tweeter in the middle and
the Philips patented wOOx on the bottom. This
configuration generates a more balanced sound
making the overall audio effect more natural. And
the premium finish of this quality speaker will
complement you and your choice of audio
equipment.
Aluminium metal front
Premium build quality design. The speaker's front is
made from a single piece of anodised brushed
aluminium – the same material used to build aircraft.
The aluminium, curved to create an ideal acoustic
chamber, optimises audio delivery for sound that is
accurate, powerful, natural and crystal clear.
Silk dome tweeter
A silk dome tweeter holds a diaphragm made with
silk—a superior material to that used in ordinary
tweeters. The silk material used in the diaphragm has
superior sound damping characteristics and its soft
texture ensures minimal acoustic breakup. As a
result, the sound produced by a silk dome tweeter is
smooth, warm and has a wide range.
wOOx technology
wOOx technology is a revolutionary loudspeaker
concept that allows you to hear and feel profoundly
deep ba ss that is richer than any other audio system.
Special speaker drivers work in harmony with the
wOOx bass radiator, and precise tuning between the
main driver and the tweeter ensures smooth
transitions from low-mid to high frequencies. Dual
suspension and a totally symmetrical sandwich
construction deliver low and precise base without
noticeable distortion. wOOx produces exceptionally
deep and dynamic bass by using the speaker box full
volume to truly magnify the impact of the music.
PP driver material
The polypropylene (PP) material in the driver, which
is soft, makes for better high frequency sounds. It can
help rolling out and produces a purer sound with
better clarity and balance. Easier to integrate with
the tweeter, the use of this lightweight material
results in less vibration.
AUX-in and headphone out
Now you can enjoy your favourite music and
entertainment even easier and more conveniently,
via the aux-in and headphone out jack on the front
of these speakers. Usually, if you want to connect
another device other than your PC you have to
unplug the 3.5 mm jack from the computer and that
is not always expedient. But with the aux-in and
headphone out connections on front you can quickly
and easily listen to music straight from almost any
device.
