Introduction
IMPORTANT: Before using this product please read your PC/MAC system instruction manual for safety and
other information.
Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing the A Retractable PC Controller for use with personal computers. Retractable
connection cable, keyboard/mouse emulation software (Proler), and rubberized tactile grips provide maximum control and portability. The SGC2909 Retractable PC Controller is equipped with two built-in motors, which have unbalanced weights to provide vibration feedback in games that support this feature. (The Keyboard/Mouse emulation prole editor software and Dual Vibration feedback are not supported on MAC computers).
CAUTION: Connection cable length should be adjusted before starting your PC or MAC game. Extending or
retracting cable during game play could cause the game to malfunction or crash. It could also cause a loaded
prole to be dropped.
Do NOT pull on the connection cable as this can damage the SGC2909 Retractable PC Controller. The con-
nection cable should be gradually extended until the desired length is reached.

Button Descriptions
• Directional pad - Represents UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT and four diagonals. Directional Pad will function as a
POV (Point of View) hat during analog mode.
• Buttons “1”, “2”, “3”, and “4” are default re buttons and are all digital in nature.
• Left and right analog sticks - each contains two axes. Left analog stick controls the X and Y Axis. Right analog stick controls the Rz and Z axis. Also, there is a “hidden” button “11” and “12” under each stick that is activated when the analog stick is depressed inward.
• Buttons “5”, “6”, “7”, and “8” are all digital shoulder buttons.
• Analog Mode button - Used to switch the controller from digital to analog mode (and vice versa). Analog mode is
the default mode. The red LED will illuminate when the controller is in analog mode and be off in digital mode.
• The Start and Select buttons are digital buttons (9, 10).
• The Esc button provides the same function as the esc key on your windows keyboard. Note: You must have installed the mouse and key prole editor software. This button is not MAC compatible.
• The Enter button provides the same function as the Enter key on your windows keyboard. Note: You must have installed the mouse and key prole editor software. This button is not MAC compatible.
• The Mouse button is used when the mouse and key prole editor emulation software is installed and it will activate mouse movement mode. Note: This button is not MAC compatible.
Analog Button
Use to switch between digital and analog mode. Analog mode is the default mode. All buttons are accessible in digital and analog mode. In digital mode, the analog sticks are non-operational and the D-pad digitally controls
the X and Y axis. In the analog mode, the D-pad functions as a POV hat while the left analog stick controls the X and Y axis. The right analog stick controls the Rz and Z axis. The LED below the Analog button will be illuminated
when Analog mode is on.

Installation
Note: The D-pad functions as a POV hat for most software titles, but may operate differently depending on the
design of each individual game. You can also congure the D-pad to control the X and Y axis through the
Test Page found in the SGC2909 Retractable PC Controller properties.
Enter & Esc Buttons
These two buttons will function the same as the Enter and Esc keys found on your Windows keyboard. The En-
ter & Esc buttons will commonly be used to select and exit menus during PC games. These controller buttons can be used as a replacement for the Enter & Esc keys found on the keyboard. You no longer need to take your
hand off the controller to hit the keyboards Enter and Esc keys.
Note: You must install the SGC2909 Software in order for these buttons to function. If the software is not in-
stalled, these buttons will not function. Also, these buttons cannot be re-programmed with the Prole Editor.
Mouse Button
The mouse button is used to turn on/off mouse movement mode. By default, mouse movement is automatically assigned to the right analog stick. (This means if mouse movement mode is activated, the right analog stick
will automatically control the mouse cursor.) Pressing the mouse button will turn the integrated blue LED on.
With the mouse LED on, moving the right analog stick will control the mouse cursor. With the mouse LED off, the right stick will return to its default Rz and Z axis control. If desired, you can use the Prole Editor to assign mouse movement to the left analog stick, but you must still press the mouse button to activate the mouse movement mode. Mouse movement will only be emulated when the mouse button’s blue LED is illuminating.

Vibration Feedback
The Retractable PC Controller has two internal motors. Their weights are unbalanced to provide vibration when it is activated by game software. Note: The vibration feedback will only function with software titles that support vibration. You must have also
loaded the SGC2909’s software. There are many different force feedback and rumble effects available. However, due to differences in software and hardware design, the Retractable PC Controller may not support all effects. You will nd that the range of effects that the Retractable PC Controller supports will vary from
game to game. Vibration Feature is not compatible with MAC computers.
