3 Getting started
This section helps you with the rst time
installation of the USB2.0 hub.
3.1 Connect hub to the computer
Warning
Carefully read the safety precautions in section 1.1 Safety before you connect the hub.
1. Plug the A cable connector to A USB port in your computer.
2. Plug the smaller plug (5-pin Mini B) to the hub.
Tip
This hub is Hot-Swappable, this means you can disconnect from computer without go­ing through Windows disconnect screens.
3.2 Connect USB devices to the hub
1. If you use high power consumption devices, like external HD drives, please use external power supply converting to DC 5V/2A.
2. Plug rst USB device into Port 1 on the
hub.
3. Plug second USB device into Port 2.
4. Plug third USB device into Port 3.
5. Plug fourth USB device into Port 4.
