1 Introduction
Thank you for choosing Philips PureRadiance. Cleansing is an essential part of the daily skincare routine, but traditional methods do not always leave your skin as clean and radiant as it could be. 3.1 CAUTION
Only use this appliance on the face, neck and low neckline, excluding the sensitive area around the eyes. Do not use this product for any other purpose.
Do not use the appliance more than twice a day.
For hygienic reasons, it is recommended the appliance be used by only one person.
Do not use this appliance if you have dry, chapped or sunburned skin, open wounds, suffer from skin diseases or skin irritations or if you are taking steroid­based medication.
Do not use this appliance with self-made cleansers or cleansers containing harsh chemicals or rough particles.
Do not clean the appliance and accessories in a

dishwasher.

3.2 General
If you have sensitive skin select setting 1 the rst few times you use the appliance.
Facial skin can get dryer during colder months so you may want to reduce the treatment time or frequency, depending on the condition of your skin.
Using the appliance to remove makeup may discolor or stain the bristles.
Clean the appliance and the accessories after each use.
An adapter plug may be necessary for charging plug usage in some foreign countries. Use an attachment
plug adapter of the proper conguration for the
power outlet. The charging plug will automatically convert to work on 100V to 240V AC systems.
4 Preparing for use
Make sure the charging pins on the appliance are
connected properly with the contact points in the charging stand.

4.1 Charging the appliance
Charging the appliance takes approximately 6 hours. A fully charged appliance has a cordless operating time of up to 30 minutes.

stand (1), put the adapter in the wall socket (2), remove the protection cap (3) and put the appliance
in the charging stand (4) (g. 2).

3 The charging light blinks white to indicate that
the appliance is charging. When the battery is fully charged, the charging light lights up white
continuously (g. 3).
4.2 Battery-low indicator
When the battery is almost empty, the charging light blinks amber for 15 seconds. The battery still contains
enough energy for a complete treatment (g. 4).

To charge the appliance, follow the steps in section ‘Charging the appliance’.
5.1 Brush heads
Normal brush head for all skin types. Use daily.
Exfoliation brush head (model SC5274/10 only) for all skin types. Use weekly.

5.2.1 Speed settings
You can choose between two different speed settings depending on your personal preference.
Speed one: gentle cleansing, for a mild and soft cleansing
Speed two: deep cleansing, for a comfortable and more intensive cleansing
5.2.2 Skin zones
The face can be divided into three zones: right cheek, left cheek and T-zone. The cheek zones include the
chin, the area between nose and upper lip and the area between eyes and ears. The neck and lower neck can also be divided into three zones (g. 5).

5.2.4 Auto shut-off

6.1 Cleaning the appliance, brush head and charging stand
• Always keep the power cord and adapter dry. Never
rinse it under the tap or immerse in water.
• For best results, clean the appliance and brush heads
with warm water after each use.
• Always remove the appliance from the charging
stand before cleaning.
• Never remove or replace brushes while the
appliance is turned on.

8 Replacement
8.1 Brush head replacement
Worn bristles could lead to skin irritation. The normal brush head should be replaced every 3 months, the exfoliation brush head (model SC5274/10 only) every 6 months or replace either earlier if the bristles are deformed or damaged.

10 Battery Removal
This Philips appliance contains a lithium-ion battery
which must be disposed of properly (g. 15).
Battery should only be removed when the appliance is to be discarded.
