Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Philips! To fully benet

from the support that Philips offers, register your product at www.philips. com/welcome. With your new Satinelle ICE you can remove unwanted hairs quickly, easily and effectively. The combination of the ceramic epilating system, the cooling glove and the massaging system constitutes a revolution in epilation. Thanks to the natural numbing effect of ice and massaging, the Satinelle ICE makes epilation more comfortable and less painful than ever. The result is a silky-smooth skin and a hair growth reduction of up to 50%, assuming you use the appliance regularly (every 4 weeks). The Satinelle ICE is suitable for all body parts. The rapidly rotating epilating discs catch even the shortest hairs (down to

0.5 millimetre) and pull them out by the roots. As a result, your skin stays smooth for up to four weeks and regrowth is soft and downy.

Danger

Keep the appliance and the adapter dry.

Warning

Check if the voltage indicated on the adapter corresponds to the

local mains voltage before you connect the appliance. Only use the appliance in combination with the adapter supplied.

Do not use the appliance if the adapter or the appliance itself is

damaged. If the adapter is damaged, always have it replaced with one of the

original type in order to avoid a hazard. The adapter contains a transformer. Do not cut off the adapter to

replace it with another plug, as this causes a hazardous situation. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with

the appliance.

Caution

Do not expose the appliance to temperatures lower than 5°C or

higher than 35°C. To prevent damage and injuries, keep the running appliance away

from scalp hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, clothes, threads, cords, brushes etc. Do not use the appliance on irritated skin or skin with varicose veins,

rashes, spots, moles (with hairs) or wounds without consulting your

doctor rst. People with a reduced immune response, or people who suffer from diabetes mellitus, haemophilia or immunodeciency should also consult their doctor rst. Your skin may become a little red and irritated the rst few times you

use the epilator. This phenomenon is normal and quickly disappears. As you use the appliance more often, your skin gets used to epilation, skin irritation decreases and regrowth becomes thinner and softer. If

the irritation has not disappeared within three days, we advise you to consult a doctor.

Always check the shaving head before you use the appliance. Do not use the shaving head if the foil or the trimmers are damaged, as this may cause injury.

Electromagnetic elds

This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding

electromagnetic elds (EMF). If handled properly and according to the

instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on

scientic evidence available today.

Preparing for use

Freezing the ice gel pad

Read these instructions carefully before you use the cooling

glove (Fig. 2).

Keep the ice gel pad out of the reach of children (Fig. 3).

Do not use a damaged ice gel pad (Fig. 4).

Do not use the ice gel pad if you are hypersensitive to cold.

1 Put the ice gel pad without the cooling glove in the freezer or

freezing compartment (***) at least 2 hours before you start to epilate. (Fig. 5)

Make sure the outside of the ice gel pad is completely dry before you freeze it.

Tip: You can store the ice gel pad in the freezer permanently.

Using the appliance

General information about epilation

Epilation is easier just after a bath or shower. Make sure your skin is completely dry when you start to epilate.

When you use the appliance for the rst time, we advise you to try it

out on an area with only light hair growth. This helps you get accustomed to the epilation process.

For optimal epilation results, the hairs should not be longer than

10mm. Use one of the following methods if the hairs are longer than 10mm:

1 Shorten the hairs to a maximum length of 10mm with a trimmer.

Afterwards you can immediately start with epilation.

2 Shave the hairs completely. Then you can start to epilate after a few

days (minimum hair length 0.5mm necessary).

Your skin may become a little red and irritated the rst few times you

use the epilator. This phenomenon is absolutely normal and quickly disappears. As you use the appliance more often, your skin gets used to epilation, skin irritation decreases and regrowth becomes thinner and softer. If the irritation has not disappeared within three days, we advise you to consult a doctor. We advise you to epilate before you go to bed at night, as this allows

any skin irritation that may develop to diminish overnight.

Epilating with the cooling glove

Make sure your skin is clean, entirely dry and free from grease. Do not use any cream before you start to epilate.

1 Insert the appliance plug into the bottom of the appliance and put

the adapter in the wall socket.

2 Put the ice gel pad in the compartment of the cooling glove with

the transparent cover (Fig. 6).

Only use the ice gel pad in combination with the cooling glove.

3 Push your hand into the cooling glove and start cooling the area

you want to epilate (Fig. 7).

Do not leave the cooling glove on the same area for more than 2 minutes.

4 Select the desired speed to switch on the appliance (Fig. 8).

Select speed 1 for areas with little hair growth and for areas where

bones are located directly beneath the skin, such as knees and ankles.

Select speed 2 for larger areas with stronger hair growth.

5 Stretch your skin with your free hand to make the hairs stand

upright.

6 For optimal results, place the appliance perpendicularly onto the

skin with the on/off slide pointing forward. Move the appliance against the direction of hair growth at a moderate speed (Fig. 9).

Make sure both the epilating discs and the massaging element are in proper contact with the skin.

Make sure your skin is completely dry when you start to epilate.

7 Press the appliance lightly onto the skin.

If you are not completely satised with the epilation result, try moving the

epilator more slowly over your skin.

Epilating without cooling glove

If you do not want to use the cooling glove, for instance because you have grown accustomed to the sensation of epilation, you can also use the appliance without the cooling glove.

1 For optimal results, place the appliance perpendicularly onto the

skin with the on/off slide pointing forward. Then move the appliance against the direction of hair growth at a moderate speed (Fig. 9).

Epilating with the sensitive area cap

Your epilator comes with a sensitive area cap that reduces the number of active epilating discs. This makes the appliance suitable for epilating the more delicate areas of the body, such as the underarms and bikini line.

1 Put the sensitive area cap on the epilating head (Fig. 10).

The sensitive area cap only ts onto the appliance in one way.

2 Switch on the appliance. (Fig. 11)

We advise you to use speed 2.

3 Stretch the skin with your free hand.

4 For optimal results, place the appliance perpendicularly onto the

skin with the on/off slide pointing forward. Move the appliance against the direction of hair growth at a moderate speed.

Epilate your bikini line as shown in the gure (Fig. 12).

Epilate your underarms as shown in the gure (Fig. 13).

For a cool sensation, you can dab the area you have just epilated with

a cloth soaked in cold water.

5 Remove the sensitive area cap from the epilator after use.

Using the peeling glove

Use the peeling glove in the shower. Regular massages with the peeling glove may help to prevent ingrown hairs. Do not use the peeling glove immediately before or after epilation.

Cleaning and maintenance

Never rinse the adapter or the appliance itself with water. Do not use any corrosive detergents, scouring pads or cloths, petrol,

acetone etc. to clean the appliance.

Cleaning the cooling glove

1 Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged. 2 Remove the ice gel pad from the cooling glove. 3 Clean the cooling glove with a moist cloth after each use.

Make sure the outside of the ice gel pad is completely dry before you freeze it again.

Cleaning the epilating head

1 Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged. 2 Remove the epilating head (Fig. 14).

Press the release button (1) and pull the epilating head off the appliance (2).

3 Clean the epilating head, including the epilating discs and the plastic

housing, with the cleaning brush (Fig. 15).

4 For thorough cleaning, you can remove the massaging

element (Fig. 16).

5 You can also rinse the epilating head (not the appliance!) under the

tap to clean it more thoroughly (Fig. 17).

Never try to detach the epilating discs from the epilating head.

6 Place the epilating head on the appliance and press it onto the

appliance until it snaps home (‘click’) (Fig. 18).

The epilating head only ts onto the appliance in one way.

Cleaning the sensitive area cap

You can rinse the sensitive area cap under the tap.

Storage

Store the appliance and the accessories in the pouch.

Environment

Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste

at the end of its life, but hand it in at an ofcial collection point for

recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the

environment (Fig. 19).

If the ice gel pad is damaged, you can throw it away with the normal

household waste.

Troubleshooting

Reduced epilating performance.

The appliance does not work.

You moved the epilator in the wrong direction.

Make sure both the epilating head and the skin cooler are in proper contact with your skin during epilation.

Make sure your skin is entirely dry and free from grease. Do not put any cream, body milk or other skincare product on your skin before you start to epilate.

Make sure the socket you use is live. If you use a socket in a bathroom cabinet, you may need to switch on the light to activate the socket.

Make sure that the appliance is plugged in and switched on.

Place the epilating head on the appliance and press it onto the appliance until it snaps home (‘click’).

Advarsel

tyndere. Hvis en eventuel hudirritation ikke er forsvundet efter 3

dage, bør du søge læge.

Kontrollér altid shaverhovedet, før du bruger apparatet. Brug ikke

shaverhovedet, hvis folien eller trimmerne er beskadigede, da du kan risikere at komme til skade.

Elektromagnetiske felter

Klargøring

Nedfrysning af isgelé-puden

Læs disse instruktioner nøje, før du anvender kølehandsken (g. 2).

Sådan bruges apparatet

Generel information om epilering

Det er lettest at bruge epilatoren lige efter et kar- eller brusebad,

men huden skal være helt tør, inden du starter. Første gang apparatet bruges, anbefales det at begynde et sted med

let hårvækst. På denne måde vænner du dig gradvist til epileringen. Hårene bør ikke være længere end 10 mm, hvis du vil opnå

et optimalt resultat. Brug en af følgende metoder, hvis hårene er længere end 10 mm:

1 Klip hårene med en trimmer, så de er maks 10 mm lange. Derefter

kan du straks påbegynde epileringen.

2 Barbér hårene helt væk. Du kan derefter påbegynde epileringen efter

et par dage (hårene skal være min. 0,5 mm lange). Huden bliver måske lidt rød og irriteret de første par gange,

epilatoren anvendes. Dette er helt normalt og vil hurtigt forsvinde.

Efterhånden som huden vænner sig til behandlingen, bliver den mindre irriteret og hårene, der gror ud igen, vil være blødere og

tyndere. Hvis en eventuel hudirritation ikke er forsvundet efter 3

dage, bør du søge læge. Vi anbefaler, at du bruger epilatoren, før du går i seng om aftenen, så

eventuel hudirritation har tid til at dæmpes i løbet af natten.

Epilering med kølehandsken

Sørg for at huden er ren, helt tør og fri for fedtstoffer. Undlad at bruge nogen former for creme umiddelbart før epilering.

1 Sæt apparatstikket i kontakten i bunden af apparatet, og slut

adapteren til lysnettet.

2 Anbring isgelé-puden i rummet med det gennemsigtige låg på

kølehandsken (g. 6).

Brug kun isgelé-puden sammen med kølehandsken.

3 Stik hånden ned i kølehandsken, og begynd at afkøle det område, du

ønsker at epilere (g. 7).

Brug ikke kølehandsken på det samme område i mere end 2 minutter.

4 Tænd apparatet ved at vælge den ønskede hastighed (g. 8).

Vælg hastighed 1 til områder med sparsom hårvækst og områder,

hvor knoglerne sidder lige under huden, som f.eks. knæ og ankler. Vælg hastighed 2 til større områder med kraftigere hårvækst.

5 Stræk huden ud med den frie hånd, så hårene rejser sig. 6 For at opnå det bedste resultat skal du placere apparatet vinkelret

på huden, mens on/off-skydekontakten peger fremad. Bevæg

apparatet imod hårenes vækstretning ved moderat hastighed (g. 9).

Sørg for, at både pincetskiver og massageelement har fuld kontakt med

huden.

Sørg for, at huden er fuldstændig tør, når du begynder epileringen.

7 Tryk apparatet let mod huden.

Hvis du ikke er helt tilfreds med resultatet, så prøv at bevæge epilatoren

lidt langsommere over huden.

Epilering uden kølehandske

Epilatoren kan også anvendes uden kølehandsken, hvis du f.eks. har vænnet dig til følelsen af epilering.

1 For at opnå det bedste resultat skal du placere apparatet vinkelret

på huden, mens on/off-skydekontakten peger fremad. Bevæg derefter apparatet imod hårenes vækstretning ved moderat

hastighed (g. 9).

Epilering med præcisionskappen til følsomme kropszoner

Epilatoren leveres med en præcisionskappe til følsomme områder, som

reducerer antallet af aktive pincetskiver. Det gør apparatet velegnet til

epilering af de mere følsomme kropszoner såsom armhuler og bikinilinje.

1 Sæt præcisionskappen til følsomme områder på

epileringshovedet (g. 10).

Præcisionskappen kan kun påsættes på én måde.

2 Tænd for apparatet. (g. 11)

Det anbefales at vælge hastighed 2.

3 Stræk huden med din frie hånd. 4 For at opnå det bedste resultat skal du placere apparatet vinkelret

på huden, mens on/off-skydekontakten peger fremad. Bevæg apparatet imod hårenes vækstretning ved moderat hastighed.

Epilér bikinilinjen som vist på illustrationen (g. 12).

For at afkøle det epilerede område kan du duppe det med en kold,

våd klud.

5 Fjern præcisionskappen efter brug.

Brug af eksfolieringshandsken

Brug af eksfolieringshandsken i badet.

Regelmæssig massage med eksfolieringshandsken er en god hjælp til at undgå indgroede hår. Eksfolieringshandsken bør dog ikke anvendes

umiddelbart før eller efter epilering.

Rengøring og vedligeholdelse

Adapteren og selve apparatet må aldrig rengøres med vand. Brug aldrig ætsende rengøringsmidler, skuremidler, ståluldssvampe,

benzin, acetone eller lignende til rengøring af apparatet.

Rengøring af kølehandsken

1 Sørg for, at apparatet er slukket, og stikket er taget ud af

stikkontakten.

2 Tag isgelé-puden ud af kølehandsken. 3 Rengør kølehandsken med en fugtig klud efter hver brug.

Sørg for, at isgelé-pudens overade er helt tør, inden den nedfryses.

Rengøring af epilatorhovedet

1 Sørg for, at apparatet er slukket, og stikket er taget ud af

stikkontakten.

2 Tag epilatorhovedet af (g. 14).

Tryk på udløserknappen (1), og træk epilatorhovedet af apparatet (2).

3 Rengør epilatorhovedet inklusive pincetskiver og plastikkabinet

med rensebørsten (g. 15).

4 Ved grundig rengøring kan du fjerne massageelementet (g. 16). 5 Du kan også skylle epilatorhovedet (ikke apparatet!) under

vandhanen for at rengøre det mere grundigt (g. 17).

Prøv aldrig at fjerne pincetskiverne fra epilatorhovedet.

6 Sæt epilatorhovedet på apparatet og tryk, indtil det klikker på

plads (g. 18).

Epilatorhovedet kan kun påsættes på én måde.

Rengøring af præcisionskappen til følsomme kropszoner

Præcisionskappen kan skylles under vandhanen.

Opbevaring

Opbevar epilator og tilbehør i posen.

Miljøhensyn

Apparatet må ikke smides ud sammen med det almindelige

husholdningsaffald, når det til sin tid kasseres. Aevér det i stedet på en kommunal genbrugsstation. På den måde er du med til at beskytte miljøet (g. 19).

Hvis isgelé-puden beskadiges, kan du kassere den sammen med det

normale husholdningsaffald.

Mit Ihrem neuen Epilierer Satinelle ICE können Sie lästige Haare schnell, einfach und gründlich entfernen. Das Zusammenspiel von KeramikPinzettensystem, Kühlhandschuh und Massagesystem stellt eine wahre Revolution auf dem Gebiet der Epilation dar. Die beruhigende Wirkung von Eis und Massage auf der Haut macht das Epilieren mit dem neuen Satinelle ICE angenehmer und schmerzfreier denn je. Das Ergebnis ist seidenglatte Haut. Bei regelmäßiger Anwendung (alle 4 Wochen) reduziert sich der Haarwuchs um bis zu 50 %. Satinelle ICE ist für alle Körperpartien geeignet. Die schnell rotierenden Pinzetten erfassen selbst die kürzesten Härchen von nur einem halben Millimeter Länge und entfernen sie an der Wurzel. Anschließend bleibt Ihre Haut bis zu 4 Wochen glatt. Die nachwachsenden Härchen sind weich und fein.

Achtung

Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen Temperaturen unter 5 °C oder über 35 °C aus. Halten Sie das eingeschaltete Gerät fern von Kopfhaar, Wimpern und

Augenbrauen sowie von Kleidung, Fäden, Kabeln, Bürsten usw., um

Verletzungen und Beschädigungen zu vermeiden. Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht bei Hautreizungen, Krampfadern,

Ausschlag, Pickeln, (behaarten) Muttermalen oder Wunden, ohne vorher einen Arzt zu konsultieren. Gleiches gilt für Patienten mit geschwächter Immunabwehr, Diabetes, Hämophilie oder

Immuninsufzienz.

Nach den ersten Anwendungen kann Ihre Haut möglicherweise mit

Rötungen oder Reizungen reagieren. Dies ist völlig normal und sollte sich bald legen, sobald Sie sich an das Epilieren gewöhnt haben und die nachwachsenden Haare feiner und weicher werden. Klingt die Hautirritation innerhalb von 3 Tagen nicht wieder ab, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt konsultieren. Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Verwendung des Geräts den Ladyshave-

Aufsatz. Um Verletzungen zu vermeiden, sollten Sie den Ladyshave-

Aufsatz nicht benutzen, wenn Folie oder Schermesser beschädigt sind.

Elektromagnetische Felder

Dieses Philips Gerät erfüllt sämtliche Normen bezüglich

elektromagnetischer Felder (EMF). Nach aktuellen wissenschaftlichen

Erkenntnissen ist das Gerät sicher im Gebrauch, sofern es ordnungsgemäß und entsprechend den Anweisungen in dieser Bedienungsanleitung gehandhabt wird.

Für den Gebrauch vorbereiten

Das Eis-Gelkissen einfrieren

Lesen Sie diese Anweisungen sorgfältig durch, bevor Sie den

Kühlhandschuh verwenden (Abb. 2).

Bewahren Sie das Eis-Gelkissen außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf (Abb. 3).

Verwenden Sie keinesfalls ein beschädigtes Eis-Gelkissen (Abb. 4).

Verwenden Sie das Eis-Gelkissen nicht, wenn Sie überempndlich auf

Kälte reagieren.

1 Legen Sie vor dem Epilieren das Eis-Gelkissen ohne Kühlhandschuh

für mindestens 2 Stunden in ein Tiefkühlgerät oder Tiefkühlfach (***). (Abb. 5)

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Eis-Gelkissen vollkommen trocken ist, bevor Sie es einfrieren.

Tipp: Sie können das Eis-Gelkissen auch ständig im Tiefkühlgerät bzw. -fach aufbewahren.

Das Gerät benutzen

Allgemeine Hinweise zum Epilieren

Das Epilieren ist nach einem Dusch- oder Vollbad am leichtesten.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihre Haut vor der Anwendung vollkommen trocken ist.

Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal benutzen, empehlt es sich, es

zunächst an einer Stelle mit geringer Behaarung auszuprobieren, damit Sie sich an das Epilieren gewöhnen.

Für optimale Ergebnisse beim Epilieren sollten die Haare nicht länger

als 10 mm sein. Wenn die Haare länger als 10 mm sind, probieren Sie eine der folgenden Methoden aus:

1 Schneiden Sie das Haar mit einem Langhaarschneider auf eine Länge

von max. 10 mm vor. Anschließend können Sie mit dem Epilieren beginnen.

2 Rasieren Sie die Haare vollständig. Nach einigen Tagen können Sie mit

dem Epilieren beginnen (die Haare müssen mindestens 0,5 mm lang sein). Nach den ersten Anwendungen kann Ihre Haut möglicherweise mit

Rötungen oder Reizungen reagieren. Dies ist völlig normal und sollte sich bald legen, sobald Sie sich an das Epilieren gewöhnt haben und die nachwachsenden Haare feiner und weicher werden. Sollte die Hautirritation nicht innerhalb von 3 Tagen wieder abklingen, konsultieren Sie Ihren Arzt. Wir empfehlen das Epilieren vor dem Schlafengehen. So kann eine

möglicherweise auftretende Hautreizung über Nacht abklingen.

Mit dem Kühlhandschuh epilieren

Ihre Haut sollte sauber, fettfrei und absolut trocken sein, wenn Sie das Gerät benutzen. Verwenden Sie vor dem Epilieren keine Cremes.

1 Führen Sie den Gerätestecker in die Buchse im Gerät, und stecken

Sie den Adapter in eine Steckdose.

2 Legen Sie das Eis-Gelkissen in das transparente Fach des

Kühlhandschuhs ein (Abb. 6).

Benutzen Sie das Eis-Gelkissen nur in Kombination mit dem Kühlhandschuh.

3 Schieben Sie Ihre Hand in den Kühlhandschuh und kühlen Sie den

Hautbereich, den Sie epilieren möchten (Abb. 7).

Lassen Sie den Kühlhandschuh nicht länger als 2 Minuten auf einer Hautpartie liegen.

4 Wählen Sie zum Einschalten des Geräts die gewünschte

Geschwindigkeit (Abb. 8).

Wählen Sie Geschwindigkeitsstufe 1 für Hautpartien mit geringer

Behaarung und direkt über Knochen, z. B. Knie und Knöchel. Wählen Sie Geschwindigkeitsstufe 2 für größere Hautpartien mit

stärkerem Haarwuchs.

5 Straffen Sie die Haut mit Ihrer freien Hand, damit sich die Haare

aufrichten.

6 Für optimale Ergebnisse setzen Sie das Gerät senkrecht auf die

Haut, wobei der Ein-/Ausschalter nach vorne zeigt, und führen Sie das Gerät langsam gegen die Haarwuchsrichtung (Abb. 9).

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Pinzetten und das Massage-Element Kontakt zur Haut haben.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihre Haut vor der Anwendung vollständig trocken ist.

7 Drücken Sie das Gerät leicht auf die Haut.

Wenn Sie mit dem Ergebnis der Epilation nicht zufrieden sind, führen Sie das Epiliergerät etwas langsamer über Ihre Haut.

Ohne den Kühlhandschuh epilieren

Wenn Sie den Kühlhandschuh nicht verwenden möchten, weil Sie z. B. an das Epilieren gewöhnt sind, können Sie das Gerät auch ohne Kühlhandschuh benutzen.
