Highlights
BDP9700/98
Qdeo™ video processing
Qdeo™ video processing technology
produces quiet and natural video. Most types
of video have noise and artifacts that are very
distracting when viewed on a high definition
TV. Qdeo™ processing produces an image
that reduced noise, enhanced color, improved
contrast, fine detail and enhanced sense of
depth, resulting in a quiet, pleasing and
immersive viewing experience. Furthermore,
Qdeo™ technology works with all kinds of
video sources, including Blu-ray, DVD and
even low quality Internet video.

smartphone/tablet to control your home
theater via Philips MyRemote app.
Blu-ray 3D Disc playback
Full HD 3D provides the illusion of depth for a
heightened, realistic cinema viewing
experience at home. Separate images for the
left and right eyes are recorded in 1920 x 1080
full HD quality and alternately played on screen
at a high speed. By watching these images
through special glasses that are timed to open
and close the left and right lenses in
synchronization with the alternating images,
the full-HD 3D viewing experience is created.

TI Burr-Brown DACs
TI Burr-Brown is a well-known brand
synonymous with high performance and
quality, and it specializes in producing
audiophile-quality Hi-Fi components, like
Digital to Analog Converters (DACs). Philips
trusts and chooses TI Burr-Brown DACs,
which convert digital audio signals into analog
audio signals using 192KHz sampling rate with
24-bit resolution. Hence, more information is
captured from the original analog sound wave
form, resulting in much richer sound
performance.
Toroidal power supply
Philips home theater & Blu-ray player with
Smart TV Plus offer you an array of enhanced
features, including Net TV, SimplyShare &
MyRemote. Net TV brings a wide range of
online information & entertainment to your TV
for services like video-on-demand. With

Philips SimplyShare lets you share your music,
movies & photos from tablet, smartphone &
PCs to your home theater & Blu-ray player.
You can stream all entertainment directly from
your DLNA-enabled devices or use remote
control to access & stream media files from
your PC. For the best wireless experience,
install the SimplyShare app on your tablet/
The toroidal power supply is a ring-shaped
core power transformer. Using a separate
toroidal transformer and a linear power supply
to make sure there is a stable and noiseless
power source dedicated to analog audio
signals. This design can avoid any digital noise
coupling comparing to the usual design that has
both the digital video and analog audio signal
sharing the same power supply. The result is a
clean sound with little noise.
