appliance and save it for future reference.

Danger

- Warning: Keep the appliance and the adapter dry.

- This symbol means: Forbidden to clean under a
running tap (Fig. 2).

Warning

- The adapter contains a transformer. Do not cut
off the adapter to replace it with another plug, as
this causes a hazardous situation.

- Warning: Do not use this appliance close to a

bathtub, shower or other containers lled with water.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

- Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of
children aged less than 8 years.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.

Caution

- Do not use the shaver or the adapter if it is
damaged.

- Only use the adapter supplied to charge the appliance.

- If the adapter is damaged, always have it replaced with
one of the original type in order to avoid a hazard.

- Charge, use and store the shaver at a temperature
between 5°C and 35°C.

- Do not use the shaver in combination with pre-shave
lotions, creams, foams, gels or other cosmetic products.

General

- The adapter transforms 100-240 volts to a safe low
voltage of less than 24 volts.

Compliance with standards

- This Philips appliance complies with all standards

regarding electromagnetic elds (EMF). If handled

properly and according to the instructions in this
user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on

scientic evidence available today.

- This shaver complies with the applicable IEC safety
standards.

Charging

Make sure the shaver is switched off when you start to
charge it.

When you charge the shaver for the rst time or after a

long period of non-use, let it charge continuously for
12 hours. Charging normally takes approx. 8 hours.
Charge the appliance when the motor stops or starts
running slower.
For optimal performance, only charge the shaver when
the battery is low.

Do not leave the appliance connected to the mains for
more than 24 hours.

1 Put the micro USB plug in the shaver (Fig. 3).

2 Put the adapter in the wall socket.

, The charging light goes on to indicate that the

appliance is charging (Fig. 4).

Note: Charge the shaver for at least 8 hours but not more
than 24 hours.

3 Remove the adapter from the wall socket and pull

the micro USB plug out of the shaver when the
battery is fully charged (Fig. 5).

Note: The shaver does not run from the mains. When the
battery is empty, you have to recharge the battery before
you can use the shaver again.

Cordless shaving time

A fully charged shaver has a cordless shaving time of
approximately 30 minutes.

Using the appliance

Note: The shaver cannot be used directly from the mains.

1 Remove the protection cap.

Press the on/off button to switch on the

shaver (Fig. 6).

3 Move the shaving heads over your skin. Make both

straight and circular movements (Fig. 7).

Note: Shave on a dry face only. Do not use the shaver in
combination with gel, foam or water.

Note: Your skin may need 2 or 3 weeks to get accustomed
to the Philips shaving system.

4 Press the on/off button to switch off the shaver.

5 Clean the shaver after every shave (see chapter

‘Cleaning and maintenance’).

6 Put the protection cap on the shaver to prevent

damage and to avoid dirt accumulation in the
shaving heads (Fig. 8).

Note: Make sure that the lug of the protection cap covers
the release button.

Cleaning and maintenance

Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or
aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the
appliance.

Clean the shaver after every shave to guarantee better
shaving performance. For the best cleaning result, we
advise you to use Philips Cleaning Spray (HQ110). Ask
your Philips dealer for information.

Note: Philips Shaving Head Cleaning Spray (HQ110) may
not be available in all countries. Contact the Consumer Care
Centre in your country about the availability of this accessory.

After every shave: shaving unit and hair
chamber

1 Switch off the shaver, remove the adapter from

the wall socket and pull the micro USB plug out
of the shaver.

2 Clean the top of the appliance with the cleaning

brush supplied (Fig. 9).

3 Press the release button (1) and pull the shaving

unit in a straight upward movement off the shaver
(2). (Fig. 10)

4 Clean the inside of the shaving unit with the

cleaning brush (Fig. 11).

5 Clean the hair chamber with the cleaning

brush (Fig. 12).

6 Put the shaving unit back onto the shaver (Fig. 13).

Every two months: shaving heads

Note: Do not use cleaning agents or alcohol to clean the
shaving heads. Only use Philips Cleaning Spray (HQ110).

1 Switch off the shaver, remove the adapter from

the wall socket and pull the small plug out of the
shaver.

2 Press the release button (1) and pull the shaving

unit in a straight upward movement off the shaver
(2) (Fig. 10).

3 Turn the orange wheel anticlockwise (1) and

remove the retaining frame (2) (Fig. 14).

4 Remove and clean one shaving head at a time.

Each shaving head consists of a cutter and a
guard (Fig. 15).

Note: Do not clean more than one cutter and guard at a
time, since they are all matching sets. If you accidentally mix
up the cutters and guards, it may take several weeks before
optimal shaving performance is restored.

5 Remove the guard from the cutter (Fig. 16).

6 Clean the cutter with the short-bristled side of the

cleaning brush. Brush carefully in the direction of
the arrows (Fig. 17).

7 Clean the guard with the long-bristled side of the

cleaning brush (Fig. 18).

8 Put the cutter back into the guard after

cleaning (Fig. 19).

9 Put the shaving heads back into the shaving

unit (Fig. 20).

10 Put the retaining frame back into the shaving

unit (1) and turn the orange wheel clockwise
(2) (Fig. 21).

11 Put the shaving unit back onto the shaver (Fig. 13).

Storage

Keep the appliance dry.
Use and store the appliance at a temperature between
5°C and 35°C.

1 Switch off the shaver.

2 Put the protection cap on the shaver after use to

prevent damage and to avoid dirt accumulation in
the shaving heads (Fig. 8).

Note: Make sure that the lug of the protection cap covers
the release button.

Replacement

Replace the shaving heads every two years for optimal
shaving results.
Replace damaged or worn shaving heads with Philips
shaving heads only (HQ4+ for China or HQ56 for the
rest of the world).
For instructions on how to remove the shaving heads,

see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’, section ‘Every

two months: shaving heads’.

To retain the top performance of your shaver, make sure
you clean it regularly and replace its shaving heads at the
recommended time.

Shaving heads

- We advise you to replace your shaving heads every
two years. Always replace them with Philips shaving
heads only (HQ4 for China or HQ56 for the rest of
the world) (Fig. 22).

Cleaning

- Use Philips Cleaning Spray (HQ110) to clean the
shaving heads thoroughly.

Environment

- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal
household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in

at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing

this, you help to preserve the environment (Fig. 23).

- The built-in rechargeable battery contains substances
that may pollute the environment. Remove the
battery before you discard and hand in the appliance

at an ofcial collection point. Dispose of the battery
at an ofcial collection point for batteries. If you have

trouble removing the battery, you can also take the
appliance to a Philips service centre. The staff of
this centre will remove the battery for you and will
dispose of it in an environmentally safe way (Fig. 24).

Removing the rechargeable battery

Only remove the rechargeable battery when you
discard the shaver. Make sure the battery is completely
empty when you remove it.

1 Remove the adapter from the wall socket and pull

the micro USB plug out of the shaver.

2 Let the shaver run until it stops and undo the

screw at the back of the shaver (Fig. 25).

3 Remove the back panel of the shaver with a

screwdriver.

4 Remove the rechargeable battery.

Do not connect the shaver to the mains again after you
have removed the battery.

The shaving heads (cutters and guards) are not covered
by the terms of the international guarantee because they
are subject to wear.

Allgemeines

Normerfüllung

- Dieses Philips Gerät erfüllt sämtliche Normen

bezüglich elektromagnetischer Felder (EMF). Nach
aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen ist das

Gerät sicher im Gebrauch, sofern es ordnungsgemäß
und entsprechend den Anweisungen in dieser
Bedienungsanleitung gehandhabt wird.

- Dieser Rasierer entspricht den maßgebenden

IEC-Sicherheitsstandards.

Laden

Achten Sie darauf, dass der Rasierer ausgeschaltet ist,
wenn Sie mit dem Laden beginnen.
Beim erstmaligen Laden, und wenn der Rasierer längere
Zeit nicht benutzt wurde, beträgt die Ladedauer
12 Stunden. Normalerweise ist der Akku nach ungefähr
8 Stunden vollständig geladen.
Laden Sie das Gerät, wenn der Motor anhält oder
langsamer als gewöhnlich läuft.
Um eine optimale Leistung zu gewährleisten, laden Sie
den Rasierer nur bei niedrigem Ladestand auf.

Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht länger als 24 Stunden
ununterbrochen am Netz.

1 Stecken Sie den Micro-USB-Stecker in den

Rasierer (Abb. 3).

2 Stecken Sie den Adapter in die Steckdose.

, Die Ladeanzeige leuchtet auf und zeigt an, dass das

Gerät aufgeladen wird (Abb. 4).

Hinweis: Laden Sie den Rasierer mindestens 8 Stunden, aber
nicht länger als 24 Stunden auf.

3 Ziehen Sie den Adapter aus der Steckdose und den

Micro-USB-Stecker vom Rasierer, sobald der Akku
vollständig geladen ist (Abb. 5).

Hinweis: Der Rasierer kann nicht direkt am Stromnetz
betrieben werden. Wenn der Akku leer ist, müssen Sie ihn

auaden, bevor Sie den Rasierer erneut verwenden können.

Kabellose Rasierzeit

Mit einem vollständig geladenen Rasierer können Sie sich
bis zu 30 Minuten kabellos rasieren.

Das Gerät benutzen

Hinweis: Der Rasierer kann nicht direkt am Netz betrieben
werden.

1 Entfernen Sie die Schutzkappe.

2 Zum Einschalten des Rasierers drücken Sie den

Ein-/Ausschalter (Abb. 6).

3 Führen Sie die Scherköpfe mit geraden und

kreisenden Bewegungen über die Haut (Abb. 7).

Hinweis: Rasieren Sie nur bei trockener Haut. Verwenden Sie
den Rasierer nicht mit Gel, Schaum oder Wasser.

Hinweis: Es kann 2 bis 3 Wochen dauern, bis sich Ihre Haut
an das Philips Schersystem gewöhnt hat.

4 Zum Einschalten des Rasierers drücken Sie den

Ein-/Ausschalter.

5 Reinigen Sie den Rasierer sorgfältig nach jedem

Gebrauch (siehe Kapitel “Reinigung und Pege”).

6 Setzen Sie die Schutzkappe auf den Rasierer,

um Schäden und Schmutzansammlungen in den
Scherköpfen zu vermeiden (Abb. 8).

Hinweis: Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Lasche der
Schutzkappe die Entriegelungstaste abdeckt.

Reinigung und Wartung

Benutzen Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts keine
Scheuerschwämme und -mittel oder aggressive
Flüssigkeiten wie Benzin oder Azeton.

Reinigen Sie den Rasierer nach jeder Rasur, um eine optimale
Rasierleistung zu garantieren. Für die besten Reinigungs­ergebnisse empfehlen wir Ihnen, Philips Reinigungsspray
(HQ110) zu verwenden. Fragen Sie Ihren Philips Händler.

Hinweis: Das Reinigungsspray für Philips Scherköpfe (HQ110)
ist möglicherweise nicht in jedem Land erhältlich. Das Philips
Service-Center in Ihrem Land kann Ihnen Auskunft über die
Verfügbarkeit dieses Zubehörs geben.

Nach jeder Rasur: Schereinheit und
Haarauffangkammer

1 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, ziehen Sie den Adapter

aus der Steckdose und den Micro-USB-Stecker
vom Rasierer.

2 Reinigen Sie die Oberseite des Geräts mit der

beiliegenden Reinigungsbürste (Abb. 9).

3 Drücken Sie die Entriegelungstaste (1), und ziehen

Sie die Schereinheit mit einer Aufwärtsbewegung
vom Rasierer (2). (Abb. 10)

4 Reinigen Sie das Innere der Schereinheit mit der

Reinigungsbürste (Abb. 11).

5 Reinigen Sie die Haarauffangkammer mit der

beiliegenden Bürste (Abb. 12).

6 Setzen Sie die Schereinheit wieder auf den

Rasierer (Abb. 13).

Regelmäßig: Scherköpfe

Hinweis: Benutzen Sie weder Reinigungsmittel noch Alkohol
zum Reinigen der Scherköpfe. Verwenden Sie nur Philips
Reinigungsspray (HQ110).

1 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, ziehen Sie den Adapter

aus der Steckdose und den kleinen Stecker vom
Rasierer.

2 Drücken Sie die Entriegelungstaste (1), und ziehen

Sie die Schereinheit mit einer Aufwärtsbewegung
vom Rasierer (2) (Abb. 10).
