SYMPTOM :

Noise is audible in stand-by mode.

CURE : Additional to newsletter issue PA98.01.01:

In order to improve the distortion at maximum volume, capacitors
items 2210 and 2213 are changed to 4.7nF (4822 126 11714).

REMARKS :

03.02 TYPENUMBER(S): AJ3925
INFORMATION : From May 1998 onwards, the new CD board “CD97 MK2” and new

CD-drive “CD94V5” are used.
For the new generation a new Service Manual 4822 725 26193 will
be published.

REMARKS : The production change code of the new generation is “KT02”.

03.03 TYPENUMBER(S): AZ1111
INFORMATION : Correction to mechanical partslist:

The service codenumber of the Tuning Knob (pos.407) should read
4822 410 11843.

REMARKS :

03.04 TYPENUMBER(S): AZ1202, AZ1207, AZ1209

SYMPTOM :

CD does not function.
CURE : The copper track at capacitor item 2836 peels off.
REMARKS : Capacitor 2836 is fixed by glue from production week 9819 onwards.

On the Front board, the service codenumber of IC 7400 was changed
to 4822 209 16811. 4822 209 15839 can still be used except for /14
versions.

The service codenumber of the Tray-CD (pos. 437) should read

INFORMATION : Correction to mechanical partslist:

In the Exploded view diagram of the tape transport, the service
codenumber of the Eject Hook (pos. 74) should read
4822 403 70968.

INFORMATION : Correction to mechanical partslist:

The service codenumber of the Battery Spr ing (pos. 443) should read
4822 492 11566.

The service codenumber of the Ornamental Foils of blue versions are
wrongly stated.They should read:
