This breadth of content is far beyond a conventional FM
radio – whether you are looking for music, news, sport

Online Music Charts

Whatever your taste in music, you’ll discover a dedicated
online chart, updated every day and ready to immerse
you in a refreshing stream of the very best sounds from
your preferred musical genre. Unlike conventional radio,
you retain control over what you hear. You can often
skip to the next track and also see what the artist of the
next track is.

Personalized Internet Radio

Through your internet connection, you can view a vast
catalogue of artists, music styles and musical eras. By

Total Harmonic Distor tion (THD).

wOOx Technology

Philips patented wOOx Techonolgy ensures superior
bass results. The dual suspension bass radiator, together
with dedicated amplifier circuitry, is especially designed to
produce and handle high dynamic sound signals at very
low frequencies. Because of the dual suspension, the
excursion of the membrane can be extreme (see
illustration). This is in combination with the symmetrical
sandwich construction, provides for very low and precise
bass without noticeable distortion. The net effect of
using wOOx Technology is a tight bass sound that is
significantly "lower and louder" than conventional mini
shelf systems.

Bass & Treble Control

Bass & Treble control allows sound adjustment of high
and low frequencies to personal preferences.

MP3 Playback

Download MP3 songs from the Internet on a PC and record
them on a CD. This special "MP3-CD" can now be played on
this Audio CD Recorder. One MP3-CD can carry up to 12
hours of music. Our sets are designed to playback MP3-CDs
recorded with a bit-rate (quality level) between 32 kbps and
320 kbps. The set will also handle variable bit-rate recordings.

Plays CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs

The player offers 100% playback guarantee of CD, CD-R and
CD-RW discs over the entire lifetime of the player. Even CD­RW audio recordings on computers can be used.

Favorites

A fun, fast and easy way to bookmark and access all your
Favorite music. From the tracks of a CD/mp3PRO-CD, the
regular radio stations to the channels/stations offered by
our music services, all can be bookmarked as a Favorite at
the touch of the (UN)MARK button. By pressing
Favourites in any music source the list will be shown on
the display, and you are ready to select and play a new
Favorite.

AUX/Video Input

For connection of audio accessory pieces such as a LD or
DVD player, television, or external cassette deck.

Shuffle

Plays a CD in random order. On a mp3PRO-CD shuffle
can be used for the whole CD, by album, by ar tist, by genre
or by playlist.

Clock, Alarm and Sleeptimer

Set the alarm portion of a built-in digital clock to wake you
to music from your favorite CD or an AM/FM radio station
at any desired time of the day. Sleeptimer settings of 60,
45, 30 or 15 minutes.

3 Dim Display modes (including nite mode)
2 different display options showing different amounts of display
activity can be selected and 1 nite mode display which shows
minimal display activity and turns most of the lights off.
