Your Philips air cleaner is a very effective appliance which
improves the quality of the air you breathe in your house or
office. The appliance significantly reduces indoor air pollution
caused by pollen, dust, bacteria, viruses, moulds, smoke and
all kinds of other smells, such as cooking odours and traffic or
industry smells from outside.

When comparing air cleaners you will notice that suppliers use
a number of criteria to indicate the effectiveness of their
appliances. The standard that best reflects the effectiveness of
an air cleaner is CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate). In general,
an air cleaner with a high CADR will remove particles from the
air more quickly than an air cleaner with a low CADR.

How does the Philips air cleaner work?

The air cleaner sucks in air though its front and both sides. The
sucked-in air is filtered by the air cleaner. After filtering, clean
air is blown out from the top of the appliance. To be able to
remove even the smallest particles from the air, the air cleaner
has been equipped with a unique three-stage filter system.

1 Prefilter

The washable prefilter catches the larger airborne particles,
such as fluff, hairs, etc.

2 HEPA filter

The HEPA filter removes the smaller particles from the air. The
filter is made of glass fibres which are packed so closely
together that they prevent even very small particles from
passing through the filter. The same type of filter is also used in
most operating rooms in hospitals.

3 Active carbon filters

The final stage consists of two active carbon filters. Active
carbon is the only filter material that effectively absorbs most
gases that cause, among other things, odour nuisance.

Important

• Read the instructions carefully before you start using
the appliance.

• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other
liquid.

• Do not use the appliance outside or in a humid
environment.

• You can clean the appliance with a moist cloth.
Unplug the appliance before you do so.

• Do not touch any moving parts when you open the
appliance. Let the fan come to a halt by itself.

• Keep the cord away from hot objects.

• If the cord of this appliance is damaged, it may only
be replaced by an authorised Philips service centre,
since repair requires special tools and/or parts.

• Do not expose the smoke sensor to a direct source
of heat or very strong smells. For instance, do not
use the air cleaner as a cooking hood over your
cooker.

• Do not spray in the direction of the smoke sensor
with a spray can.

• When you leave the room for quite some time, switch
the ‘Auto’ setting off.

• The appliance influences the air circulation in the
room in which it is used. It is recommended not to
use the appliance next to an open fire.

Placing the air cleaner

• As a rule, the air cleaner
should be given a central
position and should either
be placed on the floor with
its back against the wall or
hung on the wall (fig. 2-4).

• Excess cord can be stored
at the back (I) of the
appliance (fig. 1).

• Never cover the air inlets or
outlet (fig. 5).

• When you are using a
heating device: position the
air cleaner in such a way
that the airflow caused by
the appliance coincides with
the convective airflow of the
heating device. You should
therefore place the air
cleaner next to the radiator
or other heating appliance
(fig. 6-7).

• It is possible to use more than one air cleaner in a room.
This is advisable if the room is very big and/or has an
irregular shape. In this case it is best to put both appliances
against the same wall, yet as far removed from each other
as possible.

• For proper cleaning of the air in a room, we advise you to
use one HR 4347 air cleaner in rooms with a surface area of
up to approx. 40 m

2

(100 m3).

• Particularly people who suffer from a respiratory allergy are
advised to put an air cleaner in the living room as well as in
the bedroom and to let both air cleaners run continuously.

Preparing the air cleaner for use

• Before you use the appliance for the first time: fill the
active carbon filters with the supplied carbon granules (see
‘Replacing the active carbon’). The white sticker that comes
with the granules is not used in combination with this type of
air cleaner; you can throw it away.
The replacement indicator does not yet have to be reset.

- Put the plug in the wall socket.
The pilot light above the on/off control (J), the digits on the
display (00:00) and the clock symbol a start blinking (this
will also happen after a power cut).
The display is unlit.

- Press the on/off control
(fig. 8).
The display lights up and the
appliance starts running at
speed 1.
The pilot light above the
on/off control burns
continuously to indicate that
the appliance is switched on.

Setting the air cleaner manually

- Switch the air cleaner on
(fig. 9).
The pilot light above the
on/off control comes on and
the display lights up.
The appliance starts running
at speed 1.

- Select speed 1, 2 or turbo by pressing the speed control (L)
(fig. 10).
The pilot lights indicate the speed selected.

• For quick air cleaning, select the turbo setting (fig. 11) and
switch to speed 2 after approximately 30 minutes.

• For a continuous supply of fresh, clean air in your room, run
the appliance continuously at speed 1 or 2.

‘Auto’ position

When set to the ‘Auto’ position, the air cleaner automatically
selects the speed which effectively removes most gases from
the air. It is best to set the air cleaner to the ‘Auto’ setting
before air pollution occurs. The gas sensor (R) in the appliance
registers the gas concentration in the room in which the
appliance is running.

Setting the ‘Auto’ position

- Switch the air cleaner on (fig. 13).
The pilot light above the on/off control comes on and the
display lights up.
The appliance starts running at speed 1.

- Press the ‘Auto’ control (K) (fig. 14).
If you select the ‘Auto’ position within three minutes after
switching the appliance on, the pilot light will turn orange
and blink for max. three minutes. During this time, the air
cleaner is measuring the air quality in the room.

• When the air is clean, the air cleaner switches to stand-by
position and the pilot light above the ‘Auto’ control turns
green (fig. 15).
The pilot light of the on/off control continues to burn.

• If the smoke sensor registers an increase in the smoke
concentration, the pilot light above the ‘Auto’ control turns
orange and the appliance automatically switches to speed 1,
2 or turbo (fig. 16).

• If you do not want the appliance to run in the ‘Auto’ position,
press the ‘Auto’ control once more.
The pilot light above the control will go out.

Setting the clock

• The clock must be (re)set when the air cleaner is connected
to the mains and each time the power supply to the
appliance has been cut off. In this case, the pilot light above
the on/off control, the clock symbol a and the digits on the
display (00:00) start blinking.

- Switch the air cleaner on (fig. 17).
The clock symbol and the digits on the display keep
blinking.
The display lights up.

- Press the ▲ or ▼ control to set the clock (fig. 18). If you
press the controls a little longer, the clock will move back or
forward more quickly.

- The time and the clock symbol a on the display stop
blinking (fig. 19).

- Press the ‘time setting’ control (M) to make the clock start
running (fig. 20).
The clock symbol a goes out. The colon starts blinking to
indicate that the clock is running.

Changing the set time

- Switch the air cleaner on (fig. 21).

- Press the ‘time setting’ control (M) (fig. 22).
The clock symbol a appears on the display.

- Reset the time by means of the ▲ or ▼ control (fig. 23) (see
‘Setting the clock’).

- Finally press the ‘time setting’ control (M) again (fig. 24).

Timer

• With the timer you can programme how long and at what
speed you want the air cleaner to run. You can, for instance,
use the timer if you want the air cleaner to run when
someone is smoking and/or a few hours after someone has
been smoking.
The timer may also come in handy if you use the air cleaner
every day for the same period of time.
After you have activated the timer, it will count down the set
time and finally switch the air cleaner off.

• You can programme either the ‘Auto’ position or a particular
speed.

Setting/changing the timer

- Switch the air cleaner on (fig. 25).

- Select the desired speed by pressing the ‘Auto’ setting
control or setting the speed control to the desired position.

- Press the ‘time setting’ control (M) twice (fig. 26).
On the display, the ‘OFF’ symbol appears as well as 0:00 or
the already programmed operating time.

- Press the ▲ or ▼ control to set the operating time (accurate
to a minute) (fig. 27).

- Press the ‘time setting’ control (M) (fig. 28).
The ‘OFF’ symbol remains visible and the timer symbol Ò
appears on the display.
After three seconds the colon starts blinking to indicate that
the set operating time is being counted down.

• Note that if the timer symbol Ò starts blinking and/or goes
out while you are setting the timer, the timer has not

been

set properly. In this case, set the timer again.

- When the set period has elapsed, the air cleaner switches
off. The light in the display and the pilot light above the
on/off control go out and the ‘OFF’ and timer symbol Ò
disappear.

• The programme is stored in the memory and can be
recalled by means of the ‘time setting’ control when the
appliance is used again (see ‘Recalling the timer setting).

Switching the timer off

- To switch the timer off or to
interrupt the timer
programme, press the ‘time
setting’ control for at least 3
seconds (fig. 29).
The clock appears on the
display.

Recalling the timer setting

If you have previously programmed an operating time, you can
quickly and easily recall this programme and use it again:

- Switch the air cleaner on (fig. 30).

- Press the ‘time setting’ control (M) for at least 3 seconds
until the ‘OFF’ symbol and the timer symbol Ò appear on the
display (fig. 31).
The previously programmed operating time appears and the
timer starts running.

Viewing the clock while the timer is running

You can view the clock while
the timer is counting down by
pressing the ‘time setting’
control (M) once (fig. 32). The
clock then appears on the
display for a few seconds. After
that, the timer reappears.

Opening the air cleaner

Note that the front of the air cleaner has been provided with an

automatic safety lock which makes it impossible for you to
open the appliance while it is running. The automatic safety
lock also ensures that you cannot switch the appliance on
when the front has been removed.

- Switch the air cleaner off
(fig. 33).

- Remove the front of the
appliance by pulling it
towards you on one side (fig.

34).

NB: Never press against
the control panel when
you are opening the air
cleaner (fig. 35).

Cleaning the prefilter

Clean the prefilter at least once every two months and more
often if the appliance becomes noisier or if it is used in a room
in which people smoke.

- Remove the prefilter (fig. 36).

- Clean the prefilter by washing it (fig. 37) or vacuum cleaning
it.

- If you have used washing-up liquid, rinse the filter with clean
water (fig. 38).

- Let the filter dry naturally (fig. 39) before you put it back into
the appliance.

Checking/replacing the HEPA filter

- To check if the HEPA filter needs to be replaced, compare
the colour of the HEPA filter with the shades on the HEPA
filter replacement indicator (fig. 40).

- If the colour of the filter corresponds to the darkest shade on
the HEPA filter replacement indicator, replace the HEPA
filter (fig. 41).

- New HEPA filters are available from your retailer under
number HR 4940.

Replacing the active carbon granules

• Remove and replace the
active carbon when the pilot
light of the replacement
indicator (Q) starts to blink
(at first) or burns
continuously (later).
Do not forget to reset the
filter replacement indicator
(see ‘Reset active carbon
replacement indicator’):

- Remove the active carbon
filters (fig. 42).

- Carefully open the top of the active carbon filter (fig. 43).

- Throw the foam pad and the used carbon in the dustbin
(fig. 44).

- Take a new container of carbon granules, cut off the plastic
projections (fig. 45) and remove the lid (fig. 46).

- Place the filter upside down
onto the new container of
carbon granules and snap
the corners onto each other
(fig. 47).

- Turn the container with the filter on top of it around with both
hands (fig. 48). Shake the granules into the filter and make
sure they are distributed evenly (fig. 49).

- Remove the plastic container and put a new foam pad onto
the active carbon (fig. 50)

- Close the top of the filter again (fig. 51).

- Repeat this procedure for the second carbon filter.

- New carbon granules are available from your retailer under
number HR 4941.

Resetting the active carbon replacement indicator

After you have replaced the active carbon, the replacement
indicator must be reset:

- Switch the air cleaner on (fig. 52).

- Press the reset control (P) for at least 3 seconds (fig. 53).
The pilot light comes on or keeps burning for 3 seconds and
then goes out to show that the indicator has been reset.

Automatic cut-out to prevent overheating

To prevent damage to the appliance due to overheating and to
limit the risks, the automatic cut-out ensures that the motor is
switched off when it becomes too hot.
To indicate that the appliance is still switched on and
connected to the mains, the pilot light of the on/off control will
continue to burn.
If this happens:

- Switch the air cleaner off.

- Unplug the air cleaner.

- Allow the appliance to cool down (approx. 15 minutes).

- Remove the front of the appliance. Make sure that the filters
are not covered or blocked and that the airflow is not
obstructed.

- Check if the fan is able to
rotate freely by turning it with
your hand (fig. 54).

- Close the appliance. Put the
plug in the wall socket and
switch the appliance back
on.

If the automatic cut-out is
activated repeatedly, we advise
you to take your appliance to
your dealer for a technical
inspection.

Votre purificateur d’air Philips améliore considérablement la
qualité de l’air que vous respirez à la maison ou sur votre lieu
de travail. Il permet une diminution efficace de la pollution due
aux pollens, poussières, bactéries, virus, moisissures, fumées
de cigarette, ainsi que de nombreuses odeurs ménagères et
des odeurs provenant de l’extérieur (circulation, déchets
industriels, etc.).

En comparant les purificateurs d’air, on constate que les
fabricants utilisent de nombreux termes pour démontrer
l’efficacité de leurs produits. Mais ce qui caractérise le mieux
l’efficacité d’un purificateur d’air est le CADR (volume
d’épuration d’air/heure). Plus le CADR d’un purificateur d’air
est élevé et plus rapidement il élimine les impuretés en
suspension dans l’air.

Comment fonctionne le purificateur Philips ?

Le purificateur d’air absorbe l’air de la pièce et le dirige sur le
système filtrant. Après purification, l’air est rejeté à nouveau
vers le plafond de la pièce.
Pour le retrait optimal des gaz et des particules de l’air,
l’appareil emploie un filtre élaboré de purification d’air à trois
étages.

1 Préfiltre

Le préfiltre retient les plus grosses particules de poussière
flottant dans l’air, telles que les peluches et les cheveux.

2 Filtre HEPA (pour matières en suspension)

Ce filtre extrait toutes les petites particules en suspension dans
l’air. Il est en fibres de verre étroitement emmêlées pour que
les particules ne le traversent pas.
On utilise des filtres semblables dans la plupart des blocs
opératoires d’hôpitaux.

3 Filtre à charbon actif

Le dernier filtre est le filtre à charbon actif.
Le charbon actif est la seule matière pouvant absorber
efficacement les gaz.

• Avant d’utiliser l’appareil, lisez ces instructions en
vous reportant aux illustrations. (Voir aussi la page 3
de la brochure).

• Ne plongez pas l’appareil dans l’eau ou d’autres
liquides.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil en plein air ou dans un milieu
humide.

• Nettoyez l’appareil avec un chiffon humide. Retirez
d’abord la fiche d’alimentation de la prise murale.

• Lorsque vous démontez l’appareil : ne touchez pas
les pièces mobiles.
Laissez le ventilateur s’arrêter à son propre rythme.

• N’utilisez que des filtres Philips d’origine.

• Ne bouchez pas l’orifice d’admission d’air ni les
grilles de sortie d’air. Ne placez pas l’appareil sur
une surface souple telle qu’un lit ou un canapé.

• Maintenez le cordon d’alimentation à l’écart des
surfaces chaudes.

• Si le cordon d’alimentation de l’appareil est
endommagé, il ne doit être remplacé que par Philips
ou un Centre Service Agréé, car des pièces et des
outils spéciaux sont nécessaires.

• N’exposez pas le capteur de fumée directement à
une source de chaleur ou à de fortes odeurs. Par
exemple, n’utilisez pas le purificateur d’air comme
dispositif aspirant au-dessus de la cuisinière.

• L’appareil a une influence sur la circulation de l’air
dans la pièce. En général, il n’est pas conseillé de le
placer près d’un foyer à flammes découvertes ou une
cuisinière à gaz.

• N’orientez pas un pulvérisateur d’aérosol vers le
capteur de fumée.

• Déconnectez la fonction « Auto » si vous quittez
pour longtemps la pièce où se trouve l’appareil.
Conservez ces instructions pour les consulter
ultérieurement.

Mise en place

• En général, il est conseillé
de placer le purificateur d’air
près du lieu où des gens
fument pour empêcher que
la fumée se disperse.
L'appareil peut être placé
sur le sol contre le mur ou
fixé au mur à hauteur
d’homme (fig. 2-4).

• Vous pouvez ranger

l'excedent de cordon au dos
de l'appareil (fig.1).

• Ne bouchez jamais les
orifices d’admission et de
sortie d’air (fig. 5).

• Quand vous faites
fonctionner des appareils de
chauffage : placez le
purificateur d’air de telle
sorte que le courant d’air
qu’il produit coïncide avec le
courant d’air de convection
que produit la source de

chauffage. Cela signifie qu’il faut placer le purificateur d’air
près du radiateur ou de la source de chauffage (fig. 6 et 7).

• On peut aussi placer plusieurs purificateurs d’air dans la
même pièce. Ceci est particulièrement conseillé si la pièce
est très grande et/ou a une forme irrégulière. Dans ce cas,
vous devez placer ces appareils le plus loin possible l’un de
l’autre mais toujours contre le même mur.

• Pour une efficacité optimale il est conseillé d'utiliser votre
purificateur d'air HR4347 dans une pièce dont la surface
n'excède pas 40 m2 (100 m3 environ).

• Pour les personnes souffrant d'allergies respiratoires nous
vous conseillons d'installer un appareil dans le salon et un
dans la chambre à coucher et de les laisser fonctionner en
permanence.

Préparation à l’emploi

• Avant la première utilisation : Remplissez les filtres à
charbon avec les granulés fournis. Veuillez vous reporter au
paragraphe « Remplacement des granulés des filtres».
Le bouton de remise à zéro n'a pas besoin d'être activé.

- Branchez l'appareil.
Le voyant lumineux (J) au-dessus du bouton marche/arrêt,
les chiffres (00:00) et le symbole d’horloge a commencent
à clignoter.(Cela se produit aussi en cas de panne de
courant).
L’affichage n’est pas éclairé.

- Appuyez sur le bouton
marche/arrêt (fig. 8).
Le voyant lumineux s’allume
ainsi que l’affichage.

- Choisissez la vitesse 1, 2 ou « turbo » en appuyant sur le
réglage de vitesse (L) (fig. 10).
Les indicateurs lumineux signalent la vitesse choisie.

• Pour une purification rapide de l’air, réglez d’abord à la
vitesse « turbo » (fig. 11). Après environ une demi-heure,
réglez le commutateur à la vitesse 2.

• Pour garder constamment un air propre dans votre pièce,
vous pouvez faire fonctionner l'appareil en permanence sur
la vitesse 1 ou 2, selon la taille de la pièce.

Fonction « Auto »

La fonction « Auto » règle automatiquement la vitesse optimale
pour éliminer efficacement les particules indésirables. Si l’on
utilise la fonction « Auto », le mieux est de la mettre en marche
avant que la pièce ne soit polluée par des fumées ou autres.
Le capteur intégré (R) détecte la concentration de pollution
dans la pièce où l’on a placé le purificateur d’air.

Réglage de la « fonction auto »

- Mettez l’appareil en marche (fig. 13)

- Appuyez sur le bouton « Auto » (K) (fig. 14).
Si vous avez choisi « Auto » les trois premières minutes
après avoir mis l’appareil en marche, le voyant lumineux «
Auto » clignote pendant trois minutes.
Pendant ce temps le capteur mesure le niveau de pollution
de l’air de la pièce.

• Lorsque l'air de la pièce est purifié, le purificateur d’air
passe en position d’attente et l’indicateur « Auto » passe au
vert (fig. 15).
Le voyant lumineux au-dessus du bouton marche/arrêt reste
allumé.

• Si le capteur relève une augmentation de concentration de
pollution ou de fumée, le voyant « Auto » reste à l’orange et
l’appareil commutera automatiquement à la vitesse 1, 2 ou
turbo (fig. 16).

• Si vous souhaitez quitter la fonction « auto », appuyez de
nouveau sur le bouton « Auto ». Le voyant lumineux au­dessus de ce bouton s’éteint.

Comment régler l’horloge

• Quand vous branchez le purificateur d’air sur le secteur
(ainsi qu’après une panne d’électricité) l’horloge doit être
réglée.
Le voyant lumineux au-dessus du bouton marche/arrêt, le
symbole de l’horloge, a le symbole d’horloge et les chiffres
(00:00) clignotent.

- Mettez l’appareil en marche (fig. 17).

- Appuyez sur le bouton ▲ ou le bouton ▼ pour régler l’heure
(fig. 18). Les chiffres se déroulent plus vite si vous appuyez
le bouton et le maintenez enfoncé.

- L’heure et le symbole de l’horloge a ne clignotent plus
(fig. 19).

- Appuyez sur le bouton « réglage de l’heure » (M) (fig. 20).
Le symbole de l’horloge a s’éteint. Les deux points
clignotent pour indiquer que l’horloge fonctionne.

Comment changer l’heure réglée sur l’horloge

- Mettez l’appareil en marche (fig. 21)

- Appuyez sur le bouton « réglage de l’heure » (M) (fig. 22).
Le symbole d’horloge a devient visible.

- Appuyez sur les bouton ▲▼ pour régler de nouveau l’heure
(fig. 23). (Voir « Réglage de l’heure du jour »).

- Enfin appuyez sur le bouton « réglage de l’heure » (M)
(fig. 24).

Minuterie

• La minuterie vous permet de régler la durée et la vitesse à
laquelle vous souhaitez faire fonctionner le purificateur d’air.
Vous pouvez utiliser cette fonction, par exemple si vous
voulez utiliser le purificateur pendant un certain nombre
d’heures dans une pièce enfumée. Vous pouvez aussi
utiliser la minuterie lorsque vous utilisez souvent l’appareil
aux mêmes heures.
Après la sélection, la minuterie arrêtera le purificateur d’air
automatiquement.

• Vous pouvez programmer également le purificateur d’air sur
la fonction « Auto » ou à une vitesse de votre choix.

Comment régler ou modifier le réglage de la minuterie

- Mettez l’appareil en marche (fig. 25).

- Choisissez la vitesse voulue. (« Auto » ou au moyen du
réglage manuel de vitesse).

- Appuyez deux fois sur le bouton « réglage de l’heure » (M)
(fig. 26).
Le symbole « OFF » (arrêt) s’allume et l’affichage indique
0:00 ou la durée de fonctionnement préréglée.

- Appuyez sur le bouton ▲ ou ▼ pour régler la durée de
fonctionnement à une minute près (fig. 27).

- Appuyez sur le bouton « réglage de l'heure » (M) (fig. 28).
Le symbole « OFF » (arrêt) reste visible. Le symbole de la
minuterie Ò s’allume.
Après 3 secondes les deux points se mettent à clignoter
pour indiquer que la minuterie effectue le compte à rebours
à partir du temps réglé.

• Remarque : si le symbole de la minuterie Ò commence à
clignoter et/ou a disparu, cela indique que le réglage n’a pas
réussi. Si cela se produit, réglez la minuterie de nouveau.

- Quand la durée préréglée est écoulée, le purificateur d’air
s’arrête. L’éclairage de l’affichage, le voyant lumineux au­dessus du bouton marche/arrêt, le symbole « OFF » (arrêt)
et le symbole de la minuterie Ò s’éteignent.

• Après avoir interrompu la minuterie, le programme reste en
mémoire. Vous pouvez réactiver le programme à l’aide du
bouton de réglage de temps (M). (Voir le paragraphe «
Réglage rapide de la minuterie ».)

Comment arrêter la minuterie

- Pour arrêter la minuterie
manuellement, appuyez et
maintenez le bouton (M) de
réglage de la minuterie
pendant trois secondes au
moins (fig. 29). L’heure
apparaîtra sur l'afficheur.

Réglage rapide de la minuterie

Si vous aviez déjà programmé l’appareil, vous pouvez utiliser
ce réglage rapidement et simplement :

- Mettez l’appareil en marche (fig 30).

- Appuyez sur le bouton (M) de la minuterie et maintenez-le
appuyé (pendant au moins 3 secondes) jusqu’à ce que «
OFF » et le symbole de minuterie Ò s’allument de nouveau
(fig 31).
Le réglage programmé devient visible et le compte à
rebours commence.

Observer l’horloge pendant que la minuterie compte à
rebours

Vous pouvez observer l’heure
pendant que la minuterie
compte à rebours en appuyant
une fois sur le bouton (M) de

L’heure normale s’affichera

Ouverture du panneau avant

Remarque : Le panneau avant est pourvu d’une sécurité

automatique. Cette sécurité empêche de retirer le panneau
avant si le purificateur d’air est encore en marche.
Elle empêche entre autre la mise en marche du moteur lorsque
le panneau est retiré ou mal positionné.

- Eteignez l’appareil (fig. 33).

- Retirez le panneau avant,
avec le préfiltre (fig. 34).

Nettoyage du préfiltre en mousse

Retirez et nettoyez le préfiltre au moins tous les deux mois
voire plus si l'environnement de travail est très enfumé.

- Retirez le préfiltre (fig.36).

- Lavez-le (fig. 37), ou dépoussièrez-le avec un aspirateur.

- Si le filtre est lavé avec un détergent, rincez-le à l’eau
chaude propre (fig. 38).

- Laissez le filtre sécher à l’air avant de le remonter (fig. 39).

Remplacement du filtre HEPA

- Pour savoir si le filtre HEPA a besoin d'être changé,
comparez la couleur du filtre avec celle de l'indicateur
(fig.40).

- Si la couleur du filtre correspond à la couleur la plus foncée,
remplacez-le (fig.41).

- Les filtres HEPA sont disponibles chez votre distributeur ou
Centre Service Agréé Philips sous le numéro HR 4940.

Remplacement des granulés des filtres à charbon

• Retirez les filtres à charbon
(fig. 42) quand l’indicateur
de remplacement du filtre
(Q) commence à clignoter
ou reste allumé en
permanence. N’oubliez pas
de remettre à zéro
l’indicateur quand vous avez
fini. (Voir « Remise à zéro
de l’indicateur de
remplacement des filtres à
charbon »).

- Retirez le couvercle perforé, avec précaution (fig. 43).

- Jetez l’écran de mousse et les vieux granulés usagés
(fig. 44)

- Prenez un container de granulés de charbon neuf, coupez
les oreillettes sur le côté (fig. 45) et retirez le couvercle de
protection (fig. 46).

- Placez le coffret filtrant à
l'envers sur le container de
granulés (Clic!) (fig. 47).

- Retournez l'ensemble pour faire passer tous les granulés de
charbon dans le coffret filtrant (fig. 48 ). Tapotez et secouez
le boîtier filtrant pour tasser le contenu (fig. 49).

- Placez un nouvel écran de mousse au-dessus des granulés
de charbon (fig. 50).

- Réajustez le couvercle perforé (fig. 51).

- Procédez de même pour l’autre filtre à charbon.

- Vous trouverez de nouveaux granulés de charbon chez
votre distributeur ou Centre Service Agréé Philips sous le
numéro HR4941.

Remise à zéro de l’indicateur de remplacement des filtres
à charbon

Après avoir remis les filtres à charbon, il faut remettre à zéro
l’indicateur correspondant :

- Mettez l’appareil en marche (fig. 52)

- Appuyez sur le bouton (P) de remise à zéro des filtres à
charbon (fig. 53) et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant au
moins 3 secondes. Le témoin lumineux s’allume un
moment puis s’éteint pour indiquer que la remise à zéro a
bien été effectuée.

Dispositif automatique de sécurité contre la surchauffe

Pour prévenir tous dommages et réduire les risques, le moteur
du ventilateur se coupe s’il chauffe trop. Pour indiquer que
l’appareil est encore allumé et connecté au secteur, le voyant
lumineux reste allumé.
Si cela se produit :

- Arrêtez l’appareil.

- Retirez la fiche de la prise de courant.

- Attendez que le moteur refroidisse (env. 15 minutes).

- Retirez le panneau avant. Vérifiez que les filtres ne sont pas
bouchés et que rien n’obstrue l’écoulement de l’air.

- Vérifiez que le ventilateur peut tourner librement à la main
(fig. 54).

- Fermez l’appareil.
Rebranchez et mettez en
marche.

Si le dispositif automatique

déclenche à nouveau, portez
votre appareil chez votre

Reine Luft in Ihrem Haus ist eine Voraussetzung bei der
Vorbeugung gegen Allergien der Atemwege. Ihr Philips
Luftreiniger hilft Ihnen, indem er wirksam Schwebstoffe aus der
Luft entfernt. Dazu zählen Hausstaub, Pollen, Allergene von
Haustieren, sowie Viren, Bakterien und Schimmelsporen.

Beim Vergleich zwischen verschiedenen Luftreinigern werden
Sie bemerken, daß die Hersteller unterschiedliche Begriffe
verwenden, um die Wirkung Ihrer Geräte zu beschreiben. Das
beste Maß für die Leistung eines Luftreinigers ist die CADR
(Clean Air Delivery Rate = Luftreinigungsrate). Im allgemeinen
hält ein Luftreiniger mit hoher CADR in einem Raum gleicher
Größe Schwebstoffe schneller zurück als ein Luftreiniger mit
niedrigerer CADR.

Die Wirkweise des Philips Luftreinigers

Der Luftreiniger saugt die Luft auf seiner Vorderfront und auf
beiden Seiten an. Die eingesaugte Luft wird durch den
Luftreiniger gefiltert. Die gereinigte Luft wird an der Oberseite
in den Raum zurückgeblasen.
Um auch die kleinsten Partikel aus der Luft zu entfernen,
enthält das Gerät ein spezielles System aus drei Filtern:

1 Der Vorfilter

Der auswaschbare Vorfilter fängt die gröberen
Verunreinigungen der Luft auf, z.B. Flusen und Haare.

2 Der HEPA-Filter

Der HEPA-Filter entfernt die kleineren in der Luft verbliebenen
Partikel. Der HEPA-Filter besteht aus Glasfibern, die so dicht
gepackt sind, daß diese Partikel zwischen ihnen festgehalten
werden. Vergleichbare Filter werden in den meisten
Krankenanstalten verwendet.

3 Die Kohle-Filter

Den Abschluß bilden zwei Filter mit Aktivkohle. Dies ist das
einzige Material, das Gase, und damit auch störende Gerüche,
adsorbieren kann.

Wichtig

• Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig
durch, bevor Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal
verwenden.

• Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder in
andere Flüssigkeiten.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät weder im Freien noch in
Räumen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit.

• Sie können das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch
reinigen, auf das Sie bei Bedarf etwas Spülmittel
aufgetragen haben. Ziehen Sie zuvor stets den
Stecker aus der Steckdose.

• Berühren Sie bei offenem Gerät keine rotierenden
Teile. Warten Sie, bis der Rotor völlig stillsteht.

• Halten Sie das Netzkabel von heißen Oberflächen
fern.

• Wenn das Netzkabel defekt oder beschädigt ist, muß
es von einer durch Philips autorisierten Werkstatt
ersetzt werden, da für die Reparatur Spezial­Werkzeug und/oder spezielle Teile benötigt werden.

• Halten Sie den Gas-Sensor am Gerät von Heizquellen
und von Quellen starker Gerüche fern. Benutzen Sie
das Gerät z.B. nicht anstelle einer
Dunstabzugshaube.

• Richten Sie Sprühdosen nie direkt auf den Gas­Sensor.

• Schalten Sie die automatische Regelung der
Gebläsestufe “AUTO” aus, wenn Sie den Raum für
längere Zeit verlassen.

• Das Gerät beeinflußt die Luftzirkulation im Raum.
Stellen Sie es niemals in Nähe eines offenen Feuers
auf.

Die Aufstellung des Geräts

• Im allgemeinen ist der
Luftreiniger zentral auf dem
Boden, mit der Rückseite
gegen eine Wand,
aufzustellen. Das Gerät
kann auch an einer Wand
hängend montiert werden
(Abb. 2 bis 4).

• Überschüssiges Netzkabel
läßt sich an der Rückseite

des Geräts (I) unterbringen
(Abb. 1).

• Verdecken Sie niemals die
Lufteinlaß- und Luftauslaß­öffnungen (Abb. 5).

• Wenn Sie Heizgeräte
verwenden, so achten Sie
darauf, daß der Luftstrom
des Luftreinigers mit dem
Luftstrom des Heizgerätes
übereinstimmt. Plazieren Sie
den Luftreiniger in der Nähe
der Heizquelle
(Abb. 6 und 7).

• Sie können auch mehr als einen Luftreiniger in einem Raum
aufstellen. Das empfiehlt sich besonders, wenn der Raum
sehr groß oder verwinkelt ist. Beide Geräte sind dann an der
gleichen Seite, soweit wie möglich von einander entfernt,
aufzustellen.

• Um die Raumluft gründlich zu reinigen, empfehlen wir den
Einsatz eines Philips Luftreinigers HR 4347 für Räume bis
ca. 40 m

2

bzw. 100 m3.

• Besonders für Allergiker ist es ratsam, sowohl im
Schlafzimmer wie im Wohnzimmer Luftreiniger aufzustellen
und ununterbrochen eingeschaltet zu lassen.

Der Gebrauch des Luftreinigers

• Wichtiger Hinweis: Füllen Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch
die Kohle-Filter mit dem beigefügten Kohle-Granulat. Vgl.
den Abschnitt “Austausch des Aktivkohle-Granulats”. Das
weiße Etikett, das dem Granulat beiliegt, wird für diesen
Gerätetyp nicht benötigt.
Der Reset-Schalter (P) ist vor dem ersten Gebrauch nicht zu
betätigen.

- Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.
Es blinken dann: die Kontrollampe des Geräteschalters (J),
die Zahlen auf dem Display
(00:00) und das Symbol der
Uhr a Diese Anzeigen
blinken auch nach einem
Stromausfall.
Das LCD-Display ist nicht
beleuchtet.

- Drücken Sie den
Geräteschalter (J) (Abb. 8).

Gebläse von Hand einstellen

- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein
(Abb. 9).
Die Kontrollampe über dem

LCD-Diplay (orange)
leuchten auf. Das Gerät
beginnt mit der niedrigen
Gebläsestufe 1 zu arbeiten.

- Wählen Sie mit dem Gebläseschalter (L) Gebläsestufe 2
(Abb. 10) oder turbo und zum Zurückschalten Gebläsestufe
1 . Die Kontrollampen zeigen die eingestellte Gebläsestufe
an.

• Zur schnellen Luftreinigung stellen Sie den Gebläseschalter
(G) auf Position turbo (Abb. 11) und schalten nach einer
halben Stunde auf Gebläsestufe 1 oder 2 zurück

• Um stets frische, reine Luft zu haben, empfiehlt es sich, je
nach Raumgröße und Luftbelastung, das Gerät
ununterbrochen bei Gebläsestufe 1 oder 2 zu betreiben.

Die Automatik “AUTO Control”

Mit Hilfe der Automatik sucht das Gerät selbsttätig die
Gebläsestufe, bei der die Gase am wirksamsten aus der Luft
entfernt werden. Der integrierte Gas-Sensor (R) mißt während
des Betriebs die Gaskonzentration im Raum.
Es ist ratsam, die Automatik einzuschalten, bevor die
Luftbelastung entsteht.

Die Automatik einstellen

- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein (Abb. 13).
Die Kontrollampe über dem Gerätesschalter (J) und das
LCD-Display (orange) leuchten auf, und das Gerät beginnt
mit Gebläsestufe 1 zu arbeiten.

- Drücken Sie den Schalter “AUTO” (K) (Abb. 14).
Haben Sie das Gerät erst bis zu 3 Minuten zuvor
eingeschaltet, so beginnt die Kontrollampe über dem
Schalter “AUTO” für maximal 3 Minuten orange zu blinken.
Während dieser Zeit prüft die Automatik die
Luftbeschaffenheit.

• Wenn die Luft sauber ist, schaltet die Automatik auf
Bereitschaft, und die Kontrollampe über dem Schalter
“AUTO” leuchtet kontinuierlich grün (Abb. 15).
Die Kontrollampe über dem Geräteschalter (J) leuchtet auf.

• Entdeckt der Gas-Sensor Gase bzw. Rauch, so leuchtet die
Kontrollampe über dem Schalter “AUTO” kontinuierlich
orange, und das Gerät wird, entsprechend der
Luftbelastung, automatisch auf die Gebläsestufe 1, 2 oder
turbo geschaltet (Abb. 16).

• Drücken Sie den Schalter “AUTO” erneut, wenn Sie die
Automatik abschalten wollen.
Die Kontrollampe über dem Schalter “AUTO” erlischt.

Die Uhrzeit einstellen

• Wenn Sie das Gerät an das Stromnetz angeschlossen
haben, aber auch nach jedem Stromausfall, muß die
aktuelle Uhrzeit eingegeben werden.Dies wird dadurch
angezeigt, daß die Kontrollampe über dem Geräteschalter
(J), sowie das Symbol a und die Ziffern (00:00) auf dem
LCD-Display blinken.

- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein (Abb. 17).
Das LCD-Display wird beleuchtet.

Die Anzeigen auf dem LCD-Display blinken weiter.

- Drücken Sie zum Einstellen der aktuellen Uhrzeit den
Schalter ▲ oder ▼ (Abb. 18). Zum schnellen Durchlauf der
Ziffern halten Sie den Schalter gedrückt.

- Lassen Sie den Schalter los, wenn die richtige Uhrzeit
angezeigt wird. Die Anzeigen hören auf zu blinken
(Abb. 19).

- Drücken Sie den Schalter (M) für die Zeiteingaben
(Abb. 20), um die Uhr in Gang zu setzen.
Das Symbol a erlischt. Der Doppelpunkt blinkt und zeigt
damit an, daß die Uhr läuft.

Die Uhrzeit ändern

- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein (Abb.21).

- Drücken Sie den Schalter (M) für die Zeiteingaben (Abb. 22)
Das Symbol a erscheint auf dem LCD-Display.

- Drücken Sie zum Einstellen der aktuellen Uhrzeit den
Schalter ▲ oder ▼ (Abb. 23). Siehe den Abschnitt “Die
Uhrzeit einstellen”.

- Drücken Sie den Schalter (M) für die Zeiteingaben (Abb.

24), um die Uhr in Gang zu setzen.

Die Zeitschaltuhr

• Mit der Zeitschaltuhr können Sie einstellen, wie lange und
bei welcher Gebläsestufe der Luftreiniger arbeiten soll. So
können Sie ihn z.B. auf einige Stunden einstellen, die das
Gerät arbeiten soll, während und nachdem jemand geraucht
hat.
Die Zeitschaltuhr ist auch nützlich, wenn Sie das Gerät oft
zur gleichen Zeit für die gleiche Zeitdauer betreiben wollen.
Nach Aktivierung der Zeitschaltuhr wird das Gerät nach
Ablauf der eingestellten Zeit (nach “count down”)
ausgeschaltet.

• Die Zeitschaltuhr läßt sich zusammen mit der Automatik
betreiben

Die Zeitschaltuhr programmieren

- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein (Abb. 25).

- Wählen Sie die gewünschte Gebläsestufe, entweder durch
Drücken des Schalters “AUTO” (K) oder durch die Wahl
einer Gebläsestufe am Gebläseschalter (L).

- Drücken Sie zweimal den Schalter (M) für die Zeitangaben
(Abb. 26).
Auf dem LCD-Display erscheinen die Anzeigen “OFF” und
0:00 oder eine bereits eingestellte Betriebsdauer.

- Drücken Sie zum Einstellen der gewünschten Betriebsdauer
den Schalter ▲ oder ▼ (Abb. 27) auf eine Minute genau.

- Drücken Sie jetzt den Schalter (M) für die Zeiteingaben
(Abb. 28).
Die Anzeige “OFF” bleibt sichtbar, und das Symbol Ò
erscheint auf dem LCD-Display.
Nach 3 Sekunden blinkt der Doppelpunkt und zeigt an, daß
die Zeitschaltuhr läuft.

• Hinweis: Wenn das Symbol Ò im Verlauf der Eingabe blinkt
oder erlischt, ist die Einstellung mißlungen. Beginnen Sie
erneut, die Zeitschaltuhr zu programmieren.

- Nach Ablauf der eingestellten Zeit wird das Gerät
automatisch ausgeschaltet. Das Display erlischt, ebenso die
Kontrollampe über dem Geräteschalter (J), die Anzeigen
“OFF” und Ò.

• Die eingegebene Betriebsdauer bleibt erhalten und kann
durch Drücken des Schalters (M) zur erneuten Verwendung
abgerufen werden. Vgl. den Abschnitt “Schnellabruf der
Zeitschaltuhr”.

Die Zeitschaltuhr vorzeitig
ausschalten

- Drücken Sie den Schalter
(M) wenigstens 3
Sekunden lang (Abb. 29).
Auf dem LCD-Display
erscheint die aktuelle
Uhrzeit.

Schnellabruf der Zeitschaltuhr

Die zuvor eingestellte Betriebsdauer läßt sich schnell und
bequem erneut eingeben:

- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein (Abb. 30).

- Drücken Sie den Schalter (M) wenigstens 3 Sekunden lang,
bis die Angabe ”OFF” und das Symbol Ò auf dem LCD­Display erscheinen (Abb. 31).

Die aktuelle Uhrzeit ablesen

Sie können die aktuelle Uhrzeit
ablesen, während die
Zeitschaltuhr abläuft. Drücken
Sie hierzu einmal den Schalter
(M) (Abb. 32). Die Uhrzeit
erscheint für einige Sekunden;
die Anzeige springt dann auf
die restliche Betriebsdauer
zurück.

Öffnen des Luftreinigers

Die Frontplatte Ihres Luftreinigers ist zu Ihrer Sicherheit
verriegelt und kann nur abgenommen werden, wenn das Gerät
außer Betrieb ist. Die Sicherheitsverriegelung verhindert auch,
daß das Gerät bei geöffneter Frontplatte eingeschaltet wird.

- Schalten Sie das Gerät am
Geräteschalter (J) aus
(Abb. 33). Ziehen Sie zur
Sicherheit den Netzstecker
aus der Steckdose.

- Ziehen Sie die Frontplatte
an einer Seite auf sich zu
(Abb. 34).

Hinweis: Drücken Sie beim
Abziehen der Frontplatte
nicht auf das LCD-Display
(Abb. 35).

Reinigung des Vorfilters

Reinigen Sie den Vorfilter wenigstens einmal alle zwei Monate
oder häufiger, wenn das Gerät laut wird oder wenn es in einem
Raum mit Rauchern betrieben wird.

- Nehmen Sie den Vorfilter aus dem Gerät (Abb. 36).

- Spülen Sie den Vorfilter aus (Abb. 37), oder reinigen Sie ihn
mit dem Staubsauger.

- Haben Sie ein Spülmittel verwendet, so spülen Sie gründlich
mit klarem Wasser nach (Abb. 38).

- Lassen Sie den Vorfilter an der Luft trocknen (Abb. 39),
bevor Sie ihn wieder in das Gerät einsetzen.

Prüfen und/oder Ersetzen des HEPA-Filters

- Prüfen Sie, ob der HEPA-Filter ausgetauscht werden muß.
Vergleichen Sie die Farbe des HEPA-Filters mit den
Grautönen auf der Anzeige (F) “HEPA-Filter voll” (Abb. 40).

- Entspricht die Färbung des Filters dem dunkelsten Grauton
auf der Anzeige “HEPA-Filter voll”, so wechseln Sie ihn
gegen einen neuen HEPA-Filter aus (Abb. 41).

- Neue HEPA-Filter sind bei Ihrem Philips-Händler unter der
Type HR 4940 erhältlich.

Austausch des Aktivkohle-Granulats

• Die Aktivkohle muß
ausgetauscht werden, wenn
die Anzeige “Kohle-Filter
voll” blinkt, spätestens wenn
diese Anzeige kontinuierlich
leuchtet.
Denken Sie nach dem
Austausch daran, den
Reset-Schalter (P) zu
drücken! Vgl. den Abschnitt
“Den Reset-Schalter
bedienen”.

- Nehmen Sie die Aktiv-Kohlefilter aus dem Gerät (Abb. 42).

- Nehmen Sie vorsichtig den Deckel vom Kohlefilter (Abb. 43)

- Klopfen Sie das Granulat, zusammen mit der
Schaumstoffscheibe, in einen Mülleimer (Abb. 44).

- Schneiden Sie an einem neuen Kohle-Behälter die
Fortsätze aus Kunststoff ab (Abb. 45), und nehmen Sie den
Deckel ab (Abb. 46).

- Setzen Sie den Filter
umgekehrt auf den Kohle­Behälter, so daß die Ränder
einrasten (“Klick” – Abb. 47).

- Halten Sie Filter und Kohle-Behälter mit beiden Händen
fest, drehen Sie beide zusammen um (Abb. 48), und
schütteln Sie das Granulat in den Filter (Abb. 49), bis es
gleichmäßig verteilt ist.

- Nehmen Sie den leeren Kohle-Behälter vom Filter ab, und
legen Sie eine neue Schaumstoffscheibe auf (Abb. 50).

- Setzen Sie den Deckel wieder auf den Filter (Abb. 51).

- Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang mit dem zweiten Aktiv­Kohlefilter.

- Neues Granulat ist bei Ihrem Händler unter der Type HR
4941 erhältlich.

Den Reset-Schalter bedienen

Wenn die Kohle-Filter mit neuem Granulat gefüllt sind, müssen
Sie den Reset-Schalter (P) bedienen. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

- Schalten Sie das Gerät wieder ein (Abb. 52).

- Drücken Sie den Reset-Schalter wenigstens 3 Sekunden
lang (Abb. 53). Die Kontrollampe leuchtet für 3 Sekunden
oder kontinuierlich auf und zeigt damit an, daß die
Einstellung erfolgreich war.

Automatischer Überhitzungsschutz

Um Beschädigungen und Sicherheitsrisiken zu vermeiden, ist
der Luftreiniger mit einem Überhitzungsschutz ausgerüstet, der
das Gerät automatisch ausschaltet, wenn der Motor zu heiß
wird.
Die Kontrollampe zeigt an, daß das Gerät noch an das
Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.
Wenn der Überhitzungsschutz einsetzt:

- Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

- Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose.

- Lassen Sie den Motor ca. 15 Minuten abkühlen.

- Nehmen Sie die Frontplatte ab. Prüfen Sie, ob die Filter
verstopft sind oder der Luftstrom anderweitig blockiert ist.

- Prüfen Sie, ob der Rotor sich
mit der Hand ungehindert
drehen läßt (Abb. 54).

- Setzen Sie die Frontplatte
wieder auf. Stecken Sie den
Stecker in die Steckdose,
und schalten Sie das Gerät
wieder ein.

Schaltet der
Überhitzungsschutz das Gerät
häufiger aus, sollten Sie es
durch Ihren Händler technisch
überprüfen lassen.

Uw Philips luchtreiniger is een effectief apparaat, dat de
kwaliteit van de lucht die u inademt, in uw woning of kantoor,
verbetert. Het apparaat zorgt voor een aanzienlijke
vermindering van de luchtvervuiling binnenshuis veroorzaakt
door pollen (stuifmeel), stof, bacteriën, virussen, schimmels,
rook en diverse huishoudelijke geurtjes alsmede luchtjes van
buitenaf veroorzaakt door verkeer en industrie.

Wanneer u luchtreinigers met elkaar vergelijkt, zult u
regelmatig termen tegenkomen, die door de diverse
leveranciers worden gebruikt om aan te geven hoe effectief
hun producten zijn. De norm die de werking en de effectiviteit
van een luchtreiniger het best weergeeft, is de CADR-waarde
(Clean Air Delivery Rate). In het algemeen zal een luchtreiniger
met een hoge CADR-waarde sneller zwevende deeltjes uit de
lucht filteren dan een luchtreiniger met een lage CADR­waarde.

Hoe werkt de Philips luchtreiniger?

De luchtreiniger zuigt lucht via de zijkanten en de voorzijde
naar binnen. De ingezogen lucht wordt door de luchtreiniger
gezuiverd. Na het schoonmaken wordt de gereinigde lucht via
de bovenzijde weer de kamer ingeblazen.

Om zelfs de kleinste deeltjes uit de lucht te verwijderen,
gebruikt het apparaat een uniek 3- fasen filter:

1 Voorfilter

Het wasbare voorfilter vangt de grotere in de lucht zwevende
stofdeeltjes zoals pluizen, haartjes e.d.

2 HEPA-filter

Het HEPA-filter verwijdert de kleinere deeltjes, die in de lucht
zweven.
Het filter bestaat uit glasvezels die zo dicht tegen elkaar liggen,
dat de deeltjes er niet tussendoor kunnen. Soortgelijke filters
worden ook gebruikt in de meeste operatiekamers in
ziekenhuizen

3 Actieve koolstof-filters

De laatste fase bestaat uit twee actieve actieve koolstof-filters.
Actieve koolstof (Active Carbon) is het enige filtermateriaal dat
op effectieve wijze de meeste gassen kan adsorberen die o.a.
stankoverlast veroorzaken.

Belangrijk

• Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing zorgvuldig voordat u het
apparaat in gebruik neemt.

• Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of in een andere
vloeistof.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet buitenshuis of in een
vochtige omgeving.

• U kunt het apparaat schoonmaken met een vochtige
doek. Haal in dat geval de stekker uit het
stopcontact.

• Als u het apparaat open maakt: raak geen
bewegende delen aan. Laat de ventilator vanzelf tot
stilstand komen.

• Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hete voorwerpen.

• Indien het snoer van dit apparaat is beschadigd,
dient het uitsluitend te worden vervangen door een
door Philips daartoe aangewezen reparateur, omdat
voor de reparatie speciale gereedschappen en/of
onderdelen vereist zijn.

• De rooksensor mag niet worden blootgesteld aan
een directe hittebron of zeer sterke geuren. Gebruik
de luchtreiniger bijvoorbeeld niet als afzuiginstallatie
boven het fornuis.

• Spuit niet met een spuitbus in de richting van de
rooksensor.

• Schakel de “Auto”-functie uit, wanneer u voor
langere tijd de ruimte verlaat waarin de luchtreiniger
is geplaatst.

• Het apparaat heeft invloed op de luchtcirculatie in de
kamer. In het algemeen is het niet aan te raden het
apparaat naast een brandende open haard te
gebruiken.

Plaatsing

• In het algemeen is het aan
te bevelen de luchtreiniger
centraal in de kamer te
plaatsen met zijn rugzijde
tegen de muur, opgehangen
of staand op de vloer (fig. 2-

4).

• Overtollig snoer kunt u
oprollen aan de achterzijde
(I) (fig. 1).

• Dek nooit de luchtinlaat- of ­uitlaatopeningen af (fig. 5).

• Wanneer u verwarmings­apparaten gebruikt: plaats
de luchtreiniger zodanig dat
de luchtstroming die het
apparaat veroorzaakt
overeenkomt met de
convectie-luchtstroom van
de verwarming.
Plaats de luchtreiniger
daarom naast de radiator of
verwarmingsbron (fig. 6 -7).

• Het is mogelijk meer dan één luchtreiniger in dezelfde
kamer te plaatsen. Dit is vooral aan te bevelen als de kamer
erg groot is en/of een onregelmatige vorm heeft. In zo’n
geval kunt u het best de apparaten zover mogelijk uit elkaar
zetten, maar wel tegen de zelfde wand.

• Om de in een vertrek aanwezige lucht goed te reinigen en
schoon te houden adviseren wij één luchtreiniger HR 4347
voor kamers/ruimtes tot ongeveer 40m

• Met name voor gebruikers met een allergie aan de
luchtwegen is het aan te raden zowel in de slaapkamer als
in de woonkamer een luchtreiniger continu te laten werken.

In gebruik stellen

• Voor het eerste gebruik: vul de actieve koolstof-filters met
de meegeleverde koolstofkorrels (zie gedeelte “Actieve
koolstof vervangen”).
Het witte stickertje dat u daarbij aantreft, wordt niet
toegepast bij dit type luchtreiniger. U kunt het stickertje
desgewenst weggooien.
De vervangingsindicator hoeft nog niet te worden ge-”reset”.

- Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.
Het controlelampje boven de Aan/uit-druktoets (J), de
digitale cijfers (00:00) en het
kloksymbool a knipperen nu
(ditzelfde gebeurt na een
stroomstoring).
Het afleesvenster is niet
verlicht.

- Druk op de Aan/uit-druktoets
(fig. 8).
Het apparaat gaat werken
op snelheid 1 en het venster
licht oranje op.

Handmatig instellen

- Kies snelheid 1, 2 of turbo door de snelheidsregelaar (L) in
te drukken (fig. 10).
De controlelampjes geven de gekozen snelheid aan.

• Om de lucht snel te reinigen, kunt u de regelaar eerst op
turbo zetten (fig. 11).
Na ongeveer een half uur schakelt u terug naar snelheid 2.

• Om altijd verzekerd te zijn van frisse, schone lucht in uw
kamer, kunt u het apparaat continu op snelheid 1 of 2 laten
werken.

“Auto”-functie

De “Auto”-functie zorgt ervoor dat de luchtreiniger automatisch
de juiste snelheid kiest voor effectieve verwijdering van de
meeste gassen. U kunt de “Auto”-functie het beste instellen
vóórdat er luchtverontreiniging optreedt.
De gassensor (R) in het apparaat registreert de concentratie
gas in de ruimte waar de luchtreiniger staat.

- Om de sensor goed te laten
registreren, schuift u de
schakelaar (S) in de juiste
stand voor respectievelijk
een kleine () of een grote­re (ÔÔ) kamer (fig. 12).
Afhankelijk van veranderin­gen in de rook- of gascon­centratie schakelt de lucht­reiniger automatisch naar
een hogere of lagere

“Auto” functie instellen

- Schakel de luchtreiniger in (fig. 13).
Het controlelampje boven de Aan/uit-druktoets gaat branden
en het venster licht oranje op.
Het apparaat gaat werken op snelheid 1.

- Druk op de “Auto”-toets (K) (fig. 14).
Als u “Auto” kiest tijdens de eerste drie minuten na het
apparaat inschakelen, knippert het controlelampje
gedurende maximaal drie minuten oranje. Het apparaat
meet dan de luchtkwaliteit in de kamer.

• Als de lucht schoon is, schakelt de luchtreiniger naar de
wachtstand en wordt het controlelampje boven de “Auto”­toets groen (fig. 15).
Het controlelampje van de Aan/uit-druktoets blijft branden.

• Indien de rooksensor een toename in de rookconcentratie
vaststelt, blijft het controlelampje boven de “Auto”-toets
oranje branden en het apparaat schakelt automatisch naar
snelheid 1, 2 of turbo (fig. 16).

• Als u de “Auto”-functie wilt verlaten, drukt u nogmaals op de
“Auto”-toets.
Het controlelampje boven deze druktoets gaat dan uit.

Instellen van de kloktijd

• Wanneer de luchtreiniger wordt aangesloten op de
elektriciteit, èn na elke onderbreking van de netstroom,
moet de kloktijd (opnieuw) worden ingesteld.
Het controlelampje boven de Aan/uit-druktoets, kloksymbool
a en de digitale cijfers (00:00) knipperen om dit aan te
geven.

- Schakel de luchtreiniger in (fig. 17).
Het kloksymbool en de digitale cijfers blijven knipperen.
Het venster licht op.

- Druk op toets ▲ of toets ▼ om te tijd in te stellen (fig. 18).
Door een toets langer ingedrukt te houden, verspringen de
cijfers sneller.

- De kloktijd en het kloksymbool a in het venster knipperen
niet langer (fig. 19).

- Druk op de toets “time setting” (M) om de klok te starten
(fig. 20).
Het kloksymbool a gaat uit. De dubbele punt knippert om
aan te geven dat de klok loopt.

Ingestelde kloktijd wijzigen

- Schakel de luchtreiniger in (fig. 21).

- Druk op de toets “time setting” (M) (fig. 22).
Het kloksymbool a wordt zichtbaar.

- Stel de nieuwe kloktijd in met toets ▲ of toets ▼ (fig. 23).
(Zie “Instellen van de kloktijd”.).

- Druk tenslotte opnieuw op de toets “time setting” (M) (fig.

Timer (tijdschakelaar)

• Met de timer kunt u instellen hoe lang èn op welke snelheid
de luchtreiniger moet werken. Deze functie kunt u
bijvoorbeeld gebruiken indien u de luchtreiniger een aantal
uren tijdens of na het roken wilt laten werken.
Ook kan de timer handig zijn wanneer u het apparaat vaak
gedurende een zelfde tijd gebruikt.
Na inschakeling telt de timer de ingestelde tijd af en
schakelt dan de luchtreiniger uit.

• U kunt de luchtreiniger programmeren in de “Auto”-functie of
in een snelheid die u zelf bepaalt.

Instellen/wijzigen van de timer

- Schakel de luchtreiniger in (fig. 25).

- Kies de gewenste snelheid (“Auto” of met de handmatig in
te stellen snelheidsregelaar).

- Druk tweemaal op de toets “time setting” (M) (fig. 26).
Het “OFF” symbool wordt zichtbaar en het venster vertoont
0:00, of de reeds eerder geprogrammeerde werkduur.

- Druk op toets ▲ of toets ▼ om tot op de minuut nauwkeurig
in te stellen hoe lang het apparaat moet werken (fig. 27).

- Druk op de toets “time setting” (M) (fig. 28).
Het “OFF” symbool blijft zichtbaar. Tevens ziet u nu het
timer symbool Ò.
Na 3 seconden gaat de dubbele punt knipperen om aan te
geven dat de ingestelde tijd wordt afgeteld.

• Let op: Indien het timer symbool Ò is gaan knipperen en/of
is uitgegaan, betekent dit dat er geen

tijd is

geprogrammeerd. Stel dan de timer opnieuw in.

- Wanneer de ingestelde periode om is, schakelt de
luchtreiniger uit. Het vensterlicht, het controlelampje boven
de Aan/uit-druktoets, “OFF” en timer symbool Ò gaan uit.

• Het programma blijft na het uitschakelen van de
luchtreiniger bewaard in het geheugen.
U kunt het door middel van het snelkiesprogramma weer
gebruiken. (Zie: “Snel instellen van de timer”.)

Timer uitschakelen

- Om de timer (voortijdig) uit
te schakelen, houdt u de
toets “time setting” (M)

minimaal 3 seconden

ingedrukt (fig. 29).
De kloktijd verschijnt in het
venster.

Snel instellen van de timer

Indien u reeds eerder een werkduur voor het apparaat heeft
voorgeprogrammeerd, kunt u deze eenvoudig weer gebruiken:

- Schakel de luchtreiniger in (fig. 30).

- Houd de toets “time setting” (M) ingedrukt (minimaal 3
seconden) tot “OFF” en het timer symbool Ò zichtbaar
worden (fig. 31).
De eerder ingestelde werkduur wordt zichtbaar. Het aftellen
begint.

Klokkijken tijdens aftellende timer

U kunt de kloktijd bekijken
terwijl de timer aan het aftellen
is. Druk daarvoor één keer op
de toets “time setting” (M)
(fig. 32).
In het venster is de kloktijd
enkele seconden zichtbaar.
Daarna wordt het aftellen weer
zichtbaar in het venster.

Openen van de luchtreiniger

Let op: De voorzijde is voorzien van een automatische

beveiliging. Deze zorgt ervoor dat u het apparaat niet kunt
openmaken terwijl het is ingeschakeld. De automatische
beveiliging zorgt er ook voor dat u het apparaat niet kunt
inschakelen wanneer de voorzijde is verwijderd.

- Schakel de luchtreiniger uit
(fig. 33)

- Verwijder de voorzijde van
het apparaat door het aan
één zijde naar voren te
trekken (fig. 34).

N.B.: Druk niet tegen het
bedieningspaneel wanneer
u de luchtreiniger opent
(fig. 35).

Voorfilter schoonmaken

Reinig het voorfilter tenminste elke twee maanden en vaker
indien het apparaat meer geluid gaat maken of wordt gebruikt
in een ruimte waar wordt gerookt:

- Verwijder het voorfilter (fig. 36).

- Maak het voorfilter schoon door het te wassen (fig. 37) of te
stofzuigen.

- Als u afwasmiddel heeft gebruikt, spoel het filter dan na met
schoon water (fig. 38).

- Laat het filter goed aan de lucht drogen (fig. 39) voordat u
het terugplaatst.

HEPA-filter controleren/vervangen

- Om te controleren of het HEPA-filter aan vervanging toe is,
vergelijkt u de kleur van het HEPA-filter met de tinten op de
“HEPA-filter vervangings-indicator” (fig. 40).

- Komt de kleur overeen met de donkerste tint op de “HEPA­filter vervangings-indicator” vervang dan het HEPA-filter (fig.

41).

- Nieuwe HEPA-filters zijn verkrijgbaar bij uw leverancier
onder nr. HR 4940.

Actieve koolstof vervangen

• Verwijder en vervang de
actieve koolstof wanneer het
controlelampje van de filter
vervangingsindicator (Q)
gaat knipperen (eerst) of
continue blijft branden
(later). Vergeet daarna niet
de indicator te resetten. (Zie:
Reset actieve koolstof
vervanginsindicator)

- Verwijder de actieve
koolstof-filters (fig. 42).

- Open voorzichtig de
bovenzijde van het actieve koolstof-filter (fig. 43).

- Doe het schuimstofmatje met de oude koolstof in de
vuilnisbak (fig. 44).

- Knip van een nieuw bakje korrels de plastic uitsteeksels af
(fig. 45) en verwijder het deksel (fig. 46).

- Plaats het filter omgekeerd

- Draai nu het geheel met
beide handen om (fig. 48)
en schud de korrels in het
filter zodat deze egaal
worden verdeeld (fig. 49).

- Verwijder het doorzichtige bakje en plaats een nieuw
schuimstof matje op de actieve koolstof (fig. 50).

- Maak de bovenzijde van het filter weer dicht (fig. 51).

- Herhaal deze procedure voor het ander koolstoffilter.

- Nieuwe koolstofkorrels zijn verkrijgbaar bij uw leverancier
onder nr. HR 4941.

Reset actieve koolstof vervangings-indicator

Nadat u de actieve koolstof-filters hebt vervangen moet de
vervangings-indicator opnieuw worden ingesteld (ge-”reset”):

- Schakel de luchtreiniger in (fig. 52).

- Houd de reset toets (P) tenminste 3 seconden ingedrukt
(fig. 53).
Het controlelampje gaat (of blijft) branden en gaat na

Automatische beveiliging tegen oververhitting

Om beschadiging te voorkomen en risico’s te beperken,
schakelt de automatische beveiliging tegen oververhitting de
motor uit wanneer deze te heet wordt.
Om aan te geven dat het apparaat nog steeds is ingeschakeld
en aangesloten aan netstroom, blijft het controlelampje bij de
Aan/uit-druktoets branden.
Als dit gebeurt:

- Zet de luchtreiniger uit.

- Neem de stekker uit het stopcontact.

- Wacht tot het apparaat is afgekoeld (ca. 15 minuten).

- Verwijder de voorzijde. Controleer of de filters niet zijn
afgedekt of geblokkeerd en dat niets de luchtstroom
belemmert.

- Controleer of de ventilator
vrij kan ronddraaien als u het
met de hand beweegt (fig.

- Sluit het apparaat. Doe de
stekker weer in het
stopcontact en schakel het
apparaat in.

Con il vostro Purificatore d’Aria Philips potrete davvero
migliorare la qualità dell’aria che respirate in casa e in ufficio.
Questo apparecchio è in grado di ridurre sensibilmente
l’inquinamento dell’aria causato da pollini, polvere, batteri,
virus, funghi, muffe e fumo, e anche i principali odori
provenienti dall’esterno (es. da strade trafficate o industrie).

Confrontando i diversi purificatori d’aria, vi accorgerete che i
produttori utilizzano vari termini per mostrare l’efficacia dei loro
prodotti. Tuttavia, il valore che indica meglio l’efficacia di un
purificatore d’aria nel suo complesso è il cosiddetto Clean Air
Delivery Rate (CADR - Tasso Erogazione Aria Pulita). In linea
di massima, un purificatore d’aria con un CADR maggiore
eliminerà più velocemente le particelle volatili disperse in un
locale di una data dimensione rispetto ad un altro con CADR
più basso.

Come funziona il Purificatore d’Aria Philips?

Il Purificatore aspira l’aria frontalmente e lateralmente e
provvede a filtrarla. Dopo essere stata filtrata, l’aria viene
emessa dalla parte superiore dell’apparecchio.
Per eliminare anche le particelle più piccole dall’aria, il
purificatore utilizza un rivoluzionario sistema filtrante a 3 fasi.

1 Pre-filtro

Il pre-filtro lavabile cattura le particelle più grandi come
lanugine e peli.

2 Filtro HEPA

Il filtro HEPA elimina anche le particelle più piccole. Il filtro è
realizzato con fibre di vetro estremamente compatte, che
impediscono il passaggio delle particelle. Filtri di questo tipo
vengono normalmente utilizzati nella sale operatorie degli
ospedali.

3 Filtri ai carboni attivi

L’ultima fase si compone di due filtri a carboni attivi, gli unici in
grado di assorbire in modo efficace gli odori domestici quali il
fumo di tabacco, gli odori della cucina e degli animali.

• Prima di usare l'apparecchio, leggete attentamente le
istruzioni per l'uso.

• Non immergete mai l’apparecchio in acqua o altro
liquido.

• Non usate l’apparecchio all’esterno o in ambienti

Ricordate di togliere la spina dalla presa prima di
procedere alla pulizia!

• Quando aprite l’apparecchio, non toccate le parti in
movimento e lasciate che la ventola si fermi da sola.

• Tenete il cavo di alimentazione lontano da superfici
calde.

• Nel caso in cui il cavo di alimentazione risulti
danneggiato, dovrà essere sostituito presso un
centro di assistenza Philips o un rivenditore
autorizzato, in quanto potrebbero essere necessari
utensili e/o pezzi speciali.

• Non esponete il sensore del fumo ad una fonte
diretta di calore o a odori molto forti. Ad esempio,
non usate il purificatore d’aria al posto della cappa
aspirante, in cucina.

• Non rivolgete il getto di una bomboletta spray verso
il sensore di fumo.

• Se dovete uscire dal locale per un po’ di tempo,
spegnete l’impostazione “Auto”.

• L’apparecchio influisce sulla circolazione dell’aria
all’interno del locale, pertanto si consiglia di non
utilizzarlo vicino a fiamme libere.

Posizionamento

• Di norma, il purificatore
d’aria deve essere collocato
in posizione centrale, sul
pavimento, con il retro
appoggiato contro la parete,
oppure appeso (fig. 2-4).

• Il cavo eccedente può
essere riposto nella parte
posteriore (I)
dell’apparecchio (fig. 1).

• Non bloccate mai l’entrata e
l’uscita dell’aria (fig. 5).

• Se utilizzate un
termoconvettore o un
radiatore, collocate il
purificatore in modo tale che
il suo getto d’aria coincida
con il flusso della corrente di
convezione dell’apparecchio
riscaldante. Collocate quindi
il purificatore dell’aria
accanto al radiatore o al
termoconvettore (fig. 6-7).

• È anche possibile utilizzare più purificatori in uno stesso
locale, soprattutto se quest’ultimo è di grandi dimensioni e/o
ha una forma irregolare. In questo caso è meglio
appoggiare due apparecchi lungo la stessa parete,
distanziandoli il più possibile.

• Per una corretta purificazione dell’aria, vi consigliamo di
usare un apparecchio HR4347 per locali con una superficie
fino a 40 m

2

(100 m3).

• Soprattutto nel caso di persone allergiche, si consiglia di
posizionare un purificatore in soggiorno e un altro nella
camera da letto, facendoli funzionare contemporaneamente.

Come preparare l’apparecchio per l’uso

• Prima di usare l’apparecchio per la prima volta: riempite
il filtro a carboni attivi con i granuli forniti (vedere “Come
sostituire i carboni attivi”). L’etichetta bianca fornita con i
granuli non viene utilizzata per questo tipo di apparecchio,
quindi potete buttarla. Non è ancora necessario resettare
l’indicatore di sostituzione carboni attivi.

- Inserite la spina nella presa di corrente.
La spia sopra il pulsante ON/OFF, le cifre del display
(00:00) e il simbolo a dell’orologio inizieranno a
lampeggiare (questo si
verificherà anche dopo
un’interruzione della
tensione).
Il display è spento.

- Premete il pulsante ON/OFF
(fig. 8).

Il display si accenderà e
l’apparecchio inizierà a
funzionare a velocità 1. La
spia sopra il pulsante
ON/OFF rimane fissa ad
indicare che l’apparecchio è
in funzione.

Come impostare
manualmente il purificatore
d’aria

- Accendete il purificatore
d’aria (fig. 9).
La spia sopra il pulsante
ON/OFF si accende, come
pure il display.
L’apparecchio inizierà a
funzionare a velocità 1.

- Selezionate la velocità 1, 2 o turbo premendo il selettore di
velocità (L) (fig. 10).
Le spie indicano la velocità che è stata selezionata.

• Per una rapida pulizia dell’aria, impostate la posizione
“turbo” (fig. 11) per poi passare alla velocità 2 dopo circa 30
minuti.

• Per garantire aria fresca e pulita nei locali, fate funzionare
l’apparecchio continuamente a velocità 1 o 2.

Posizione “Auto”

Se impostato nella posizione “Auto”, il purificatore d’aria
seleziona automaticamente la velocità più adatta per eliminare
la maggior parte dei gas presenti nell’aria. È meglio impostare
il purificatore in posizione “Auto” prima che l’aria risulti
inquinata. Il sensore del gas ( R) registra la concentrazione di
gas nel locale in cui è stato installato l’apparecchio.

Come impostare la posizione “Auto”

- Accendete l’apparecchio (fig. 13).
La spia sopra l’interruttore ON/OFF si accende, come pure il
display.
L’apparecchio inizierà a funzionare a velocità 1.

- Premete il pulsante “Auto” (K) (fig. 14).
Selezionando la posizione “Auto” entro tre minuti
dall’accensione dell’apparecchio, la spia diventerà
arancione e lampeggerà per max. 3 minuti: è questo il
tempo necessario al purificatore per rilevare la qualità
dell’aria nel locale.

• Quando l’aria è pulita, l’interruttore passa in posizione
stand-by e la spia posta sopra il pulsante “Auto” diventa
verde (fig. 15).
La spia posta sopra pulsante ON/OFF rimane accesa.

• Se il sensore rileva un aumento della concentrazione di
fumo, la spia posta sopra il pulsante “Auto” diventa
arancione e l’apparecchio imposta automaticamente la
velocità 1, 2 oppure turbo (fig. 16).

• Se non volete far funzionare l’apparecchio in posizione
“Auto”, premete un’altra volta il pulsante “Auto”.
La spia posta sopra il pulsante si spegnerà.

Come impostare l’orologio

• L’orologio deve essere (re)impostato quando il purificatore
viene collegato alla presa di corrente e ogni volta che viene
tolta la corrente. In questo caso, la spia posta sopra il
pulsante ON/OFF, il simbolo dell’orologio a e le cifre del
display (00:00) iniziano a lampeggiare.

- Accendete il purificatore (fig. 17).
Il simbolo dell’orologio e le cifre sul display continuano a
lampeggiare.
Il display si accende.

- Premete i pulsanti ▲ o ▼ per impostare l’orologio (fig. 18).
Tenete premuto il pulsante per andare avanti o indietro più
velocemente.

- L’ora e il simbolo dell’orologio sul display smetteranno di
lampeggiare (fig. 19).

- Premete il pulsante “M” per mettere in funzione l’orologio
(fig. 20).
Il simbolo dell’orologio a scomparirà e inizieranno a
lampeggiare i due punti, per indicare che l’orologio è in
funzione.

Come cambiare l’impostazione dell’ora

- Accendete il purificatore d’aria (fig. 21).

- Premete il pulsante “M” (fig. 22).
Sul display a apparirà il simbolo dell’orologio.

- Reimpostate l’ora con i pulsanti ▲ o ▼ (fig. 23) (Vedere
“Come impostare l’orologio”).

- Premete un’altra volta il pulsante “M” (fig. 24).

Timer

• Grazie al timer potrete programmare per quanto tempo e a
quale velocità volete fate funzionare l’apparecchio. Potete
usare il timer, ad esempio, se volete far funzionare
l’apparecchio mentre qualcuno fuma e/o alcune ore dopo
aver fumato.
Il timer può essere comodo anche se volete usare il
purificatore ogni giorno alla stessa ora.
Dopo aver attivato il timer, inizierà il conto alla rovescia e
alla fine l’apparecchio verrà spento automaticamente.

• È possibile programmare la posizione “Auto” o una
particolare velocità.

Come impostare/modificare il timer

- Accendete l’apparecchio (fig. 25).

- Selezionate la velocità desiderata premendo il pulsante
“Auto” o impostando il selettore nella posizione voluta.

- Premete due volte il pulsante “M” (fig. 26).
Sul display appariranno il simbolo “OFF” e 0:00 oppure
l’ora operativa già programmata.

- Premete i pulsanti ▲ o ▼ per impostare l’ora desiderata
(tolleranza: un minuto) (fig. 27).

- Premete il pulsante “M” (fig. 28).
Il simbolo “OFF” rimarrà visibile mentre sul display apparirà
Ò il simbolo del timer.
Dopo tre secondi, i due punti inizieranno a lampeggiare per
indicare che è iniziato il conto alla rovescia.

• Nota: se il simbolo del timer Ò inizia a lampeggiare e/o si
spegne mentre state impostando il timer, significa che
quest’ultimo non è stato impostato correttamente. In questo
caso, impostate nuovamente il timer.

- Trascorso il tempo impostato, l’apparecchio si spegnerà,
come pure la luce del display e la spia posta sopra il
pulsante ON/OFF. Scompariranno inoltre il simbolo Ò del
timer e quello di OFF.

• Il programma viene registrato nella memoria e potrà essere
richiamato mediante il pulsante “impostazione ora” quando
l’apparecchio viene usato nuovamente (Vedere “Come
richiamare l’impostazione del timer”).

Come spegnere il timer

- Per spegnere o interrompere
il programma del timer,
tenete premuto il pulsante
“impostazione ora” per
almeno 3 secondi
(fig. 29).
Sul display apparirà
l’orologio.

Come richiamare l’impostazione del timer

Se avete già programmato un’ora operativa, potrete
richiamarla e riutilizzarla facilmente e rapidamente:

- Accendete l’apparecchio (fig. 30).

- Tenete premuto il pulsante (M) per almeno 3 secondi, fino a
quando sul display appariranno il simbolo “OFF” e Ò quello
del timer (fig. 31).
A questo punto sul display apparirà l’ora operativa
precedentemente programmata e il timer entrerà in
funzione.

Come leggere l’ora mentre il timer è in funzione

Potrete leggere l’ora anche
mentre il timer è in funzione
premendo una volta il pulsante
(M) (fig. 32). A questo punto
sul display apparirà l’orologio
per alcuni secondi, poi
riapparirà il timer.

Come aprire il purificatore d’aria

La parte anteriore del purificatore d’aria è provvista di un
pulsante automatico di sicurezza che impedisce l’apertura
dell’apparecchio mentre è in funzione. Questo dispositivo
di sicurezza impedisce anche la messa in funzione
dell’apparecchio nel caso la parte anteriore sia stata
asportata.

- Spegnete l’apparecchio
(fig. 33).

- Togliete la parte anteriore
dell’apparecchio tirandola
verso di voi da un lato
(fig. 34).

N.B. Mentre aprite
l’apparecchio, non
spingete mai verso il
pannello di controllo
(fig. 35).

Come pulire il pre-filtro

Pulite il pre-filtro almeno una volta ogni due mesi o più spesso
nel caso l’apparecchio risulti particolarmente rumoroso o
venga utilizzato in ambienti fumosi.

- Togliete il pre-filtro (fig. 36).

- Lavate il pre-filtro (fig. 37) oppure pulitelo con
l’aspirapolvere.

- Se avete usato del detersivo, ricordate di sciacquare il filtro
con acqua pulita (fig. 38).

- Lasciate asciugare il filtro all’aria (fig. 39) prima di rimetterlo
al suo posto.

Come controllare/sostituire il filtro HEPA

- Per sapere se è necessario sostituire il filtro HEPA,
confrontate il colore del filtro con quello dell’indicatore per la
sostituzione del filtro (fig. 40).

- Sostituite il filtro HEPA quando il colore corrisponde alla
tonalità più scura di grigio riportata sull’indicatore
sostituzione filtro HEPA (fig. 41).

- I nuovi filtri HEPA sono disponibili presso il vostro
rivenditore di fiducia, con il codice HR4940.

Come sostituire i granuli di carboni attivi

• Togliete e sostituite i carboni
attivi quando la spia
dell’apposito indicatore (Q)
inizia a lampeggiare
(all’inizio) o rimane accesa
(in seguito).
Non dimenticate di resettare
l’indicatore di filtro pieno
(Vedere “Come resettare
l’indicatore sostituzione
carboni attivi”).

- Togliete i filtri a carboni attivi
(fig. 42).

- Sollevate con attenzione la parte superiore del filtro a
carboni attivi (fig. 43).

- Gettate il cuscinetto e i carboni attivi usati nel cestino
(fig. 44).

- Prendete una nuova confezione di granuli, tagliate
l’estremità in plastica (fig. 45) e togliete il coperchio (fig. 46).

- Rovesciate il filtro sulla
nuova confezione di granuli
ai carboni attivi e premete gli
angoli uno contro l’altro

- Rovesciate con entrambe le mani la confezione di granuli
con il filtro posto sopra (fig. 48). Scuotete i granuli nel filtro e
controllate che siano distribuiti in modo uniforme (fig. 49).

- Togliete la confezione di plastica e mettete un nuovo
cuscinetto sopra i carboni attivi (fig. 50).

- Richiudete il coperchio del filtro (fig. 51).

- Ripetete la stessa procedura per il secondo filtro a carboni
attivi.

- I granuli ai carboni attivi sono disponibili presso il vostro
rivenditore di fiducia, con il codice HR 4941.

Come resettare l’indicatore sostituzione carboni attivi

Dopo aver sostituito i carboni attivi, dovrete resettare
l’indicatore:

- Accendete il purificatore d’aria (fig. 52).

- Tenete premuto il pulsante di reset (P) per almeno 3
secondi (fig. 53).
La spia rimarrà accesa per 3 secondi e poi si spegnerà per
indicare che l’indicatore è stato resettato.

Dispositivo di spegnimento automatico per evitare il
surriscaldamento

Per evitare danni all’apparecchio causati dal surriscaldamento
e per limitare i rischi, questo dispositivo provvede a spegnere
automaticamente il motore non appena quest’ultimo diventa
troppo caldo.
La spia del pulsante ON/OFF rimarrà comunque accesa, per
indicare che l’apparecchio è ancora collegato alla presa di
corrente.
In questo caso:

- Spegnete l’apparecchio.

- Togliete la spina dalla presa.

- Lasciate raffreddare l’apparecchio (circa 15 minuti)

- Togliete la parte anteriore dell’apparecchio. Controllate che i
filtri non siano otturati o bloccati e che il getto dell’aria non
sia ostruito.

- Controllate che la ventola
possa ruotare liberamente,
facendolo girare
manualmente (fig. 54).

- Richiudete l’apparecchio.
Inserite la spina nella presa
e riaccendete l’apparecchio.

Nel caso il dispositivo di
spegnimento automatico
intervenisse troppo
frequentemente, vi consigliamo
di portare l’apparecchio presso

Su Purificador de Aire Philips es un aparato muy efectivo que
mejora la calidad del aire que respiran en su casa o en su
oficina. El aparato reduce significativamente la polución del
aire del interior causada por polen, polvo, bacterias, virus,
mohos, humo y todo tipo de otros olores como los de cocer
alimentos y los exteriores debidos al tráfico o a la industria.

Al comparar purificadores de aire se darán cuenta que un
cierto número de criterios son usados por los proveedores
para indicar la efectividad de sus aparatos.
El patrón que mejor refleja la efectividad de un purificador de
aire es el CADR (Porcentaje de Salida de Aire Limpio). En
general, un purificador de aire con un alto CADR eliminará las
partículas del aire más rápidamente que un purificador de aire
con un bajo CADR.

¿ Cómo funciona el Purificador de Aire Philips ?

El Purificador de Aire aspira el aire a través de su frontal y de
sus lados. El aire aspirado es filtrado por el Purificador de Aire
y, después de filtrarlo, lo expulsa por la parte superior del
aparato.
Para poder eliminar incluso las partículas más pequeñas del
aire, el Purificador de Aire ha sido equipado con un sistema
único de filtrado del aire en tres etapas.

1 Prefiltro

El lavable prefiltro atrapa las mayores partículas en
suspensión en el aire tales como pelusas, pelos, etc.

2 Filtro "Hepa"

El filtro "Hepa" elimina las más pequeñas partículas del aire. El
filtro está elaborado con fibras de vidrio ligadas tan
estrechamente entre sí que evitan que incluso las partículas
muy pequeñas puedan pasar a través del filtro.
El mismo tipo de filtro es también usado en la mayoría de los
quirófanos de los hospitales.

3 Filtros de carbón activo

La etapa final consiste en dos filtros de carbón activado. El
carbón activado es el único material de filtrado que absorbe
efectivamente la mayor parte de los gases causantes , entre
otras cosas, de olores molestos.

Desenchufen el aparato antes de hacerlo

Dónde colocar el Purificador
de Aire

• Como norma, el Purificador
de Aire debe estar colocado
en una posición central, en
el suelo y tanto puede estar
colocado con su parte
posterior contra la pared
como colgado en la pared
(figs. 2 - 4).

• El sobrante del cable de red

puede guardarse en la parte
posterior (I) del aparato
(fig. 1).

• No obstruyan nunca las
entradas y la salida de aire
(fig. 5).

• Cuando usen un aparato
calefactor : Coloquen el
Purificador de Aire de modo
que el flujo de aire que
origina coincida con el flujo
de aire producido por
convección por el

calentador. Esto significa que deben colocar el Purificador
de Aire cerca del radiador o de otro aparato calefactor
(figs. 6 y 7).

• También es posible usar más de un Purificador de Aire en
una habitación. Esto es aconsejable si la habitación es muy
grande y/o tiene una forma irregular. En tal caso, lo mejor
es colocar los aparatos tan separados como sea posible
pero contra la misma pared.

• Para la limpieza adecuada del aire de una habitación, les
aconsejamos usar un Purificador de Aire tipo HR 4347 para
habitaciones con una superficie de suelo de hasta 40 m

2

(100 m3).

• Especialmente a los usuarios que sufran de alergias
respiratorias, les aconsejamos poner un Purificador de Aire
tanto en el dormitorio como en la sala de estar, y dejar que
ambos funcionen continuamente.

Cómo preparar el Purificador de Aire para el uso

• Antes de usar el aparato por primera vez, llenen los
filtros de carbón activo con los gránulos de carbón que se
suministran (Ver “Sustitución del carbón activo”). La
etiqueta blanca que va con los gránulos no se usa en
combinación con este tipo de Purificador de Aire y, por ello,
pueden tirarla.
El indicador de la sustitución no debe ser armado todavía.

- Enchufen el aparato a la red.
La lámpara piloto de encima del mando Paro/Marcha
(Off/On) (J), las cifras de
la pantalla (00:00) y el
símbolo del reloj a
empezarán a parpadear
(Ello también ocurrirá

Ajuste manual del Purificador

El aparato empezará a funcionar a la velocidad 1.

- Presionando el mando de la velocidad (L), seleccionen las
velocidades 1, 2 o “turbo” (fig. 10).
Las lámparas piloto indicarán la velocidad seleccionada.

• Para una rápida purificación del aire, seleccionen la
velocidad "turbo" (fig. 11) y, aproximadamente 30 minutos
después, seleccionen la velocidad 2.

• Para un continuo suministro de aire limpio y fresco en su
habitación, hagan que el aparato funcione de forma
continua a las velocidades 1 y 2.

Posición “Auto”

Cuando lo ajusten a la posición “Auto”, el Purificador de Aire
seleccionará automáticamente la velocidad más efectiva para
eliminar la mayoría de gases del aire. Es mejor ajustar el
Purificador de Aire a la posición “Auto” antes de que el aire se
polucione. El sensor de gas (R) del aparato registra la
concentración de gas en la habitación donde el aparato está
funcionando.

Cómo ajustar la posición “Auto”

- Pongan en marcha el Purificador de Aire (fig. 13).
La lámpara piloto de encima del mando Paro/Marcha
(Off/On) se encenderá así como las lámparas piloto de la
pantalla
El aparato empezará a funcionar a la velocidad 1.

- Presionen el mando “Auto” (K) (fig. 14).
Si seleccionan la posición “Auto” dentro de los 3 minutos
anteriores a la puesta en marcha del aparato, la lámpara
piloto se tornará naranja y parpadeará durante un máximo
de 3 minutos. Durante este tiempo, el Purificador de Aire
estará midiendo la calidad del aire de la habitación.

• Cuando el aire esté limpio, el Purificador de Aire se ajustará
a la posición de espera y la lámpara piloto de encima del
mando “Auto” se tornará verde (fig. 15).
La lámpara piloto del mando Paro/Marcha (Off/On)
continuará encendida.

• Cuando el sensor de humo registre un aumento de la
concentración de humo, la lámpara piloto de encima del
mando “Auto” se tornará naranja y el aparato se ajustará
automáticamente a la velocidad 1, 2 o “turbo” (fig. 16).

• Si no desean que el aparato funcione a la posición “Auto”,
presionen una vez más el mando “Auto”.
La lámpara piloto de encima del mando “Auto” se apagará.

Cómo ajustar el reloj

• El reloj puede ser (re)ajustado cuando el Purificador de Aire
sea enchufado a la red y cada vez que la entrada de
corriente al aparato haya sido cortada. En ese caso, la
lámpara piloto de encima del mando Paro/Marcha (Off/On),
el símbolo a y las cifras de la pantalla (00:00) empezarán a
parpadear.

- Pongan en marcha el Purificador de Aire (fig. 17).
El símbolo del reloj y las cifras de la pantalla seguirán
parpadeando.
Las lámparas piloto de la pantalla se encenderán.

- Presionen el mando ▲ o ▼ para ajustar el reloj (fig. 18). Si
presionan los mandos un poco más, el reloj se moverá más
rápidamente hacia adelante o hacia atrás.

- La hora y el símbolo del reloj a en la pantalla dejan de
parpadear (fig. 19).

- Presionen el mando para ajustar el temporizador y el reloj
(M) para hacer que el reloj empiece a funcionar (fig. 20).
El símbolo del reloj a desaparece. Los dos puntos
empiezan a parpadear para indicar que el reloj está
funcionando.

Cómo cambiar la hora fijada

- Pongan en marcha el Purificador de Aire (fig. 21).

- Presionen el mando para ajustar el temporizador y el reloj
(M) (fig. 22).
El símbolo del reloj a aparecerá en la pantalla.

- Reajusten la hora mediante los mandos ▲ o ▼ (fig. 23) (Ver
“Cómo ajustar el reloj”).

- Finalmente, vuelvan a presionar el mando para ajustar el
temporizador y el reloj (M) (fig. 24).

Temporizador

• Con el temporizador podrán programar durante cuanto
tiempo y a que velocidad desean que funcione el Purificador
de Aire. Podrán, por ejemplo, usar el temporizador si
desean que el Purificador de Aire funcione cuando alguien
esté fumando y/o unas pocas horas después de que alguien
haya fumado.
El temporizador también es útil si usan el Purificador de Aire
cada día durante el mismo período de tiempo.
Después de que hayan activado el temporizador, este irá
descontando hasta la hora fijada y, finalmente,
desconectará el Purificador de Aire.

• Pueden programar tanto la posición “Auto” como una
velocidad en particular.

Cómo ajustar / cambiar el temporizador

- Pongan en marcha el Purificador de Aire (fig. 25).

- Seleccionen la velocidad deseada presionando el mando
del ajuste ”Auto” o ajustando el mando de la velocidad a la
posición deseada.

- Presionen 2 veces el mando para ajustar el temporizador y
el reloj (M) (fig. 26).
En la pantalla aparecerá el símbolo “OFF” así como 0:00 o
el tiempo de funcionamiento ya programado.

- Presionen el mando ▲ o ▼ para ajustar el tiempo de
funcionamiento (Precisión al minuto) (fig. 27).

- Presionen el mando para ajustar el temporizador y el reloj
(M) (fig. 28).
El símbolo “OFF” permanecerá visible y en la pantalla
aparecerá el símbolo Ò del temporizador.
Después de 3 segundos, los dos puntos empezarán a
parpadear para indicar que el tiempo de funcionamiento
fijado está descontándose.

• Tengan en cuenta que si el símbolo del temporizador Ò
empieza a parpadear y / o se apaga mientras están
ajustándolo, significa que el temporizador no ha sido
adecuadamente ajustado. En ese caso, vuelvan a ajustar el
temporizador.

- Cuando haya transcurrido el período fijado, el Purificador de
Aire se parará. La lámpara piloto de la pantalla y la lámpara
piloto de encima del mando Paro/Marcha (Off/On) se
apagarán y los símbolos “OFF” y del temporizador Ò
desaparecerán.

• El programa queda guardado en la memoria y puede ser
recuperado, mediante el mando para ajustar el
temporizador y el reloj (M), cuando vuelvan a usar el

aparato (Ver “Cómo
recuperar el ajuste del
temporizador”).

Cómo parar el temporizador

- Para parar el temporizador o
interrumpir su programa,
presionen el mando para
ajustar el temporizador y el
reloj (M) durante, al menos,
3 segundos (fig. 29).
El reloj aparecerá en la pantalla.

Cómo recuperar el ajuste del temporizador

Si han programado previamente un tiempo de funcionamiento,
pueden recuperar ese programa rápida y fácilmente y volverlo
a usar.

- Pongan en marcha el Purificador de Aire (fig. 30).

- Presionen el mando para ajustar el temporizador y el reloj
(M) durante, al menos, 3 segundos hasta que el símbolo
“OFF” y el símbolo del temporizador Ò aparezcan en la
pantalla (fig. 31).
El tiempo de funcionamiento previamente programado
aparecerá y el temporizador empezará a funcionar.

Cómo ver el reloj mientras el temporizador esté
funcionando

Presionando el mando para
ajustar el temporizador y el

Cómo abrir el Purificador de Aire

Tengan en cuenta que la parte frontal del Purificador de Aire
ha sido provista de un cierre de seguridad automático que
imposibilita la apertura del aparato cuando está en marcha. El
cierre de seguridad automático también asegura que no
puedan poner en marcha el aparato si han quitado la parte
frontal.

- Paren el Purificador de Aire
(fig. 33).

- Estirando un lado hacia
Uds., quiten la parte frontal
del aparato (fig. 34).

Nota : Al abrir el
Purificador de Aire, no
presionen nunca contra el
panel de control (fig. 35).

Cómo limpiar el prefiltro

Limpien el prefiltro al menos una vez cada 2 meses y más a
menudo si el aparato se torna ruidoso y si lo usan en una
habitación donde la gente fuma.

- Saquen el prefiltro (fig. 36).

- Limpien el prefiltro lavándolo (fig. 37) o con un aspirador

- Si han usado líquido detergente, aclaren los filtros con agua
limpia (fig. 38).

- Dejen que el filtro se seque de forma natural (fig. 39) antes
de volverlo a poner en el aparato .

Cómo comprobar / sustituir el filtro “Hepa”

- Para comprobar si el filtro “Hepa” necesita ser sustituido,
comparen el color del filtro “Hepa” con los matices del
indicador de sustitución del filtro “Hepa” (fig. 40).

- Si el color del filtro se corresponde con el matiz más oscuro
del indicador de sustitución del filtro “Hepa, sustituyan el
filtro “Hepa” (fig. 41).

- Nota : Filtros “Hepa” nuevos están disponibles en su
detallista bajo el número de tipo HR 4940.

Cómo sustituir los gránulos de carbón activo

• Quiten y sustituyan el
carbón activo cuando la
lámpara piloto de indicador
de sustitución (Q) empiece a
parpadear (Al principio) o
brille continuamente (Más
tarde). No olviden rearmar
el indicador de sustitución
(Q) (Ver “Cómo rearmar el
indicador de sustitución del
carbón activo”)

- Saquen los filtros de carbón
activo (fig. 42).

- Abran cuidadosamente la parte superior del filtro de carbón
activo (fig. 43).

- Tiren la almohadilla de espuma y el carbón usado en un
cubo para la basura (fig. 44).

- Cojan el nuevo depósito de gránulos de carbón, corten los
salientes de plástico (fig. 45) y quiten la tapa (fig. 46).

- Coloquen el filtro invertido
sobre el nuevo depósito de
gránulos de carbón y fijen
las esquinas de uno en el
otro (fig. 47).

- Usando las dos manos, giren el depósito con el filtro encima
(fig. 48). Sacudiendo, hagan pasar los gránulos al filtro y
asegúrense de que se distribuyen por igual (fig. 49).

- Saquen el depósito de plástico y coloquen una nueva
almohadillo de espuma sobre el carbón activo (fig. 50).

- Vuelvan a cerrar la parte superior del filtro (fig. 51).

- Repitan este proceso en el segundo filtro.

- Nota : Nuevos gránulos de carbón están disponibles en su
detallista bajo el número de tipo HR 4941.

Cómo rearmar el indicador de sustitución del carbón
activo

Después de haber sustituido el carbón activo, deben rearmar
del indicador de sustitución.

- Pongan en marcha el Purificador de Aire (fig. 52).

- Presionen el mando de rearme (P) durante, al menos, 3
segundos (fig. 53).
La lámpara piloto se encenderá, permanecerá encendida 3
segundos y se apagará para indicar que el indicador ha sido
rearmado.

Dispositivo automático de seguridad contra
sobrecalentamientos

Para prevenir el deterioro del aparato y para limitar los riesgos,
el dispositivo automático de seguridad asegura que el motor
del ventilador se desconectará si se calienta demasiado.
Para indicar que el aparato todavía está en la posición de
marcha y conectado a la red, la lámpara piloto del mando
Paro/Marcha (Off/On) permanecerá encendida
Si ello sucede :

- Paren el Purificador de Aire

- Desenchufen el aparato de la red.

- Dejen que el aparato se enfríe durante unos 15 minutos.

- Abran la parte frontal del aparato. Comprueben que los
filtros no estén tapados o bloqueados y que nada está
obstruyendo el flujo de aire.

- Comprueben que el
ventilador pueda girar
libremente si lo hacen girar
con la mano (fig. 54).

- Cierren el aparato.
Enchúfenlo de nuevo a la
red y pónganlo en marcha.

Si el dispositivo automático de
seguridad se activa
repetidamente, es aconsejable
llevar el aparato a un Servicio
de Asistencia Técnica Philips
para una inspección técnica.

Philipsin ilmanpuhdistin on erittäin tehokas laite, joka parantaa
kodin tai toimiston sisäilman laatua. Se vähentää merkittävästi
sisäilman epäpuhtauksia, joita aiheuttavat siitepöly, huonepöly,
bakteerit, virukset, homepöly, savu ja erilaiset hajut, kuten
ruuankäryt ja ulkoa tulevat liikenteen pakokaasut ja
teollisuuden päästöt.

Ilmanpuhdistimia vertaillessasi huomaat, että valmistajat
käyttävät erilaisia termejä kuvaamaan omien laitteidensa
tehokkuutta. Parhaiten ilmanpuhdistimien tehokkuutta kuvaava
vertailuluku on CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate = puhtaan ilman
antonopeus). Yleensä ilmanpuhdistin, jonka CADR-luku on
korkea, poistaa hiukkaset ilmasta nopeammin kuin sellainen
ilmanpuhdistin, jonka CADR-luku on matala.

Miten Philipsin ilmanpuhdistin toimii?

Ilmanpuhdistin imee ilmaa edestä ja molemmista sivuista.
Ilmanpuhdistin suodattaa imetyn ilman. Puhdistuksen jälkeen
suodatettu ilma puhalletaan ulos laitteen päältä.
Pienimpienkin hiukkasten poistamiseksi ilmasta laitteessa
käytetään ainutlaatuista 3-vaiheista suodatusta.

1 Esisuodatin

Tähän vaahtomuoviseen suodattimeen jäävät ilmassa olevat
isot pölyhiukkaset, kuten nukka ja karvat.

2 HEPA-suodatin

HEPA-suodatin poistaa ilmasta pienet hiukkaset. Suodatin on
tehty lasikuidusta, joka on pakattu niin tiiviiksi, että hyvin
pienetkään hiukkaset eivät voi päästä suodattimen läpi.
Samanlaisia suodattimia käytetään useissa sairaaloissa
leikkaussaleissa.

3 Aktiivihiilisuodattimet

Viimeinen vaihe käsittää kaksi aktiivihiilisuodatinta. Aktiivihiili
on ainoa materiaali, joka poistaa tehokkaasti useimmat mm.
hajuhaittoja aiheuttavat kaasut.

Tärkeää

• Lue käyttöohje huolellisesti, ennen kuin alat käyttää
laitetta.

• Älä upota laitetta veteen tai mihinkään nesteeseen.

• Älä käytä laitetta ulkona tai kosteissa oloissa.

• Laite puhdistetaan pyyhkimällä liinalla, joka voidaan
tarvittaessa kostuttaa pesuveteen. Irrota aina
pistotulppa pistorasiasta ennen puhdistuksen
aloittamista.

• Kun avaat etulevyn, älä koske liikkuviin osiin. Anna
tuulettimen pysähtyä itsestään.

• Varo, ettei liitosjohto kosketa kuumia pintoja.

• Tarkasta liitosjohdon kunto säännöllisesti. Jos
tämän laitteen verkkoliitosjohto vaurioituu, on johto
korvattava erikoisjohdolla. Ota yhteys lähimpään
Philips-myyjään tai Philipsin Kodinkoneiden
valtuuttamaan huoltoon.

• Suojaa kaasunilmaisin kuumuudelta ja voimakkailta
hajuilta. Älä esimerkiksi käytä ilmanpuhdistinta
liesituulettimen paikalla.

• Varo suuntaamasta aerosolisuihkeita
kaasunilmaisinta kohti.

• Katkaise automaattitoiminto, jos poistut pitkäksi
aikaa siitä huoneesta, jossa laite on.

• Laite vaikuttaa huoneen ilmankiertoon. Laitetta ei
tulisi käyttää avotulen lähellä.

• Ennen kuin yhdistät laitteen pistorasiaan, tarkista
että laitteen arvokilven jännitemerkintä vastaa
paikallista verkkojännitettä.

• Älä irrota pistotulppaa pistorasiasta johdosta
vetämällä.

• Pidä huoli, etteivät terävät kulmat, kuumuus tai
kemikaalit pääse vahingoittamaan liitosjohtoa.

• Älä taivuta liitosjohtoa tiukalle mutkalle.

• Älä vaihda itse laitteen liitosjohtoa.

• Jos laite on pudonnut veteen, irrota ensin
pistotulppa pistorasiasta, ennen kuin nostat laitteen
vedestä.

• Tarkistuta veteen pudonnut laite huollossa ennen
käyttöönottoa.

Käytä vain alkuperäisiä suodattimia.

Ilmanpuhdistimen paikka

• Yleensä ilmanpuhdistin
kannattaa laittaa
mahdollisimman keskeiselle
paikalle lattialle takaosa
seinää vasten, tai se
voidaan kiinnittää myös
seinälle (kuvat 2-4).

• Liitosjohdon ylimääräinen
osa voidaan kiertää piiloon
laitteen taakse (I) (kuva 1).

• Älä peitä ilmanotto- tai
ilmanpoistoaukkoja (kuva 5).

• Käytettäessä lämmitintä
ilmanpuhdistin on
sijoitettava siten, että sen
synnyttämä ilmavirta kulkee
samansuuntaisesti
lämmittimen virtauksen
kanssa. Laita sen tähden
ilmanpuhdistin lämmittimen
tai muun lämpölähteen
viereen (kuvat 6-7).

• Samaan huoneeseen voidaan laittaa useampi kuin yksi
ilmanpuhdistin. Näin kannattaa tehdä, jos huone on kovin
suuri ja/tai muodoltaan epäsäännöllinen. Siinä tapauksessa
laitteet on paras sijoittaa samaa seinää vasten mutta
mahdollisimman kauas toisistaan.

• Ilman tehokkaaseen puhdistamiseen riittää yksi
ilmanpuhdistin HR 4347 huoneeseen/tilaan, jonka
lattiapinta-ala on enintään 40 m

2

(100 m3).

• Varsinkin allergisten ihmisten kannattaa hankkia
ilmanpuhdistin sekä makuuhuoneeseen että olohuoneeseen
ja pitää ne käynnissä jatkuvasti.

Ilmanpuhdistimen käyttöönotto

• Ennen ilmanpuhdistimen käyttöönottoa: Täytä
aktiivihiilisuodattimet mukana olevilla hiilirakeilla (ks.
‘Aktiivihiilirakeiden vaihto’). Hiilirakeiden mukana olevaa
valkoista tarraa ei tarvita tämän ilmanpuhdistimen kanssa;
voit heittää sen pois.
Aktiivihiilen vaihtoilmaisinta ei vielä tarvitse nollata.

- Työnnä pistotulppa pistorasiaan.
Käynnistyspainikkeen (J) päällä oleva merkkivalo, näytön
numerot (00:00) ja kellon kuva a alkavat vilkkua (näin
tapahtuu myös sähkökatkon jälkeen).
Näyttö ei ole valaistu.

- Paina käynnistyspainiketta
(kuva 8).
Näyttö syttyy ja laite alkaa
käydä nopeudella 1.
Käynnistyspainikkeen päällä
oleva merkkivalo jää
palamaan osoittaen laitteen
olevan toiminnassa.

Manuaalinen asetus

• Kun haluat pitää huoneen ilman koko ajan puhtaana,
kannattaa laite pitää jatkuvasti käynnissä nopeudella 1 tai 2.

“Automaattitoiminto”

Automaattitoiminnossa ilmanpuhdistin valitsee automaattisesti
optimaalisen ilmanpuhdistusnopeuden. Jos käytetään
automaattitoimintoa, se on paras kytkeä jo ennen ilman
epäpuhtauksien syntymistä. Sisäänrakennettu kaasunilmaisin
(R ) tunnistaa sen huoneen kaasupitoisuuden, jossa
ilmanpuhdistin on.

“Automaattitoiminnon” asetus

- Käynnistä ilmanpuhdistin (kuva 13).
Käynnistyspainikkeen päällä oleva merkkivalo syttyy ja
näyttö syttyy.
Laite alkaa käydä nopeudella 1.

- Paina painiketta “Auto” (kuva 14).
Jos valitset automaattitoiminnon kolmen ensimmäisen
minuutin aikana käynnistyksestä, merkkivalo vilkkuu
oranssinvärisenä enintään 3 minuuttia. Tänä aikana
ilmanpuhdistin mittaa huoneen ilmanlaadun.

• Kun ilma on puhdasta, ilmanpuhdistin kytkeytyy
valmiustoimintoon ja “Auto”-merkkivalo vaihtuu vihreäksi
(kuva 15).
Käynnistyspainikkeen päällä oleva merkkivalo jää
palamaan.

• Jos kaasunilmaisin tunnistaa kaasun lisääntyneen, “Auto”­merkkivalo pysyy oranssinvärisenä ja laite vaihtaa
automaattisesti nopeudelle 1, 2 tai turbo (kuva 16).

• Jos haluat lopettaa automaattitoiminnon, paina uudelleen
painiketta “Auto”.
Painikkeen päällä oleva merkkivalo sammuu.

Kellon asetus

• Kello on asetettava, silloin kun ilmanpuhdistin yhdistetään
sähköverkkoon sekä uudelleen sähkökatkon jälkeen.
Tällöin alkavat käynnistyspainikkeen päällä oleva
merkkivalo, kellon kuva a ja näytön numerot (00:00)
vilkkua.

- Käynnistä ilmanpuhdistin (kuva 17).
Kellon kuva a ja numerot jäävät vilkkumaan.
Näyttö syttyy.

- Aseta aika painikkeella ▲ tai ▼ (kuva 18).
Jos painat painikkeita pidempään, numerot vaihtuvat
nopeammin.

- Kellonaika ja kellon kuva a eivät enää vilku näytössä
(kuva 19).

- Käynnistä kello painamalla ajanasetuspainiketta (M)
(kuva 20).
Kellon kuva a sammuu. Kaksoispisteen vilkkuminen
osoittaa kellon käyvän.

Kellonajan muuttaminen

- Käynnistä ilmanpuhdistin (kuva 21).

- Paina ajanasetuspainiketta (M) (kuva 22).
Kellon kuva a syttyy näyttöön

- Aseta uusi aika painikkeella ▲ tai ▼ (kuva 23). (Katso

- Paina lopuksi uudelleen ajanasetuspainiketta (M) (kuva 24).

Ajastin

• Ajastimen avulla voit ohjelmoida ennalta, miten pitkään
ilmanpuhdistin toimii ja millä nopeudella. Toimintoa voi
käyttää esimerkiksi silloin, kun ilmanpuhdistinta halutaan
käyttää tupakoinnin aikana tai muutama tunti tupakoinnin
jälkeen.
Ajastin on kätevä myös silloin, kun haluat käyttää laitetta
samaan aikaan joka päivä.
Käynnistämisen jälkeen ajastin laskee asetetun ajan
kulumisen ja katkaisee sitten ilmanpuhdistimen toiminnan.

• Voit ohjelmoida ilmanpuhdistimeen automaattitoiminnon tai
haluamasi nopeuden.

Ajastimen asetus ja asetuksen muuttaminen

- Käynnistä ilmanpuhdistin (kuva 25).

- Valitse haluttu nopeus painikkeella “Auto” tai manuaalisesti
nopeudenvalintapainikkeella.

- Paina ajanasetuspainiketta (M) kahdesti (kuva 26).
Näyttöön syttyy ilmaisin “OFF” sekä 0:00 tai aikaisemmin
asetettu toiminta-aika.

- Aseta toiminta-aika yhden minuutin tarkkuudella painikkeella
▲ tai ▼ (kuva 27).

- Paina ajanasetuspainiketta (M) (kuva 28).
Ilmaisin “OFF” jää näkyviin ja ajastimen merkki Ò syttyy.
Kaksoispiste alkaa vilkkua 3 sekunnin kuluttua osoittaen
ajastimen laskevan asetettua aikaa.

• Jos ajastimen merkki Ò alkaa vilkkua ja/tai häviää
asetuksen aikana, ajastimen asetus ei

onnistunut. Aseta

ajastin uudelleen.

- Kun asetettu toiminta-aika on kulunut, ilmanpuhdistimen
toiminta katkeaa.
Näytön valo, käynnistyspainikkeen päällä oleva merkkivalo,
ilmaisin “OFF” ja ajastimen merkki Ò sammuvat.

• Ohjelma tallentuu muistiin ja se voidaan kytkeä uudelleen
ajanasetuspainikkeella, kun laitetta seuraavan kerran
käytetään (katso kohtaa “Ajastimen asetuksen palautus”).

Ajastimen katkaiseminen

- Jos haluat katkaista
ajastimen toiminnan tai
keskeyttää asetuksen, paina
ajanasetuspainiketta (M)

vähintään 3 sekuntia

(kuva 29).
Kellonaika vaihtuu näyttöön.

Ajastimen asetuksen palautus

Jos olet aikaisemmin ohjelmoinut laitteeseen toiminta-ajan, voit
käyttää uudelleen samaa asetusta nopeasti ja helposti:

- Käynnistä ilmanpuhdistin (kuva 30).

- Paina ajanasetuspainiketta (M) vähintään 3 sekuntia,
kunnes ilmaisin “OFF” ja ajastimen merkki Ò syttyvät
näyttöön (kuva 31).
Aikaisemmin asetettu toiminta-aika näytetään ja ajan
laskeminen alkaa

Kellonajan näyttö ajastimen laskiessa aikaa

Voit katsoa kellonajan
ajastimen laskiessa aikaa
painamalla
ajanasetuspainiketta (M) kerran
(kuva 32). Kellonaika ilmestyy
näyttöön muutamaksi
sekunniksi. Sen jälkeen ajan
laskeminen jatkuu.

Ilmanpuhdistimen avaaminen

Etulevyssä oleva turvalukko estää etulevyn avaamisen
ilmanpuhdistimen ollessa käynnissä. Turvalukko estää myös
laitteen käynnistämisen etulevyn ollessa pois paikaltaan.

- Katkaise ilmanpuhdistimen
toiminta (kuva 33).

- Irrota etulevy vetämällä sitä
toisesta reunasta itseesipäin
(kuva 34).

Huom. Varo painamasta
ohjauspaneelia, kun avaat
ilmanpuhdistimen
etupaneelia (kuva 35).

Esisuodattimen puhdistus

Puhdista esisuodatin vähintään joka toinen kuukausi ja
useammin, jos laite alkaa pitää kovempaa ääntä tai sitä
pidetään huoneessa, jossa tupakoidaan

- Poista esisuodatin (kuva 36).

- Puhdista esisuodatin pesemällä (kuva 37) tai imuroimalla.

- Jos käytät pesuainetta, huuhtele suodatin kunnolla
(kuva 38).

- Anna suodattimen kuivua itsestään (kuva 39), ennen kuin
laitat sen takaisin laitteeseen.

HEPA-suodattimen tarkastus/vaihto

- Tarkasta HEPA-suodattimen kunto vertaamalla sen väriä
HEPA-suodattimen vaihtoilmaisimen (F) väreihin (kuva 40).

- Vaihda HEPA-suodatin, kun sen väri vastaa ilmaisimen
tumminta harmaata väriä (kuva 41).

- Uusia HEPA-suodattimia on saatavissa tuotenumerolla HR

4940.

Aktiivihiilirakeiden vaihto

• Vaihda
aktiivihiilisuodattimien
hiilirakeet, kun vaihtoilmaisin
(Q) alkaa vilkkua (aluksi) tai
palaa jatkuvasti
(myöhemmin).
Muista nollata vaihtoilmaisin
(katso “Aktiivihiilen
vaihtoilmaisimen nollaus):

- Poista aktiivihiilisuodattimet
laitteesta (kuva 42).

- Avaa varovasti
aktiivihiilisuodattimen kansi (kuva 43).

- Heitä vaahtomuovisuojus ja vanhat hiilirakeet pois
(kuva 44).

- Ota uusi pakkaus hiilirakeita, katkaise muoviulokkeet
(kuva 45) ja poista kansi (kuva 46).

Aktiivihiilen vaihtoilmaisimen nollaus

Kun olet laittanut aktiivihiilisuodattimet takaisin paikalleen,
vaihtoilmaisin on nollattava

- Käynnistä ilmanpuhdistin (kuva 52).

- Paina vaihtoilmaisimen nollauspainiketta (P) vähintään 3
sekuntia (kuva 53).
Merkkivalo syttyy tai jää palamaan 3 sekunniksi, minkä
jälkeen se sammuu osoituksena siitä, että ilmaisin on
nollattu.

Lämpötilanrajoitin

Laitteen sisäänrakennettu lämpötilanrajoitin pysäyttää
tuulettimen moottorin, jos tämä kuumenee liikaa, mikä estää
vahinkojen sattumista ja vähentää turvallisuusriskiä.
Merkkivalo jää palamaan osoittaen, että laite on edelleen
kytketty toimintaan ja liitetty sähköverkkoon.
Jos näin tapahtuu:

- Katkaise ilmanpuhdistimen toiminta.

- Irrota pistotulppa pistorasiasta

- Anna moottorin jäähtyä (noin 15 minuuttia).

- Avaa laite. Tarkasta, että suodattimet eivät ole tukossa eikä
mikään haittaa ilmankiertoa.

- Tarkasta, että tuuletin
pääsee pyörimään vapaasti
kädellä liikutettaessa (kuva

54).

- Sulje laite. Yhdistä
pistotulppa takaisin
pistorasiaan ja käynnistä
ilmanpuhdistin.

Jos lämpötilanrajoitin katkaisee
toiminnan uudelleen, on syytä
toimittaa laite huoltoon
tarkastettavaksi.

Oikeus muutoksiin varataan.

Η συσκευή καθαρισµού Αέρα της Philips είναι µια πολύ
αποτελεσµατική συσκευή που µπορεί να βελτιώσει
αποτελεσµατικά την ποι!τητα του αέρα που αναπνέετε στο σπίτι
και στο γραφείο. Η συσκευή µειώνει σηµαντικά τη µ!λυνση του
αέρα σε εσωτερικούς χώρους που προκαλείται απ! γύρη, σκ!νη,
βακτηρίδια, µύκητες, µούχλα και καπν! καθώς και πολλές άλλες
οσµές, !πως είναι αυτές απ! το µαγείρεµα και οσµές απ! τον
εξωτερικ! χώρο απ! την κυκλοφορία ή τη βιοµηχανία.

Κατά τη σύγκριση των συσκευών καθαρισµού αέρα,
διαπιστώνεται !τι χρησιµοποιούνται πολλά κριτήρια απ! τους
προµηθευτές για να δηλώσουν π!σο αποτελεσµατικές είναι οι
συσκευές τους. Το µέτρο που δείχνει καλύτερα την
αποτελεσµατικ!τητα µιας συσκευής καθαρισµού αέρα είναι ο
Ρυθµ!ς Παροχής Καθαρού Αέρα (CADR). Γενικά, µια συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα µε υψηλ! CADR θα αφαιρέσει τα σωµατίδια
που υπάρχουν στον αέρα γρηγορ!τερα απ! µια µε µικρ!τερο
CADR.

Πώσ λειτουργεί η Συσκευή Καθαρισµού Αέρα τησ Philips;

Η συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα αναρροφά τον αέρα µέσα απ! το
µπροστιν! της τµήµα και απ! τις δύο πλευρές. Ο αναρροφηµένος
αέρας φιλτράρεται απ! τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα. Μετά το
φιλτράρισµα, καθαρ!ς αέρας εξέρχεται απ! το άνω τµήµα της
συσκευής. Για την αφαίρεση και των µικρ!τερων σωµατιδίων απ!
τον αέρα, η συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα έχει εξοπλιστεί µε ένα
µοναδικ! σύστηµα φίλτρου 3 σταδίων.

1 Προφίλτρο

Το πλεν!µενο προφίλτρο πιάνει τα µεγάλα σωµατίδια που
υπάρχουν στον αέρα !πως είναι το χνούδι, οι τρίχες, κλπ.

2 Φίλτρο HEPA

Τα φίλτρο HEPA αφαιρεί τα µικρ!τερα σωµατίδια απ! τον αέρα.
Το φίλτρο είναι κατασκευασµένο απ! ίνες υάλου δεµένες τ!σο
πολύ κοντά µαζί ώστε να εµποδίζουν και στα πάρα πολύ µικρά
σωµατίδια να περνούν απ! το φίλτρο. Στα περισσ!τερα
χειρουργεία των νοσοκοµείων χρησιµοποιούνται φίλτρα ίδιου
τύπου.

3 Φίλτρα ενεργού άνθρακα

Το τελικ! στάδιο αποτελείται απ! δύο φίλτρα ενεργού άνθρακα.
Ο ενεργ!ς άνθρακας είναι το µ!νο υλικ! το οποίο απορροφά
αποτελεσµατικά τα περισσ!τερα αέρια που προκαλούν, µεταξύ
άλλων, εν!χληση λ!γω οσµών.

Προσοχή

• ∆ιαβάστε τισ οδηγίεσ προσεκτικά πριν απ τη χρήση τησ
συσκευήσ.

• Μη βάζετε ποτέ τη συσκευή σε νερ ή σε οποιοδήποτε
άλλο υγρ.

• Μη χρησιµοποιείτε τη συσκευή σε εξωτερικ χώρο ή σε
υγρ περιβάλλον.

• Μπορείτε να καθαρίσετε τη συσκευή µε ένα υγρ πανί.
Βγάλτε τη απ την πρίζα πριν την καθαρίσετε.

• Μην ακουµπάτε τα κινητά µέρη ταν ανοίγετε τη συσκευή.
Αφήστε τον ανεµιστήρα να σταµατήσει µνοσ του.

• Κρατάτε το καλώδιο παροχήσ µακριά απ θερµέσ
επιφάνειεσ.

• Εάν προκληθεί ζηµιά στο καλώδιο παροχήσ αυτήσ τησ
συσκευήσ, πρέπει να αντικατασταθεί µνο απ
εξουσιοδοτηµένο κέντρο σέρβισ τησ Philips, καθώσ
απαιτούνται ειδικά εργαλεία και/ή ανταλλακτικά για την
επισκευή.

• Μην εκθέτετε τον αισθητήρα καπνού απευθείασ σε πηγή
θερµτητασ ή σε πολύ δυνατέσ οσµέσ. Για παράδειγµα, µη
χρησιµοποιείτε τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα ωσ
απορροφητήρα για το µαγείρεµα πάνω απ την κουζίνα
σασ.

• Μη ψεκάζετε προσ την κατεύθυνση του αισθητήρα καπνού
µε σπρέυ ψεκασµού.

• Οταν φεύγετε απ το δωµάτιο για αρκετή ώρα, κλείστε τη
ρύθµιση ‘Auto’ (Αυτµατο).

• Η συσκευή επηρεάζει την κυκλοφορία του αέρα στο
δωµάτιο. ∆εν συνιστάται να χρησιµοποιείται η συσκευή
κοντά σε φλγεσ.

Τοποθέτηση τησ συσκευήσ
καθαρισµού αέρα

• Σαν καν!νας, η συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα πρέπει να
τοποθετείται σε κεντρική θέση
και πρέπει να τοποθετείται στο
δάπεδο µε την πλάτη της στον
τοίχο ή να κρεµαστεί σε τοίχο
(εικ. 2-4).

• Το επιπλέον καλώδιο µπορεί
να αποθηκευτεί στο πίσω

µέρος (Ι) της συσκευής (εικ. 1).

• Μην καλύπτετε ποτέ τις
εισ!δους και την έξοδο του
αέρα (εικ. 5).

• Οταν χρησιµοποιείτε συσκευή
θέρµανσης: τοποθετήστε τη
συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα µε
τέτοιο τρ!πο ώστε η ροή του
αέρα που προκαλείται απ! τη
συσκευή να συµπίπτει µε τη
ροή αέρα εκ µεταφοράς της
συσκευής θέρµανσης. Πρέπει
εποµένως να τοποθετείτε τη
συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα

δίπλα στο καλοριφέρ ή σε άλλη συσκευή θέρµανσης (εικ. 6-7).

• Είναι δυνατ!ν να χρησιµοποιηθούν περισσ!τερες απ! µία
συσκευές καθαρισµού αέρα σε ένα δωµάτιο. Αυτ! συνιστάται
εάν το δωµάτιο είναι µεγάλο και/ή έχει ακαν!νιστο σχήµα. Σε
αυτή την περίπτωση είναι καλύτερα να τοποθετήσετε και τις
δύο συσκευές στον ίδιο τοίχο, αλλά !σο γίνεται πιο µακριά η
µία απ! την άλλη.

• Για σωστ! καθαρισµ! του αέρα σε ένα δωµάτιο, συνιστάται να
χρησιµοποιείτε µια συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα HR 4347 για
δωµάτια µε επιφάνεια έως περίπου 40 µ2(100 µ3).

• Συνιστάται ιδιαίτερα σε άτοµα που υποφέρουν απ! αλλεργίες
αναπνευστικού να τοποθετήσουν µια συσκευή καθαρισµού
αέρα στο καθιστικ! καθώς και στο υπνοδωµάτιο ώστε να
λειτουργούν συνεχώς και οι δύο συσκευές καθαρισµού αέρα.

Προετοιµασία τησ συσκευήσ καθαρισµού αέρα για χρήση

• Πριν χρησιµοποιήσετε τη συσκευή για πρώτη φορά: Γεµίστε τα
φίλτρα ενεργού άνθρακα µε τους κ!κκους άνθρακα που
διατίθενται (βλέπετε ‘Ελεγχος/αντικατάσταση ενεργού
άνθρακα’). Το λευκ! αυτοκ!λλητο που διατίθεται µαζί µε τους
κ!κκους, δε χρησιµοποιείται σε συνδυασµ! µε αυτού του τύπου
συσκευής καθαρισµού αέρα. Μπορείτε να το πετάξετε.
Ο δείκτης αντικατάστασης δε χρειάζεται να ρυθµιστεί ακ!µα.

- Βάλτε το φις του καλωδίου στην πρίζα του τοίχου.
Το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι λειτουργίας πάνω απ! τον ρυθµιστή
on/off (ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) (J), τα ψηφία στο καντράν (00:00) και το
σύµβολο το ρολογιού a
αρχίζουν να αναβοσβήνουν
(αυτ! θα συµβεί επίσης και µετά
απ! διακοπή ρεύµατος). Το
καντράν δεν έχει ανάψει.

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή on/off
(ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) (εικ. 8).
Το καντράν ανάβει και η
συσκευή αρχίζει να λειτουργεί
στην ταχύτητα 1. Το ενδεικτικ!
λαµπάκι λειτουργίας πάνω απ!
τον ρυθµιστή on/off
(ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) ανάβει
συνεχώς για να δείξει !τι η συσκευή είναι σε λειτουργία.

Χειροκίνητη ρύθµιση τησ συσκευήσ καθαρισµού αέρα

- Θέστε σε λειτουργία τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 9). Το
ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι πάνω απ! τον ρυθµιστή on/off
(ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) ανάβει και
ανάβει το καντράν. Η συσκευή
αρχίζει να λειτουργεί στην
ταχύτητα 1

- Επιλέξτε την ταχύτητα 1, 2 ή
turbo πατώντας τον έλεγχο
ταχύτητας (L) (εικ. 10). Τα
ενδεικτικά λαµπάκια δείχνουν
την επιλεγµένη ταχύτητα.

• Για γρήγορο καθαρισµ! αέρα,
επιλέξτε τη ρυθµίστε turbo (εικ.

11) και γυρίστε στην ταχύτητα 2

σας, λειτουργείτε συνεχώς τη συσκευή στην ταχύτητα 1 ή 2.

Θέση ‘Auto’ (αυτµατο)

Οταν ρυθµίζεται στη θέση ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο), η συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα επιλέγει αυτ!µατα την ταχύτητα η οποία
αφαιρεί αποτελεσµατικά τα περισσ!τερα αέρια απ! τον αέρα.
Είναι καλύτερα να ρυθµίσετε τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα στη
ρύθµιση ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο) πριν µολυνθεί ο αέρας. Ο αισθητήρας
αερίων (R) στη συσκευή καταγράφει τη συγκέντρωση αερίων στο
δωµάτιο στο οποίο λειτουργεί η συσκευή.

µικρ!τερη ταχύτητα.

Ρύθµιση τησ Θέσησ ‘Auto’ (αυτµατο)

- Ανάψτε τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 13). Το ενδεικτικ!
λαµπάκι πάνω απ! τον ρυθµιστή on/off (ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) ανάβει
και ανάβει το καντράν. Η συσκευή αρχίζει να λειτουργεί στην
ταχύτητα 1.

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο) (K) (εικ. 14). Εάν
επιλέξετε τη θέση ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο) µέσα σε τρία λεπτά µετά
το άνοιγµα της συσκευής, το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι θα γίνει
πορτοκαλί και θα αναβοσβήσει για το πολύ τρία λεπτά. Σε αυτ!
το χρ!νο, η συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα µετρά την ποι!τητα του
αέρα µέσα στο δωµάτιο.

• Οταν ο αέρας είναι καθαρ!ς, η συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα
γυρίζει στη θέση αναµονής και το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι
λειτουργίας πάνω απ! τον ρυθµιστή ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο) γίνεται
πράσινο (εικ. 15). Το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι λειτουργίας πάνω απ!
τον ρυθµιστή on/off (ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) συνεχίζει να ανάβει.

• Εάν ο αισθητήρας καπνού καταγράψει αύξηση στη
συγκέντρωση καπνού, το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι πάνω απ! τον
ρυθµιστή ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο) γίνεται πορτοκαλί και η συσκευή
γυρίζει αυτ!µατα στην ταχύτητα 1, 2 ή turbo (εικ. 16).

• Εάν δε θέλετε η συσκευή να λειτουργεί στη θέση ‘Auto’
(αυτ!µατο), πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο) µια φορά
ακ!µα. Το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι πάνω απ! τον ρυθµιστή θα
σβήσει

Ρύθµιση του ρολογιού

• Το ρολ!ι πρέπει να (επανα)ρυθµιστεί !ταν η συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα είναι συνδεδεµένη µε την τάση και κάθε
φορά που διακ!πτεται το ρεύµα στη συσκευή. Σε αυτή την
περίπτωση, το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι πάνω απ! τον ρυθµιστή
on/off (ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!), το σύµβολο του ρολογιού a και τα
ψηφία στο καντράν (00:00) αρχίζουν να αναβοσβήνουν.

- Ανάψτε τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 17).

Το σύµβολο του ρολογιού και τα ψηφία στο καντράν αρχίζουν
να αναβοσβήνουν. Το καντράν ανάβει.

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ▲ ή ▼ για να ρυθµίσετε το ρολ!ι (εικ.

18). Εάν πατήσετε τους ρυθµιστές λίγο ακ!µα, το ρολ!ι θα
προχωρήσει γρηγορ!τερα προς τα µπροστά ή πίσω.

- Το σύµβολο της ώρας και του ρολογιού a στον ρυθµιστή

σταµατούν να αναβοσβήνουν (εικ. 19).

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’ (ρύθµιση ώρας) (M) για να

ξεκινήσει η λειτουργία του ρολογιού (εικ. 20).
Το σύµβολο του ρολογιού a σβήνει. Η κολ!να αρχίζει να
αναβοσβήνει για να δείξει !τι το ρολ!ι λειτουργεί.

Αλλαγή τησ ρυθµισµένησ ώρασ

- Ανάψτε τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 21).

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’ (ρύθµιση ώρας) (M)

(εικ. 22).
Το σύµβολο του ρολογιού a εµφανίζεται στο καντράν.

- Επαναρυθµίστε την ώρα µε τη βοήθεια των ρυθµιστών ▲ ή ▼

(εικ. 23) (Βλέπετε ‘Ρύθµιση του ρολογιού’).

- Τελικά πατήστε πάλι τον ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’ (ρύθµιση ώρας)

(M) (εικ. 24).

Χρονοδιακπτησ

• Με το χρονοδιακ!πτη µπορείτε να προγραµµατίσετε για π!ση
ώρα και µε ποια ταχύτητα επιθυµείτε να λειτουργεί η συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα. Μπορείτε, για παράδειγµα, να
χρησιµοποιήσετε το χρονοδιακ!πτη εάν επιθυµείτε η συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα να λειτουργεί !ταν κάποιος καπνίζει και/ή
λίγες ώρες µετά απ! τ!τε που κάποιος κάπνισε.
Ο χρονοδιακ!πτης µπορεί επίσης να φανεί εύχρηστος εάν
χρησιµοποιείτε τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα κάθε ηµέρα για
κάποια χρονική περίοδο.
Οταν ενεργοποιήσετε το χρονοδιακ!πτη, θα αρχίσει την
αντίστροφη µέτρηση του καθορισµένου χρ!νου και τελικά θα
σβήσει τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα.

• Μπορείτε να προγραµµατίσετε είτε στη θέση ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο)
ή σε µια συγκεκριµένη ταχύτητα.

Ρύθµιση/αλλαγή χρονοδιακπτη

- Θέστε σε λειτουργία τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 25).

- Επιλέξτε την επιθυµητή ταχύτητα πατώντας τον ρυθµιστή

ρύθµισης ‘Auto’ (αυτ!µατο) ή θέτοντας τον ρυθµιστή της
ταχύτητας στην επιθυµητή θέση.

- Πατήστε δύο φορές τον ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’ (ρύθµιση ώρας)
(M) (εικ. 26).
Στο καντράν εµφανίζεται το σύµβολο ‘OFF’ (σβηστ!) καθώς και
το 0:00 ή ο ήδη προγραµµατισµένος χρ!νος λειτουργίας.

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ▲ ή ▼ για να ρυθµίσετε το χρ!νο
λειτουργίας (µε ακρίβεια λεπτού (εικ. 27).

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’ (ρύθµιση ώρας) (M)(εικ. 28).
Το σύµβολο ‘OFF’ (σβηστ!) παραµένει ορατ! και το σύµβολο
του χρονοδιακ!πτη Ò εξαφανίζεται στο καντράν.
Μετά απ! τρία δευτερ!λεπτα η κολ!να αρχίζει να αναβοσβήνει
για να δείξει !τι έχει αρχίσει η αντίστροφη µέτρηση του
ρυθµισµένου χρ!νου λειτουργίας.

• Σηµειώστε, !τι εάν το σύµβολο του χρονοδιακ!πτη Ò ξεκινήσει
να αναβοσβήνει και/ή σβήσει ενώ ρυθµίζετε το χρονοδιακ!πτη,
ο χρονοδιακ!πτης δε θα έχει ρυθµιστεί σωστά. Στην περίπτωση
αυτή, ρυθµίστε ξανά το χρονοδιακ!πτη.

- Οταν τελειώσει η ρυθµισµένη περίοδος, η συσκευή καθαρισµού
αέρα σβήνει. Το φως στο καντράν εξαφανίζεται καθώς επίσης
και το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι πάνω απ! τον ρυθµιστή on/off
(ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) και τα σύµβολα ‘OFF’ (σβηστ!) και
χρονοδιακ!πτη Ò.

• Το πρ!γραµµα αποθηκεύεται στη µνήµη και µπορεί να
ανακληθεί µε τη βοήθεια του ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’ (ρύθµιση
ώρας) !ταν χρησιµοποιηθεί ξανά η συσκευή (βλέπετε
‘Ανάκληση της ρύθµισης του προγραµµατιστή’).

Σβήσιµο του χρονοδιακπτη

- Για να σβήσετε το

χρονοδιακ!πτη ή για να
διακ!ψετε το πρ!γραµµα του
χρονοδιακ!πτη, πατήστε τον
ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’
(ρύθµιση ώρας) για

τουλάχιστον 3 δευτερλεπτα

(εικ.29). Στο καντράν
εµφανίζεται η ώρα.

Ανάκληση τησ ρύθµισησ του χρονοδιακπτη

Εάν έχετε προγραµµατίσει ένα χρ!νο λειτουργίας, µπορείτε
εύκολα και γρήγορα να ανακαλέσετε το πρ!γραµµα αυτ! και να
το χρησιµοποιήσετε ξανά:

- Θέστε σε λειτουργία τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 30).

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή ‘time setting’ (ρύθµιση ώρας) (M) για

τουλάχιστον 3 δευτερ!λεπτα µέχρι το σύµβολο ‘OFF’ (σβηστ!)
και το σύµβολο του χρονοδιακ!πτη Ò να εµφανιστούν στον
ρυθµιστή (εικ. 31).
Ο προγραµµατισµένος χρ!νος λειτουργίας εµφανίζεται και ο
χρονοδιακ!πτης ξεκινά να λειτουργεί.

Παρακολούθηση το ρολογιού ενώ λειτουργεί ο χρονοδιακπτησ

Μπορείτε να βλέπετε το ρολ!ι
ενώ ο χρονοδιακ!πτης έχει
αρχίσει την αντίστροφη µέτρηση
πατώντας τον ρυθµιστή ‘time
setting’ (ρύθµιση ώρας) (M)
(εικ. 32). Τ!τε εµφανίζεται το
ρολ!ι στο καντράν για λίγα
δευτερ!λεπτα. Μετά απ! αυτ!,
επανεµφανίζεται ο
χρονοδιακ!πτης.

Ανοιγµα τησ συσκευήσ καθαρισµού αέρα

Σηµειώστε !τι το µπροστιν! τµήµα της συσκευής καθαρισµού

αέρα διαθέτει µε αυτ!µατη ασφάλεια η οποία καθιστά αδύνατο
για εσάς να θέσετε σε λειτουργία τη συσκευή ενώ αυτή
λειτουργεί. Η αυτ!µατη ασφάλεια διασφαλίζει !τι δεν µπορείτε
να ανάψετε τη συσκευή !ταν έχει αφαιρεθεί το µπροστιν! τµήµα.

- Σβήστε τη συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 33).

- Αφαιρέστε το µπροστιν! τµήµα
της συσκευής τραβώντας το
προς τα εσάς στη µια πλευρά
(εικ. 34).

ΣΗΜΕΙΩΣΗ: Μη πιέζετε ποτέ
πάνω στον πίνακα ελέγχου
ταν ανοίγετε τη συσκευή
καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 35).

Καθαρισµσ του προφίλτρου

Καθαρίζετε το προφίλτρο τουλάχιστον µία φορά κάθε δύο µήνες
και πιο συχνά εάν η συσκευή γίνει πιο θορυβώδης και εάν
χρησιµοποιείται σε δωµάτιο !που υπάρχουν καπνιστές.

- Αφαιρέστε το προφίλτρο (εικ. 36).

- Καθαρίστε το προφίλτρο πλένοντάς το (εικ. 37) ή καθαρίζοντάς

το µε την ηλεκτρική σκούπα.

- Εάν έχετε χρησιµοποιήσει υγρ! καθαρισµού, ξεπλύνετε τα
φίλτρα µε καθαρ! νερ! (εικ. 38).

- Αφήστε το φίλτρο να στεγνώσει φυσικά (εικ. 39) πριν το βάλετε
πάλι στη συσκευή.

Ελεγχοσ/αντικατάσταση φίλτρου HEPA

- Για να ελέγξετε εάν το φίλτρο HEPA χρειάζεται αντικατάσταση,

συγκρίνετε το χρώµα του φίλτρου HEPA µε τις αποχρώσεις στο
δείκτη αντικατάστασης του φίλτρου HEPA (εικ. 40).

- Εάν το χρώµα του φίλτρου αντιστοιχεί στην πιο σκούρα

απ!χρωση του γκρι στο δείκτη αντικατάστασης του φίλτρου
HEPA, αντικαταστήστε το φίλτρο HEPA (εικ. 41)

- Καινούργια φίλτρα HEPA διατίθενται απ! τον αντιπρ!σωπ! σας

µε τον κωδικ! HR 4940.

Αντικατάσταση των κκκων του ενεργού άνθρακα

• Αφαιρέστε και

αντικαταστήσετε τον ενεργ!
άνθρακα !ταν το ενδεικτικ!
λαµπάκι του δείκτη
αντικατάστασης (Q) αρχίζει να
αναβοσβήνει (αρχικά) ή ανάβει
συνεχώς (αργ!τερα).
Μη ξεχάσετε να
επαναρυθµίσετε το δείκτη
αντικατάστασης του φίλτρου
(βλέπετε ‘Επαναρύθµιση
δείκτη αντικατάστασης
ενεργού άνθρακα’):

- Αφαιρέστε τα φίλτρα ενεργού άνθρακα (εικ. 42).

- Ανοίξτε προσεκτικά την πάνω πλευρά του φίλτρου ενεργού

άνθρακα (εικ. 43).

- Πετάξτε το αφρώδες µαξιλαράκι και το χρησιµοποιηµένο

άνθρακα στο καλάθι αχρήστων (εικ. 44).

- Πάρτε ένα νέο δοχείο κ!κκων άνθρακα κ!ψτε τις πλαστικές

προεξοχές (εικ. 45) και αφαιρέστε το σκέπασµα (εικ. 46).

- Τοποθετήστε το φίλτρο

ανάποδα πάνω στο νέο δοχείο
των κ!κκων άνθρακα και
ταιριάξτε τις γωνίες τη µια
πάνω στην άλλη (εικ. 47).

- Γυρίστε το δοχείο µε το φίλτρο απ! πάνω και µε τα δύο χέρια
(εικ. 48). Ανακινήστε τους κ!κκους µέσα στο φίλτρο και
βεβαιωθείτε !τι έχουν κατανεµηθεί οµοι!µορφα (εικ. 49).

- Αφαιρέστε το πλαστικ! δοχείο και βάλτε ένα νέο αφρώδες
µαξιλαράκι πάνω απ! τον ενεργ! άνθρακα (εικ. 50).

- Κλείστε πάλι το πάνω µέρος του φίλτρου (εικ. 51).

- Επαναλάβατε αυτή τη διαδικασία για το δεύτερο φίλτρο.

- Καινούργιοι κ!κκοι άνθρακα διατίθενται απ! τον αντιπρ!σωπ!

σας µε τον κωδικ! HR 4941.

Επαναρύθµιση του δείκτη αντικατάστασησ του ενεργού άνθρακα

Αφού αντικαταστήσετε τον ενεργ! άνθρακα, πρέπει να
επαναρυθµιστεί ο δείκτης αντικατάστασης:

- Θέστε σε λειτουργία τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα (εικ. 52)

- Πατήστε τον ρυθµιστή επαναρύθµισης (P) για τουλάχιστον 3

δευτερλεπτα (εικ. 53). Το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι ανάβει για 3
δευτερ!λεπτα και µετά σβήνει για να δείξει !τι δείκτης έχει
επαναρυθµιστεί.

Αυτµατη ασφάλεια διακοπήσ για την αποφυγή υπερθέρµανσησ

Για την αποφυγή βλάβης στη συσκευή λ!γω υπερθέρµανσης και
για τον περιορισµ! κινδύνων, η αυτ!µατη ασφάλεια διακοπής
διασφαλίζει !τι ο κινητήρας έχει κλείσει !ταν υπερθερµαίνεται.
Για να φανεί !τι η συσκευή είναι ακ!µα αναµµένη και
συνδεδεµένη στην τάση, το ενδεικτικ! λαµπάκι του ελέγχου
on/off (ανοιχτ!/σβηστ!) θα συνεχίσει να είναι αναµµένο.
Εάν συµβεί αυτ!:

- Σβήστε τη συσκευή καθαρισµού αέρα.

- Τραβήξτε το φις του καλωδίου της συσκευής καθαρισµού αέρα

απ! την πρίζα.

- Αφήστε τη συσκευή να κρυώσει (περίπου 15 λεπτά).

- Αφαιρέστε το µπροστιν! τµήµα της συσκευής. Βεβαιωθείτε !τι

τα φίλτρα δεν είναι καλυµµένα
ή φραγµένα και !τι δεν
παρεµποδίζεται η ροή του
αέρα.

- Ελέγξτε !τι ο ανεµιστήρας

µπορεί να περιστραφεί
ελεύθερα γυρνώντας τον µε το
χέρι σας (εικ.54).

- Κλείστε τη συσκευή. Βάλτε το

φις του καλωδίου στην πρίζα
του τοίχου και θέστε σε
λειτουργία πάλι τη συσκευή.

Εάν η αυτ!µατη ασφάλεια
διακοπής ενεργοποιηθεί ξανά, συνιστάται να πάτε τη συσκευή
σας στον αντιπρ!σωπ! σας για τεχνικ! έλεγχο.
