Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference.
Danger
- Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid and do not rinse it under the tap. Only use a moist cloth to clean the motor unit.
Warning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other parts are damaged or have visible cracks.
- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Do not touch the cutting edges of the blade units under any conditions, especially when the appliance is plugged in. The cutting edges are very sharp.
- Never use a chopper blade unit without a chopper bowl.
- To avoid splashing, always immerse the blender bar into the ingredients before you switch on the appliance, especially when you process hot ingredients.
- Be careful when you pour hot liquid into the beaker, as hot liquid and steam may cause scalding.
- If one of the blade unit gets stuck, unplug the appliance before you remove the ingredients that block the blade units.
Caution
- None of the accessories is suitable for use in the microwave.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if you leave it unattended and before you assemble, disassemble or clean it.
- Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that Philips does not specically recommend. If you use such accessories or parts, your guarantee becomes invalid.
- This appliance is intended for household use only. If the appliance is used improperly or for professional or semi­professional purposes or if it is not used according to the instructions in the user manual, the guarantee becomes invalid and Philips refuses any liability for damage caused.
- Only use this appliance for its intended purpose as shown in the user manual.
- Never ll the beaker, XL chopper bowl (specic types only) or compact chopper bowl (specic types only) with ingredients that are hotter than 80°C/175°F.
- Do not exceed the quantities and processing times indicated in the table.
- Do not use the appliance with any of the accessories longer than 3 minutes without interruption. Let the appliance cool down for 15 minutes before you continue processing.
- Clean the blade unit of the blender bar under the tap. Never immerse in water.
- After cleaning, let the blender bar dry. Store it either horizontally or withthe blade pointing upwards. Make sure the blade unit is completely dry before you store the blender bar.
- Maximum noise level: 85db(A)
Overheat protection
This appliance is equipped with overheat protection. If the appliance overheats, it switches o automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for 10 minutes. Then put the mains plug back into the wall socket and switch on the appliance again. Please contact your Philips dealer or an authorised Philips service centre if the overheat protection is activated too often.
Electromagnetic elds (EMF)
- This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and regulations regarding exposure to electromagnetic elds.
Using the appliance
Using the hand blender
Note: Do not use the hand blender to process hard ingredients (e.g. ice cubes).
Using the double beater (HR2636 only)
Tip: When you beat egg whites, use a large bowl for the best result. Tip: When you whip cream, use a beaker to avoid splashing.
Note:Do not process more than 1 batch without interruption.
Note: Do not use the double beater to prepare dough.
Using the chopper
Caution: Be very careful when you handle the chopper blade unit, the cutting edges are very sharp. Be particularly careful when you remove the blade unit from the chopper bowl, when you empty the chopper bowl and during cleaning.
Notes:
- If the ingredients stick to the wall of the chopper bowl, switch o the appliance. Then loosen the ingredients by adding liquid or using a spatula.
- Always let the appliance cool down after chopping meat.
- For the best results when processing beef, please use refrigerated beef cubes.

Breakfast spread recipe
Ingredients
- 120g honey
- 110g prunes
1 Put the honey in the fridge for several hours at 3°C. 2 Put the XL chopper blade unit in the XL chopper bowl. 3
Put the prunes in the XL chopper bowl and pour the honey over them.
4 Put the bowl with the prunes in the fridge for 1 hour at 3°C. 5 Put the XL chopper lid on the bowl and then fasten the motor unit
onto the bowl.
6 Press the turbo button and let the chopper operate for 5 seconds.
