Important

Read these instructions for use carefully before
using the appliance and save them for future
reference.

◗ Only use the powerplug supplied to charge

the appliance.

◗ The powerplug transforms 100-240 volts to a

safe low voltage of less than 24 volts.

◗ Only use the powerplug that comes with the

appliance to guarantee safe transformation.

◗ The powerplug contains a transformer. Do

not cut off the powerplug to replace it with
another plug, as this will cause a hazardous
situation.

◗ If the powerplug is damaged, always have it

replaced by one of the original type in order
to avoid a hazard.

◗ Make sure the powerplug does not get wet.
◗ Charge, store and use the appliance at a

temperature between 5cC and 35cC.

◗ Do not recharge the shaver in a closed pouch.

◗ The appliance complies with the

internationally approved IEC safety regulations
and can be safely cleaned under the tap.

Be careful with hot water. Always check if the
water is not too hot, to prevent your hands from
getting burnt.

◗ Always unplug the shaver before cleaning it

under the tap.

Charging

When you charge the shaver for the first time or
after a long period of disuse, leave it to charge
continuously for 4 hours.
Charging normally takes approx. 1 hour.
Do not leave the appliance connected to the
mains for more than 24 hours.
You can also shave without charging by
connecting the shaver to the mains.

◗ When you are charging the empty shaver, the

bottom pilot light burns red.When the
batteries contain sufficient power for one
shave, the bottom pilot light starts to blink
green.

As charging continues, more and more green pilot
lights go on to indicate to what level the batteries
have been charged.

◗ When the batteries have been fully charged,

all green pilot lights are on.

Remaining capacity

◗ The amount of power left in the batteries is

indicated by the number of pilot lights that
are on. As the amount of power decreases,
the lights gradually go out one after the other.

Batteries running low

◗ When the batteries are running low, the

bottom pilot light turns red.When you switch
the shaver off, the red light blinks for 4
seconds.

Charging the appliance

Do not recharge the shaver in a closed pouch.

1 Put the appliance plug in the shaver.

2 Put the powerplug in the wall socket.

3 Remove the powerplug from the wall

socket and pull the appliance plug out of
the shaver when the batteries have been
fully charged.

Cordless shaving time

A fully charged shaver has a cordless shaving time
of up to 70 minutes.

Using the appliance

Shaving

1 Switch the shaver on by pressing the on/off

button once.

2 Move the shaving heads quickly over your

skin, making both straight and circular
movements.

Shaving on a dry face gives the best results.
Your skin may need 2 or 3 weeks to get
accustomed to the Philishave system.

3 Switch the shaver off by pressing the on/off

button once.

4 Put the protection cap on the shaver every

time you have used it, to prevent damage.

Trimming

For grooming sideburns and moustache.

5 Open the trimmer by pushing the slide

upwards.

The trimmer can be activated while the motor is
running.

Cleaning and maintenance

Regular cleaning guarantees a better shaving
performance.

The easiest and most hygienic way to clean the
appliance is to rinse the shaving unit and the hair
chamber with hot water every time you have
used the shaver.
Be careful with hot water. Always check if the
water is not too hot, to prevent your hands from
getting burnt.

◗ For easy and optimal cleaning, the Philishave

Action Clean (shaving-head cleaner, type
HQ100) is available.Ask your Philishave dealer
for information.

The Philishave Action Clean may not be available
in all countries. Contact the Customer Care Centre
in your country about the availability of this
accessory.

You can also clean the shaver in the following
way:

Every day: shaving unit and hair chamber

When you clean the appliance, it is not necessary
to take the shaving heads (cutters and guards)
apart. If you want to take them apart, be sure not
to mix up the cutters and guards, since grinding of
the cutters in the guards only guarantees optimal
performance for each matching set. If you
accidentally mix up the sets, it could take several

weeks before optimal shaving performance is
restored.

1 Switch the shaver off, remove the

powerplug from the wall socket and pull
the appliance plug out of the shaver.

2 Press the release button (1) and open the

shaving unit (2).

C

3 Clean the shaving unit and the hair

chamber by rinsing them under a hot tap
for some time.

4 Close the shaving unit and shake off excess

water.

Never dry the shaving unit with a towel or tissue
as this may damage the shaving heads.

5 Open the shaving unit again and leave it

open to let the appliance dry completely.

You can also clean the hair chamber without
water by using the brush supplied.

Trimmer

Clean the trimmer every time you have used it.

1 Switch the shaver off, remove the

powerplug from the wall socket and pull
the appliance plug out of the shaver.

2 Clean the trimmer with the brush

supplied.

3 Lubricate the trimmer teeth with a drop

of sewing machine oil every six months.

Storage

◗ Put the protection cap on the shaver to

prevent damage.

◗ The appliance can be stored in the pouch

supplied.

Replacement

Replace the shaving heads every two years for
optimal shaving results.

Replace damaged or worn shaving heads with
Philishave HQ6 Quadra shaving heads only.

1 Switch the shaver off, remove the

powerplug from the wall socket and pull
the appliance plug out of the shaver.

2 Press the release button (1) to open the

shaving unit (2).

3 Turn the wheel anti-clockwise (1) and

remove the retaining frame (2).

4 Remove the shaving heads and place the

new ones in the shaving unit in such a way
that the parts with the small holes point
towards the centre of the shaving unit.

Make sure that the projections of the shaving
heads fit exactly into the recesses.

5 Put the retaining frame back into the

shaving unit, press the wheel (1) and turn it
clockwise (2).

- HQ8000 powerplug.

- HQ100 Philishave Action Clean (shaving head
cleaner).

- HQ101 Philishave Action Clean refill (shaving
head cleaning liquid).

Environment

The built-in rechargeable batteries contain
substances that may pollute the environment.

Disposal of batteries

Remove the batteries when you discard the
appliance. Do not throw the batteries away with

the normal household waste, but hand them in at
an official collection point.You can also take the
appliance to a Philips service centre, which will
remove the batteries for you and will dispose of
them in an environmentally safe way.
Only remove the batteries if they are completely
empty.

1 Remove the powerplug from the wall

socket and pull the appliance plug out of
the shaver.

2 Let the shaver run until it stops, open the

trimmer, undo the screws and open the
shaver.

3 Remove the batteries.

Do not connect the shaver to the mains again
after the batteries have been removed.

Troubleshooting

1 Reduced shaving performance

B

Cause 1: the shaving heads are dirty.

B

The shaver has not been rinsed long enough or
the water used was not hot enough.

◗ Clean the shaver thoroughly before you

continue shaving (see chapter 'Cleaning and
maintenance').

B

Cause 2: long hairs are obstructing the shaving
heads.

C

◗ Open the shaving unit, turn the wheel anti-

clockwise (1) and remove the retaining frame
(2).

C

◗ Clean the cutters and guards.

Do not clean more than one cutter and guard at
a time, since they are all matching sets. If you
accidentally mix up the cutters and guards, it may
take several weeks before optimal shaving
performance is restored.

◗ Remove the hairs with the brush supplied.
◗ Put the shaving heads back into the shaving

unit, put the retaining frame back into the
shaving unit, press the wheel and turn it
clockwise.

Cause 3: shaving heads are damaged or worn.

◗ Remove the retaining frame.

◗ Remove the old shaving heads from the

shaving unit and replace them with new ones

Damaged or worn shaving heads (cutters and
guards) must only be replaced with the original
Philishave HQ6 Quadra shaving heads.

◗ Put the retaining plate back into the shaving

unit, press the wheel and turn it clockwise.

2 The shaver does not work when the

ON/OFF button is pressed

Cause: the batteries are empty.

◗ Recharge the batteries. See chapter 'Charging'.
◗ The shaving unit has not been placed

correctly.

3 Shaving unit has come off the shaver

C

◗ If the shaving unit becomes detached from the

shaver, check whether the hinge spring is still
properly attached, i.e. has not come loose and
does not show any cracks or damage. If the
hinge spring is still properly attached, the
shaving unit can be easily put back on the
shaver again. However, if the hinge spring has
come loose, is cracked or damaged, please
contact your Philips dealer or the nearest
Philips service centre to avoid damage to your
shaver.

◗ Ziehen Sie stets das Netzteil aus der

Steckdose, bevor Sie den Rasierer unter
fließendem Wasser reinigen.

Aufladen

Beim ersten Laden und wenn der Rasierer für
einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzt wurde,
sollte er 4 Stunden ununterbrochen geladen
werden.
Normalerweise ist der Akku nach ungefähr 1
Stunde voll aufgeladen.
Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht länger als 24 Stunden
ununterbrochen am Netz.
Sie können sich auch bei leeren Akkus rasieren,
indem Sie den Rasierapparat an das Netz
anschließen.

◗ Wenn Sie mit dem Laden beginnen, leuchtet

die unterste Kontrolllampe rot. Sobald die
Akkus ausreichend Energie für eine Rasur
enthalten, blinkt die unterste Kontrolllampe
grün.

Während des Ladevorgangs leuchten weitere
grüne Kontrolllampen auf und zeigen den
Ladestand der Akkus an.

◗ Wenn die Akkus voll geladen sind, leuchten

alle grünen Kontrolllampen.

Restkapazität

◗ Die in den Akkus verbleibende Energie wird

durch die Anzahl der leuchtenden
Kontrolllampen angezeigt. So wie die
Akkukapazität abnimmt, erlöschen auch die
Lampen nach einander.

Die Energie geht zur Neige

◗ Wenn die Akkukapazität zur Neige geht,

leuchtet die unterste Kontrolllampe rot.
Sobald Sie den Rasierer ausschalten, blinkt die
rote Lampe 4 Sekunden lang.

Laden des Geräts

Laden Sie den Rasierer nicht in einer
geschlossenen Tasche auf.

1 Stecken Sie den Gerätestecker in den

Rasierer.

2 Stecken Sie das Netzteil in die Steckdose.

3 Ziehen Sie das Netzteil aus der Steckdose

und den Gerätestecker aus dem Rasierer,
sobald die Akkus voll geladen sind.

Kabelfreie Rasierzeit

Mit voll aufgeladenen Akkus können Sie sich ca.
70 Minuten rasieren.

Benutzung des Geräts

Rasieren

1 Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie den

Ein-/Ausschalter drücken.

2 Führen Sie die Scherköpfe mit geraden und

kreisenden Bewegungen zügig über die
Haut.

Die beste Rasur erzielen Sie bei völlig trockener
Haut.
Wenn Sie sich zum ersten Mal mit einem
Philishave rasieren, benötigt Ihre Haut
möglicherweise 2 bis 3 Wochen, um sich an das
neue Schersystem zu gewöhnen.

3 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, indem Sie den

Ein-/Ausschalter drücken.

4 Setzen Sie die Schutzkappe nach jedem

Gebrauch auf den Rasierer, um
Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.

Der Langhaarschneider

Zum Trimmen von Koteletten und Schnurrbart.

5 Schieben Sie den Schalter aufwärts, um

den Langhaarschneider zu öffnen.

Der Langhaarschneider lässt sich bei laufendem
Motor aktivieren.

Reinigung und Wartung

Regelmäßiges Reinigen sorgt für eine bessere
Rasur und verlängert die Nutzungsdauer des
Geräts.

Am einfachsten und hygienischsten reinigen Sie
den Rasierer, indem Sie Schereinheit und
Bartfangkammer nach jedem Gebrauch unter
heißem Wasser ausspülen.
Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit heißem Wasser um
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Wasser nicht zu hei
ist und Sie sich nicht die Hände verbrühen.

◗ Mit dem Philishave Reinigungsgerät "Action

Clean" HQ 100 können Sie alle Scherköpfe
schnell und hygienisch reinigen. Fragen Sie
Ihren Philips-Händler.

Möglicherweise ist der Philishave Action Clean
Scherkopfreiniger nicht in jedem Land erhältlich.

Sie können den Rasierer auch auf die folgende
Weise reinigen:

Täglich: Schereinheit und Bartfangkammer

Es ist nicht nötig, die Scherköpfe zum Reinigen in
Schermesser und Scherkörbe zu zerlegen. Achten
Sie gegebenenfalls beim Zerlegen der Scherköpfe
darauf, Schermesser und Scherkörbe nicht zu
vertauschen. Nur die jeweils aufeinander
eingeschliffenen Gegenstücke gewährleisten eine
perfekte Rasur.Werden sie vertauscht, kann es
einige Wochen dauern, bis sie wieder optimal
rasieren.

1 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, ziehen Sie das

Netzteil aus der Steckdose und den
Gerätestecker vom Rasierer.

2 Drücken Sie den Entriegelungsknopf (1)

und öffnen Sie die Schereinheit (2).

3 Reinigen Sie Schereinheit und

Bartfangkammer, indem sie beide eine
Weile unter heißem Wasser ausspülen.

4 Schließen Sie die Schereinheit und

schütteln Sie überschüssiges Wasser ab.

Trocknen Sie die Schereinheit niemals mit einem
Tuch ab, um Beschädigungen der Scherköpfe zu
vermeiden.

5 Öffnen Sie die Schereinheit und lassen Sie

sie offen, bis das Gerät völlig trocken ist.

Langhaarschneider

Reinigen Sie den Langhaarschneider nach jedem

2 Reinigen Sie den Langhaarschneider mit

der beiliegenden Bürste.

3 Ölen Sie die Zähne des

einem Tropfen Nähmaschinenöl.

Austauschen der Scherköpfe

Tauschen Sie die Scherköpfe alle zwei Jahre aus,
um weiterhin optimale Rasierergebnisse zu
erzielen.

Ersetzen Sie beschädigte oder abgenutzte
Scherköpfe nur durch original Philishave HQ6
Quadra Scherköpfe.

1 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, ziehen Sie das

Netzteil aus der Steckdose und den

2 Drücken Sie den Entriegelungsknopf (1)

und öffnen Sie die Schereinheit (2).

3 Drehen Sie das Rädchen entgegen dem

Uhrzeigersinn (1), und nehmen Sie den
Scherkopfhalter heraus (2).

4 Nehmen Sie die Scherköpfe heraus und

setzen Sie die neuen Scherköpfe so in die
Schereinheit ein, dass die Seiten mit den
kleinen Öffnungen zur Mitte der
Schereinheit zeigen.

Die Vorsprünge an den Scherköpfen müssen
genau in die Aussparungen der Schereinheit
passen.

5 Setzen Sie den Scherkopfhalter zurück in

die Schereinheit, drücken Sie auf das
Rädchen (1) und drehen Sie es im
Uhrzeigersinn fest (2).

Umweltschutz

Die integrierten Akkus enthalten Substanzen,
welche die Umwelt gefährden können.

Die Akkus entsorgen

Nehmen Sie die Akkus heraus, bevor Sie das
Gerät entsorgen. Die Akkus gehören nicht in den
Hausmüll, sondern müssen an einer der offiziellen
Sammelstellen abgegeben werden. Sie können das
Gerät auch einem Philips Service Center
zuführen. Dort werden die Akkus umweltgerecht
entsorgt.
Nehmen Sie die Akkus erst heraus, wenn sie ganz
leer sind.

1 Ziehen Sie das Netzteil aus der Steckdose

und den Gerätestecker aus dem Rasierer.

2 Lassen Sie den Motor laufen bis er anhält,

öffnen Sie den Langhaarschneider, lösen Sie
die Schrauben und öffnen Sie das Gerät.

3 Entnehmen Sie die Akkus.

Nach Entnahme der Akkus darf das Gerät nicht
mehr ans Netz angeschlossen werden.

1 Schlechte Rasur

Ursache 1: Die Scherköpfe sind verschmutzt.

Die Schereinheit wurde nicht heiß genug oder
nicht lange genug abgespült.

◗ Reinigen Sie den Rasierer gründlich, bevor Sie

die Rasur fortsetzen (siehe "Reinigung und
Wartung").

Ursache 2: Lange Haare behindern die Rotation
der Scherköpfe.

◗ Nehmen Sie den Scherkopfhalter heraus.

◗ Reinigen Sie Schermesser und Scherkörbe.

Reinigen Sie jeweils nur ein Schermesser mit
zugehörigem Scherkorb, da die Paare aufeinander
eingeschliffen sind.Werden Schermesser und

Scherkörbe versehentlich vertauscht, kann es
mehrere Wochen dauern, bis wieder die optimale
Rasierleistung erreicht ist.

◗ Entfernen Sie die Haare mit der mitgelieferten

Bürste.

◗ Setzen Sie die Scherköpfe und den

Scherkopfhalter wieder in die Schereinheit,
drücken Sie auf das Rädchen und drehen Sie
es im Uhrzeigersinn fest.

Ursache 3: Die Scherköpfe sind beschädigt oder
abgenutzt.

◗ Nehmen Sie den Scherkopfhalter heraus.
◗ Nehmen Sie die alten Scherköpfe aus der

Schereinheit heraus, und ersetzen Sie sie
durch neue.

Beschädigte oder abgenutzte Scherköpfe,
bestehend aus Scherkorb und Schermesser,
dürfen nur durch original Philishave HQ6 Quadra
Scherköpfe ersetzt werden.

◗ Setzen Sie den Scherkopfhalter wieder in die

Schereinheit, drücken Sie auf das Rädchen und
drehen Sie es im Uhrzeigersinn fest.

2 Das Gerät arbeitet nicht, wenn der Ein-

/Ausschalter gedrückt wird.

Ursache: Die Akkus sind leer.

◗ Laden Sie die Akkus wieder auf (siehe

"Aufladen").

◗ Die Schereinheit wurde nicht richtig

eingesetzt.

3 Die Schereinheit hat sich vom Rasierer

gelöst.

◗ Prüfen Sie, wenn sich die Schereinheit vom

Gerät gelöst hat, ob die Verbindungsfeder an
der Rückseite des Scherkopfes noch richtig
angebracht ist und keine Risse oder
Beschädigungen aufweist. Sitzt die Feder noch
richtig, lässt sich die Schereinheit wieder
einfach am Rasierer anbringen. Sollte sich die
Feder jedoch gelöst haben oder beschädigt
sein, so wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Philips
Händler oder das Philips Service Center in
Ihrem Land, um Beschädigungen am Rasierer
zu vermeiden.

Avant de charger l'appareil, arrêtez-le.
Lorsque vous chargez l'appareil pour la première

fois, ou si l'appareil n'a pas été utilisé pendant une
longue période, chargez-le pendant 4 heures au
moins. La charge normale est de 1 heure environ.
Vous pouvez également vous raser sans charger le
rasoir au préalable, en le raccordant directement
au secteur.
Ne laissez cependant jamais l'appareil connecté
pendant plus de 24 heures.

Ne chargez jamais l'appareil dans un étui fermé.

Wanneer u het apparaat voor de eerste keer
oplaadt of als u het lange tijd niet gebruikt heeft,

Opladen duurt normaal ongeveer 1 uur.
U kunt zich ook direct scheren, zonder eerst op
te laden, door het apparaat rechtstreeks op
netspanning aan te sluiten.

keer op de aan/uitknop te drukken.

Schoonmaken en onderhoud

De gemakkelijkste en meest hygiënische manier
om het apparaat schoon te maken is de
scheerunit en de haarkamer na iedere
scheerbeurt met heet water af te spoelen.
Wees voorzichtig met heet water. Controleer
altijd of het water niet te heet is om te
voorkomen dat u uw handen verbrandt.

te kunnen maken is de Philishave Action Clean

zich er weer mee gaat scheren. Zie hoofdstuk

Não limpe mais do que um conjunto
lâmina/guarda de cada vez já que constituem
pares. Se, por acaso, alterar os conjuntos
lâmina/guarda, a eficácia da máquina diminuirá e
só passadas algumas semanas voltará ao normal.

3 Volte a colocar as cabeças na unidade de

corte. Reponha a armação de retenção na
unidade de corte, pressione o anel (1) e

Remoção das pilhas

Retire as pilhas quando decidir deitar a máquina
fora. Não elimine as pilhas juntamente com o lixo
doméstico normal. Deverá entregá-las num posto
de recolha oficial (ecoponto) ou num
Concessionário autorizado pela Philips, que
tratará de eliminar as pilhas de uma forma segura
para o ambiente.
Apenas retire as pilhas caso estas se encontrem
completamente vazias.
