With your new Satinelle epilator you can remove undesired
hair quickly, easily and effectively. It is particularly suitable
for removing hair from your legs*.
The rotating discs catch even the shortest hairs (
1
⁄2 mm)
and pull them out by the root. The hair that grows back is
soft and fine. So, no more stubble!
Epilating with Satinelle leaves your skin smooth and
hairfree for several weeks.
To make better use of your Satinelle, familiarise yourself
with the appliance. Read these directions for use first and
look carefully at the pictures.

Important
• Before connecting the appliance, please check
that the voltage indicated on the appliance
corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
• Regular cleaning and good maintenance ensures
optimum results and guarantees longer life time
for the Satinelle.
• Do not allow the appliance to come into contact
with water.
• Keep the protective cap on the appliance when
not in use.
• Do not use the Satinelle on irritated skin or on
skin with varicose veins, spots, (hairy) birthmarks
or blemishes. The same applies to persons with

How to use
• Make sure your skin is clean, free from grease and
creams. Do not apply any cream before epilating.
reduced immune response, e.g. diabetes mellitus,
pregnancy, haemophilia or immune deficiency.
Consult your doctor first.
• For type HP 6404 only: This epilator equipped
with precision cap has been tested extensively on
under-arms and bikini-line. When using an
epilator for the first time on these areas, some
women may experience skin iritation. Therefore
we advise you to try the appliance first on a small
patch of skin.
• Regular skin massage with a massaging glove or
loofah can help to prevent ingrowing hairs.
• Use of an epilator may cause reddening or
irritation of the skin. This is a normal reaction
which will quickly disappear.
However, if the irritation remains for more than
three days consult your doctor.
• When the appliance is switched on, keep it away
from the hair on your head, your eye lashes and
eye brows, and also away from clothes, brushes,
wires, cords etc. to prevent accidents and
damage.
• Keep the appliance away from children.
• Only use your Satinelle with the mains cord
supplied with the appliance.

Hairs are easier to epilate after a bath or a shower, but
your skin should be completely dry while epilating.
• If you use the appliance for the first time, we advise you
to start at a place with comparatively little hair growth so
that you may get accustomed to epilating.
• As the hairs are removed by the root, your skin may feel a
little discomfort after epilating with Satinelle for the first time.
But this effect will gradually lessen with each use.
Re-growth tends to be softer both in appearance and
touch.
• After use, you could apply a mild cream or body milk,
which will help reduce possible skin irritation after
epilation. It makes the skin feel smoother and gives you a
fresh feeling. Do not use lotions which contain alcohol.
- Insert the small plug into the Satinelle (fig. 2). Ensure that
the plug is pushed fully home.
- Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
- Switch the Satinelle on.
• Speed selection (Types HP 2841 and HP 6404 only:)
For areas where the hairs are thinner, for hard-to-reach
places and for areas with bones under the skin (such as
knees and ankles), select speed I (normal speed) (fig. 3).
For larger surfaces and thicker hairs, select speed II (high
speed) (fig. 4).
- Pull the skin taut with your free hand to make the hairs
stand up (fig. 5). Tautening the skin properly is particularly
important if you have sensitive or delicate skin.
- Place the Satinelle in a straight angle on the skin, with the
On/Off switch pointing in the direction in which you wish
to move the appliance (fig. 6).

- Now move the appliance slowly over the skin against the
direction of growth of the hairs (fig. 7). Do not apply
pressure.
- To switch the appliance off, slide the switch to position 0
(fig. 8).
• Under arms and bikini line (Type HP 6404 only:)
Your Satinelle BodyTotal is equipped with a precision cap '
(K) to make the appliance suitable for under-arms and
bikini-line epilation.
The precision cap reduces the number of active discs and
stretches the skin while epilating.
This makes the appliance ideal for the more delicate areas
of the body.
• For optimum epilation the hairs should be not too long
(max. approx.
1
⁄2 cm).
- Place the precision cap (fig. 9). Please note: the precision
cap can only be mounted in one direction!
- Switch on. We advise you to use speed II (fig. 10.)
- Ensure that the skin is drawn taut.
- Place the Satinelle BodyTotal in a straight angle on the
skin, with the on/off switch pointing in the direction in
which you wish to move the appliance (fig. 11-13).
- Move the appliance slowly over the skin, against the
direction of the hair growth (fig. 7).
• It can be nice to cool the skin after use with a cloth
soaked with water.

Cleaning
• For a good and smooth result in epilating, it is essential
that the epilating head is cleaned after each use.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Do not use strong cleaners or scouring agents, petrol,
acetone, etc., to clean the plastic housing of your
Satinelle.
• Never try to remove the epilating discs from the
appliance.
- Switch the Satinelle off (0) (fig. 8) and remove the mains
plug from the wall socket (fig. 14)
- For type HP 6404 only: Remove the precision cap
(fig. 15).
- Press the ribbed section and pull the epilating head from
the appliance (fig. 16).
- Clean the epilating discs and the parts that have become
accessible with the brush (fig. 17).
- Put the epilating head back on the appliance. Press the
non-marked area besides the ribbed section to make the
epilating head snap back to its correct position (“Click!”)
(fig. 18). Please note: The epilating head can only be
mounted in one direction!

Das System rotierender Pinzetten erfaßt selbst kurze
Härchen von

Eventuell nachwachsende Härchen sind zart und weich.
Keine Stoppeln mehr!
Nach dem Epilieren bleibt Ihre Haut wochenlang glatt und
unbehaart.
Machen Sie sich zunächst mit Ihrem Gerät vertraut. Lesen
Sie zuerst diese Gebrauchsanweisung, und betrachten Sie
dabei aufmerksam die Abbildungen.

Wichtig
• Prüfen Sie, bevor Sie das Gerät in Gebrauch
nehmen, ob die Netzspannung auf Ihrem Gerät
mit der örtlichen Netzspannung übereinstimmt.
• Regelmäßige Reinigung und Wartung sichern
eine gute Epilation und garantieren eine lange
Nutzungsdauer des Geräts.
• Halten Sie das Gerät von Wasser fern.
• Behalten Sie die Schutzkappe auf dem Gerät,
wenn Sie es nicht benutzen.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn die Haut
gereizt oder entzündet ist, und nicht bei Pickel,

Ausschlag und Wunden; auch nicht an
Krampfadern und (behaarten) Muttermalen. Das
gleiche gilt bei geschwächter Abwehrlage, z.B.
bei Diabetes mellitus (Zuckerkrankheit),
Schwangerschaft, Hämophilie und
Immunschwäche. Fragen Sie zuvor Ihren Arzt.
• Nur Type HP 6404: Satinelle mit Präzisionskappe
ist bei der Anwendung in Achselhöhle und BikiniZone ausgiebig getestet worden. Nach Gebrauch
des Geräts kann, wie bei jedem Epilierverfahren,
bei einigen Anwenderinnen zunächst eine
Hautreizung auftreten. Probieren Sie darum das
Gerät erst an einer kleinen Stelle aus.
• Regelmäßige Hautmassage mit einem
Massagehandschuh oder einem Luffaschwamm
kann verhindern, daß Härchen in die Haut
hineinwachsen.
• Der Gebrauch eines Epilators kann Rötungen und
Reizungen der Haut verursachen. Das ist eine
normale Erscheinung, die schnell vorübergeht.
Sollte diese Reizung allerdings länger als drei
Tage anhalten, so konsultieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt.
• Halten Sie das eingeschaltete Gerät vom
Kopfhaar, von Wimpern und Augenbrauen fern,
aber auch von Kleidung, Borsten, Fäden und
Drähten, um Unfälle und Beschädigungen zu
vermeiden.
• Halten Sie das Gerät außer Reichweite von
Kindern.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur am mitgelieferten
Kabel.

Anwendung des Geräts
• Ihre Haut muß sauber, fettfrei und völlig trocken sein,
wenn Sie das Gerät benutzen. Verwenden Sie vor dem
Epilieren keine Cremes.
Das Epilieren ist am leichtesten nach dem Baden oder
Duschen. Ihre Haut muß aber völlig trocken sein.
• Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal verwenden, so
empfiehlt es sich, es zuerst an einer nur leicht behaarten
Stelle auszuprobieren, damit Sie sich mit dem
Epilierverfahren vertraut machen.
• Nach der ersten Anwendung des Geräts könnten Sie ein
leichtes Unbehagen empfinden, weil die Haare an der
Haarwurzel entfernt werden. Das geht nach wenigen
Anwendungen vorüber. Die nachwachsenden Härchen
werden weicher und dünner.
• Nach dem Epilieren können Sie eine milde Creme oder
eine Body Lotion auftragen. Diese Mittel können eventuell
auftretende Hautreizungen lindern und ein Frischegefühl
geben. Ihre Haut fühlt sich danach sanfter an.
Verwenden Sie keine Mittel, die Alkohol enthalten.
- Stecken Sie den Gerätestecker (E) in die Buchse (D)
(Abb. 2).
- Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.
- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
Nur Typen HP 2841 und HP 6404:
Geschwindigkeitregelung
• Wählen Sie die normale Geschwindigkeit I zum Epilieren
von schwer erreichbaren Stellen, für Hautpartien über
Knochen, wie Knie und Knöchel, und für Stellen mit

schwacher Behaarung (Abb. 3).
Wählen Sie die hohe Geschwindigkeit II für größere
Hautpartien mit dichter Behaarung (Abb. 4).
- Spannen Sie Ihre Haut mit der freien Hand, so daß sich
die Härchen aufrichten (Abb. 5). Das ist besonders
wichtig, wenn Sie eine empfindliche Haut haben.
- Setzen Sie den Kopf des Geräts senkrecht auf Ihre Haut,
so daß er voll mit der Haut in Berührung kommt, den Ein-/
Ausschalter auf Sie gerichtet (Abb. 6).
- Führen Sie das Gerät langsam und ohne Druck gegen die
Haarwuchsrichtung (Abb. 7).
- Zum Ausschalten schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter auf
Position 0 (Abb. 8).
Nur Type 6404: Achselhöhlen und Bikini-Zone
Ihr Gerät Ist mit einer Präzisionskappe ' (K) ausgerüstet,
der die Anwendung zur Epilation der Haare in der
Achselhöhle und in der Bikini-Zone ermöglicht.
Die Präzisionskappe vermindert die Anzahl der aktiven
Pinzetten und strafft die Haut während der Anwendung.
So ist das Gerät ideal für die Anwendung an den
empfindlichen Hautstellen.
• Um ein optimales Ergebnis zu erzielen, sollten die Haare
nicht viel länger als
1
⁄2 cm sein.
- Setzen Sie die Präzisionskappe (K) auf (Abb. 9). Bitte
beachten: Die Präzisionskappe kann nur in einer
Richtung aufgesetzt werden.
- Schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Wir empfehlen
Geschwindigkeit II (Abb. 10).
Ziehen Sie die Haut gut straff.
Setzen Sie das Gerät gerade, rechtwinklig auf die Haut,

den Ein-/Ausschalter in die Richtung, in die Sie das Gerät
bewegen wollen (Abb. 11-13).
- Bewegen Sie das Gerät langsam und zügig, entgegen
der Haarwuchsrichtung über die Haut (Abb. 7).
• Es ist ein angenehmes Gefühl, die Haut anschließend mit
einem nassen Tuch zu kühlen.
Reinigung
• Um eine gründliche Epilation zu erreichen, müssen Sie
die Pinzetten (Epilationsrädchen) nach jedem Gebrauch
reinigen.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser.
• Verwenden Sie keine scharfen Reinigungs- oder
Scheuermittel, Benzin, Aceton o.ä. zur Reinigung des
Kunststoffgehäuses.
• Versuchen Sie niemals, die Pinzetten (Epilierscheiben)
vom Gerät abzunehmen.
- Schalten Sie das Gerät aus (Abb. 8) und ziehen Sie das
Steckernetzgerät aus der Steckdose (Abb. 14).
- Nur Type 6404: Nehmen Sie die Präzisionskappe ab
(Abb. 15).
- Drücken Sie die geriffelten Flächen, und nehmen Sie die
Epiliereinheit ab (Abb. 16).
- Bürsten Sie die Epilierpinzetten und alle zugänglichen
Teile mit der Bürste aus (Abb. 17).
- Setzen Sie die Epiliereinheit wieder auf.
Drücken Sie die nichtmarkierten Teile neben den
geriffelten Flächen, damit die Epiliereinheit mit einem
"Klick" einrastet (Abb. 18). Hinweis: Die Epiliereinheit
kann nur in einer Richtung aufgesetzt werden!

Instrukcja obs∏ugi
• Zanim rozpoczniesz depilacj´, upewnij si´, czy Twoja
skóra jest nienat∏uszczona, czysta i sucha. Przed
przystàpieniem do depilacji nie u˝ywaj ˝adnych kremów.
W∏oski ∏atwiej si´ wyrywajà po kàpieli lub prysznicu,
ale pami´taj, ˝e skóra musi byç ca∏kowicie sucha.
• JeÊli wykonujesz depilacj´ po raz pierwszy, warto
spróbowaç najpierw na miejscu ma∏o ow∏osionym. W
ten sposób stopniowo przywykniesz do nowej metody
depilacji.
• U˝ywajàc Satinelle Sensitive BodyTotal po raz
pierwszy, mo˝esz odczuwaç lekki ból, gdy˝ w∏oski
wyrywane sà z cebulkami. B´dzie on zmniejsza∏ si´
przy ka˝dej kolejnej depilacji. Odrastajàce w∏oski stanà
si´ bardziej mi´kkie i cienkie, zarówno pod wzgl´dem
wyglàdu, jak i w dotyku.
• Po depilacji mo˝esz zastosowaç delikatny krem lub
mleczko do cia∏a, co pomo˝e z∏agodziç ewentualne
podra˝nienia skóry. Twoja skóra stanie si´ g∏adka i
Êwie˝a. Nie u˝ywaj preparatów zawierajàcych alkohol.

Va‰ím nov˘m pfiístrojem Philips Satinelle mÛÏete rychle,
snadno a úãinnû odstraÀovat neÏádoucí chloupky. Je velmi
vhodn˘ pro odstraÀování chloupkÛ na nohou*.
Rotující kotouãky odstraní rychle i ty nejkrat‰í chloupky (aÏ
