Ladyshave & Care

Your new Ladyshave & Care combines a newly designed shaver and a specially
developed caring shaving balm to give you the optimal shave. The Caring
shaving balm helps to achieve a close shave and it keeps your skin smooth and
moisturised. The Ladyshave & Care provides a close and comfortable shave in
all situations. To make the best use of your Ladyshave & Care, first read the
directions for use and look at the illustrations.

Batteries (fig. 2-4)
Your Ladyshave runs on two R6 1.5 Volt batteries.
We recommend Philips Powerlife batteries because of their long life.

Inserting the batteries:

- Make sure that your hands and the appliance are dry when you insert the
batteries.

- Open the battery compartment by pulling the top part off the appliance.

- Insert the batteries.

- Make sure that the + and - signs on the batteries match the indications in
the battery compartment.

- Close the battery compartment by pushing the top part back on to the
appliance (click!).

Note: to avoid damage due to battery leakage:

- Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures or direct sunlight.

- Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the appliance for at least a month.

- Do not leave run-down batteries in the appliance.

Which type of Ladyshave & Care?
Please check which type of Ladyshave & Care you have bought (you can find the
type number on the back of the appliance). Each type has its own shaving
head(s).

HP 6330 Ladyshave & Care

Comes with a gold-coloured shaving head for shaving the entire body.

HP 6331 Ladyshave & Care Opti-shave

Comes with the Opti-shave system consisting of:

- A silver-coloured shaving head, specially designed for shaving the legs.

- A blue-coloured shaving head, specially designed for shaving more sensitive
areas like underarms and bikini line.

The shaving heads can be easily changed, so you will always be able to use the
shaving head best suited to the part of your body you want to shave (fig. 5).

Caring shaving balm

The caring shaving balm has been specially developed to be used exclusively in
combination with the Ladyshave & Care models, to obtain a perfectly smooth
shaving result outside the shower. The balm prepares your skin for a close
shave and leaves your skin soft and moisturised.
Furthermore, the shaving balm will make the shaver glide smoothly over your
skin, which leads to a pleasant and comfortable shave. The caring shaving balm
has been developed for shaving without water.

separate directions for use which you will find in this package.

How to use the Philips Ladyshave & Care
Before shaving, apply a layer of shaving balm evenly over your skin:

- Push up the white locks (fig. 6).

- Squeeze the bottle softly and roll on the shaving balm (fig. 7).

- Switch the appliance on by pushing button.

- Place the shaving head gently on the skin and shave with your
Ladyshave & Care (fig. 8).

- Is your last shave more than 2 days ago? Use the trimmer! (fig. 9).

- Turn the appliance round, pop up the trimmer and start shaving (fig. 10).

- If necessary, you can apply extra shaving balm.

- Any shaving balm left on the skin can be massaged into the skin as a moisturiser.

- If you have very long hairs, we advise you to shave with the trimmer without
using any shaving balm.

Cleaning

• After you have used your Ladyshave & Care with the shaving balm, clean the
appliance with lukewarm water. Do not exert any pressure on the shaving foil,
as this may cause damage to the shaving head (fig. 11).

• Do not forget to take off the shaving head to clean the cutter.

• Use water and the brush to clean the cutter. (fig. 12)

• Do not use alcohol, acetone, gasoline, abrasives, etc. for cleaning the plastic
parts.

• Do not clean, rinse or immerse in water if the battery compartment is open.

Wet Use

Your Ladyshave & Care can also be used in the shower (fig.13).
If you shave wet, we advise you to use soap or shaving foam for your personal
comfort.

Maintenance

- Spread a drop of sewing machine oil onto the shaving head and the trimmer
twice a year (fig. 14).

- To keep your Ladyshave water-tight:

- Keep the sealing ring of the battery compartment clean and undamaged.

- Apply some vaseline to the sealing ring from time to time.

Replacement (see pictures on the backside of the right fold-out cover)

Shaving head

To maintain the best shaving results, we advise you to replace the shaving head
every 6 months if you use your appliance at least once a week. A worn-out or
damaged shaving head should be replaced right away. Use only the original Philips

Ladyshave & Care shaving heads.

Caring shaving balm

The caring shaving balm can also be bought separately (type number HP 6020).
If you cannot obtain these products at your local shop, please contact the Philips
Service Centre or the Consumer Help Desk. For telephone numbers, please see

Environment

Important: batteries contain substances which may pollute the environment.
If you decide to discard the appliance in due course:

- Remove the batteries and dispose of them at an officially assigned battery
collection point.

- Take the motor and other metal parts to a metals collection point.

- If necessary, you can contact your local authorities for information on the waste
disposal and recycling services available.

Ladyshave & Care

Uw nieuwe Ladyshave & Care combineert een nieuw ontworpen scheerapparaat
met een speciaal ontwikkelde verzorgende scheerbalsem om u de best mogelijke
scheerkwaliteit te bieden. De verzorgende scheerbalsem helpt u om een glad
scheerresultaat te bereiken en het zorgt ervoor dat uw huid zacht en soepel blijft.
De Ladyshave & Care zorgt in elke situatie voor een glad resultaat. Lees eerst de
gebruiksaanwijzing en bekijk de illustraties, om zo het beste resultaat met uw
Ladyshave & Care te bereiken.

Batterijen (fig.2-4)
Uw Ladyshave werkt op twee R6 1.5 Volt batterijen. Wij bevelen Philips Powerlife
batterijen aan vanwege hun lange levensduur.

Batterijen verwisselen

- Zorg ervoor dat zowel uw handen als het apparaat droog zijn, voordat u de
batterijen verwisselt.

- Open de batterijhouder, door het bovenste gedeelte van het apparaat af te
trekken.

- Stop de nieuwe batterijen in de batterijhouder.

- Zorg ervoor dat de + en - symbolen op de batterijen overeenkomen met de
symbolen in de batterijhouder.

- Sluit de batterijhouder, door het bovenste gedeelte weer terug te drukken op
het apparaat (Klik!).

Let op:

Om schade door lekkage van de batterijen te voorkomen:

- Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan hoge temperaturen of direct zonlicht.

- Verwijder de batterijen als u het apparaat tenminste een maand lang niet denkt te

gebruiken.

- Verwijder lege batterijen uit het apparaat.

Welk type Ladyshave & Care?

Controleer welk type Ladyshave & Care u heeft gekocht (zie het typenummer op
de achterkant van het apparaat). Elk type heeft zijn eigen scheerhoofd(en).

HP 6330 Ladyshave & Care

Dit type heeft één goudkleurig scheerhoofd, waarmee u het gehele lichaam kunt
gladscheren.

HP 6331 Ladyshave & Care Opti-Shave

Is voorzien van een Opti-Shave systeem, bestaande uit:

• Een zilverkleurig scheerhoofd, speciaal voor het scheren van benen.

• Een blauw scheerhoofd voor het scheren van gevoelige lichaamsdelen, zoals de
oksels en bikini-lijn.

U kunt de scheerhoofden gemakkelijk verwisselen, zodat u telkens het
scheerhoofd kunt gebruiken dat het meest geschikt is voor het lichaamsdeel dat u
wilt scheren (fig. 3).

Verzorgende scheerbalsem

De verzorgende scheerbalsem is speciaal ontwikkeld voor exclusief gebruik in
combinatie met de Ladyshave & Care modellen, om een perfect glad
scheerresultaat te verkrijgen ook als u niet onder de douche staat.
Door het opbrengen van de balsem kunt u een zeer glad resultaat bereiken. Na
het scheren zorgen de vochtinbrengende ingrediënten ervoor dat uw huid zacht en
soepel blijft. Bovendien garandeert de balsem dat het apparaat makkelijk over uw
huid glijdt, waardoor het scheren aangenaam en comfortabel verloopt. De
verzorgende scheerbalsem is ontwikkeld voor droog gebruik.
Voor verdere informatie over de scheerbalsem: zie de aparte gebruiksaanwijzing in
deze verpakking.

Gebruik

• Breng vóór het scheren een laagje scheerbalsem aan op de huid.

• Duw de witte sluitingen omhoog (fig. 4).

• Knijp voorzichtig in de flacon en breng de scheerbalsem aan op de te
scheren lichaamsdelen (fig 5).

• Schakel het apparaat in, door de knop in te drukken.

• Plaats het scheerhoofd voorzichtig op de huid en begin te scheren met uw
Ladyshave & Care (fig. 6).

• Is uw laatste scheerbeurt meer dan 2 dagen geleden? Gebruik dan de
tondeuse! (fig. 7).

• Draai het apparaat om, schuif de tondeuse omhoog en begin te scheren (fig. 8).

• Indien nodig, kunt u wat extra scheerbalsem aanbrengen.

• Mocht er na het scheren wat scheerbalsem op de huid zijn achtergebleven,
dan kunt u deze als vochtinbrengende crème inmasseren.

• Wanneer de haren erg lang zijn, adviseren wij u zonder scheerbalsem te
scheren met de tondeuse.

Schoonmaken

• Maak, nadat u de Ladyshave & Care met scheerbalsem heeft gebruikt, het
apparaat schoon met handwarm water. Druk niet op de scheerfolie,
daardoor zou u het scheerhoofd kunnen beschadigen (fig. 9).

• Vergeet niet het scheerhoofd te verwijderen om zo de mesjes met water en
het borsteltje schoon te kunnen maken (fig. 10).

• Gebruik geen alcohol, aceton, benzine, schuurmiddel e.d. bij het
schoonmaken van de kunststof delen.

• Zorg ervoor dat de batterijhouder goed gesloten is voordat u het apparaat
schoonmaakt, afspoelt, of onderdompelt in water.

Nat scheren

U kunt uw Ladyshave & Care ook onder de douche gebruiken (fig. 11).
Als u zich nat scheert, adviseren wij voor uw eigen comfort zeep of
scheerschuim te gebruiken.

Onderhoud

Smeer twee keer per jaar een druppeltje naaimachine-olie uit over het
scheerhoofd en de tondeuse (fig. 12).
Om uw Ladyshave waterdicht te houden dient u ervoor te zorgen dat:

- de rubber afsluitring schoon en onbeschadigd is.

- de rubber afsluitring niet uitdroogt (vet deze af en toe met een beetje
Vaseline in).

Scheerblad

Als u het apparaat eenmaal per week of vaker gebruikt, raden wij u aan het
scheerhoofd elk half jaar te vervangen. Zo blijft u verzekerd van de beste
scheerresultaten. Als uw scheerhoofd versleten of beschadigd is, vervang het
dan onmiddellijk. Gebruik alleen de originele Philips Ladyshave & Care
vervangingsscheerhoofden.

Scheerbalsem

De scheerbalsem kan ook apart worden gekocht. (typenummer HP 6020)
Als u deze producten niet bij uw plaatselijke leverancier kunt kopen, verzoeken
wij u contact op te nemen met het Philips Service Centrum of met de Philips
Consumentenlijn. Zie voor telefoonnummers het Worldwide guarantee
vouwblad.

Milieu

Belangrijk: batterijen bevatten stoffen die schadelijk kunnen zijn voor het
milieu. Als u te zijner tijd het apparaat afdankt, verwijder dan de batterijen en
gooi ze op verantwoorde wijze weg:

• Doe de batterijen in de batterijenbak of milieubox (KCA) (fig. 15).

• Doe de motor en andere metalen delen in de blikcontainer om recycling
mogelijk te maken.

• Indien nodig kunt u uw lokale overheidsinstellingen om advies vragen.
