Why is skin cleansing so important?

C Cleansing is the first step

Facial cleansing is a basic element of women's beauty regime. It is a prerequisite for proper skincare. Cleansing the face prepares the skin for other treatments such as moisturising, deep cleansing or nourishing.

If you do not cleanse your skin properly, the pores may clog up, possibly causing blackheads or blemishes, or a residue may develop which slows down the natural process of sloughing off skin cells.

The benefits of exfoliation

The purpose of exfoliating is to remove dead skin cells to reveal a radiant, youthful skin. Exfoliation makes room at the skin's surface to allow the deeper layer of newer, less dry skin cells to reach the surface of the skin. Dried-up skin cells left on the surface of the skin too long can produce a dull, uneven and flaky layer.

Removing these dead skin cells can make a huge difference to the appearance of the face and lends a fresher look to the skin.The more you stimulate the normal process of exfoliation of skin cells, the less cell debris can fill up and clog the pores, the easier blackheads can be removed and the more radiant your skin will look.

Thus, a thorough but gentle facial cleansing is essential to preserve your skin by preventing skin breakouts and by keeping your skin healthier.

The new Visapure has specially developed soft brushes which gently rotate to deeply cleanse your skin.They can be used every day with your regular cleansing product or for special intensive cleansing.The brushes remove dirt and dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth and radiant.

C Soft Pressure Sensor

A built-in system automatically adjusts the pressure of the brush on your face to guarantee optimal and gentle cleansing.Two different intensity settings are available: you can use the soft setting (left) for a gentle treatment and the intensive setting (right) for a deeper cleansing. These settings also allow you to adjust the intensity of the treatment to the sensitivity of your skin, the soft setting being more pleasant on a sensitive skin.

Cleansing with the Visapure

C This brush can be used with facial soap or with your regular cleansing product (gel, milk, etc).

The section 'Daily facial cleansing with the cleansing brush' in this booklet describes how to obtain the best results with the Visapure in

your cleansing routine.

Exfoliating with the Visapure

C This brush can be used with your regular cleanser or exfoliating product (scrub gel/cream, etc).

The section 'Removing dead skin cells with the exfoliating brush' in this booklet describes how to obtain the best exfoliating results with

the Visapure.

C The longer filaments of the brush lift away impurities and gently exfoliate dead skin cells. This brush is highly suitable for effective deep cleansing.

T-zone cleansing with the Visapure total

C This brush can be used with your facial soap or with your regular cleansing product (gel, milk, etc.).

The section 'Cleansing the nose and the chin area with the T-zone brush' in this booklet describes how to obtain the best results with

the Visapure total in your cleansing routine. C The small T-zone brush cleanses the nose and

the chin area gently and thoroughly.

Important

Do not use the Visapure on dry, chapped skin or when you suffer from skin diseases or skin irritations, such as acne, sunburn, etc.

Please note that the condition of the skin varies throughout the year. Facial skin can get dryer during the winter season: in that case you should reduce the treatment time.

Do not press the brush too hard onto your face. Using the Visapure should always feel pleasant.

When using the Visapure on the neckline, make sure that you observe a shorter treatment time than normally recommended. The neckline area is more sensitive than the face.

Regular cleaning of the appliance ensures optimal results and a longer life.

Keep the appliance away from children.

Use, for example, a headband to keep your hair away from your face in order to prevent the hair from getting tangled in the brush.

The appliance is waterproof and can be used in the shower.

To achieve the best results, the Visapure should be used as described on the following pages.

Preparing the appliance for use

Inserting the battery

C 1 Open the battery compartment by pulling at the lower part of the appliance.

Please make sure that your hands are dry when

inserting the battery.

The Visapure uses 1 R6 AA1.5 volt battery. For a longer running time, it is recommended to use an alkaline battery.

2Put the battery in the battery compartment.

Note: match the +/- symbols on the battery with the +/- marks in the battery compartment.

C 3 Close the battery compartment by pushing it into the appliance until you hear a click.

Using the Visapure

Daily facial cleansing with the cleansing brush

C 1 Push the cleansing brush onto the

connection pin until it locks into position with a click.

2 Use, for example, a headband to keep your hair away from your face in order to prevent your hair from getting tangled in the brush.

If you are wearing heavy make-up, we advise you to remove most of the make-up first.

C 3 Choose the 'soft' setting for daily cleansing (types HP5253 and HP5252 only).

B Tip: For the best result, we advise you to foam up a small portion of your favourite cleansing product in the palm of your hand by using the brush and

lukewarm water.You can also put the cleanser directly onto the dampened brush.

BIf you use cleansing milk, we advise you to put it directly onto the brush.

BTip:While cleansing, skip sensitive skin areas such as the eye area and the lips.

Removing dead skin cells with the exfoliating brush

C 1 To exchange the brush, pull it from the connection pin and store it carefully on the back part of the stand.

3 Use a headband to keep your hair away from your face in order to prevent your hair from getting tangled in the brush.

4To achieve the best exfoliating results, you should first clean your face.Then moisten your face with lukewarm water and apply your favourite scrub cream.

BTip: If you prefer to exfoliate only with cleansing cream, foam up a small portion in the palm of your hand with help of the dampened brush.You can also put the cleanser directly onto the dampened brush.

C 5 Choose the 'intensive' setting, which is

ideal for effective deep cleansing and

exfoliation (types HP5253 and HP5252 only).

6Place the exfoliating brush onto your face.

7Press the on button to switch the Visapure on.

8Gently move the brush across your face while making circular movements.

Do not overdo the exfoliation procedure

Remember that exfoliation should always feel

pleasant.

For an effective exfoliation, you should use the brush for approximately 1 to 2 minutes, depending on the sensitivity of your skin (do not exfoliate longer or more often than recommended on the package of your scrub cream).

Cleansing the nose and chin area with the T-zone brush (type HP5253 only)

Soft Pressure Sensor

(types HP5253 and HP5252 only)

The Soft Pressure Sensor will automatically adjust the pressure of the brush on your face to guarantee effective and gentle cleansing.

C When you press the brush onto your face, it will spring backwards.The cushioned brush ensures that optimal brushing pressure is maintained and that the brush accurately follows the contours of the face.

BTip:The appliance has two intensity settings: 1) the 'soft' setting for a gentle treatment or for more sensitive skin areas, 2) the 'intensive' setting for deeper cleansing and more thorough exfoliation.

Cleaning and storing

Clean the appliance and the brushes after each use.

Do not use any alcohol, acetone, petrol, abrasive

cleaning agents etc. to clean the plastic parts.

1Rinse the Visapure and the brushes under the tap, using warm water (max. 60cC).

2Also rinse the inside of the brushes.

BTip: If the filaments have become deformed, you can restore them to their original shape by rinsing the brush in warm water.

C 3 Switch the Visapure on to rinse any cleansing residues from the connection pin.

4Dry the Visapure and the brushes with a towel.

5Store the dry Visapure in the stand.

6Leave one brush attached to the Visapure. Place the second brush onto the pin on the back part of the stand.

You can clean the stand with a moist cloth.

Maintenance and replacement

Replacement brushes

C Replace the brushes every 3 to 6 months for good cleansing and exfoliation results.

Replace the brush if the deformed filaments can no longer be restored to their original shape. Worn filaments will move impurities around rather than remove them.They could also irritate your skin.

New brushes are available from the shop in which you have purchased your Philips beauty

Environment

If you discard the appliance in due course, dispose of it in accordance with the instructions given by your local authority.

Remove the batteries when you discard the appliance. Do not throw the batteries away with the normal household waste, but hand them in at an official collection point.You can also take the batteries to a Philips Service Centre, which will dispose of them in an environmentally safe way.

Warum ist die Reinigung der Haut so wichtig?

C Reinigung (Cleansing) ist der erste Schritt

Die ReInigung der Gesichtshaut ist ein grundlegendes Element der weiblichen Schönheitspflege und Voraussetzung einer sachgerechten Hautpflege. Die Reinigung des Gesichts bereitet die Haut auf die weitere

Behandlung vor, z. B. für Feuchtigkeit,

Tiefenreinigung oder Nährcreme.

Wird die Haut nicht gründlich gereinigt, können die Poren verstopfen; das kann zu Mitessern und Hautunreinheiten führen. Es können sich auch Rückstände bilden die verhindern, dass die abgestorbenen Hautzellen auf natürliche Weise abgestoßen werden.

Die Vorzüge des Peelings

Durch das Peeling werden die toten Hautzellen entfernt und eine strahlend junge Haut freigelegt. Bleiben die ausgetrockneten Zellen zu lange an der Oberfläche, kann sich eine stumpfe, unebene und schuppige Schicht bilden. Auf der Hautoberfläche kommt durch das Peeling eine Schicht junger, nicht so trockener Hautzellen zum Vorschein.

Dadurch dass die abgestorbenen Zellen entfernt werden, erhält die Haut des Gesichts ein erheblich frischeres Aussehen. Je mehr der normale Vorgang der Abstoßung abgestorbener Zellen beschleunigt wird, um so weniger können die Rückstände dieser Zellen die Poren verstopfen, um so leichter können Mitesser entfernt werden und um so strahlender wird Ihre Haut aussehen.

Eine gründliche und schonende Gesichtsreinigung ist also unerlässlich, um Ihre Haut gesund zu erhalten und vor Verunreinigungen zu bewahren.

Peeling mit Visapure

C Der Peelingaufsatz kann zusammen mit Ihrem gewohnten Reinigungsoder Peelingprodukt (Scrub Gel bzw. Creme usw.) verwendet werden.

Der Abschnitt "Tägliche Gesichtsreinigung mit dem Peelingaufsatz" in diesem Heft enthält Hinweise, wie Sie die besten Ergebnisse bei der Anwendung von Visapure zum Peeling

erzielen.

C Die längeren Borsten der Bürste dieses Aufsatzes erfassen tiefsitzende Unreinheiten der Haut und entfernen abgestorbene Hautzellen. Dieser Aufsatz ist auf das Beste geeignet für eine wirksame Tiefenreinigung.

Reinigung der T-Zone mit Visapure total

Ihrer gewohnten Gesichtspflege erzielen. C Die kleine T-Zonen-Bürste reinigt die Partien

um Nase und Kinn sanft und gründlich.

Wichtig

Verwenden Sie Visapure nicht auf trockener, rissiger Haut und auch nicht, wenn Sie unter Hautkrankheiten oder Hautreizungen, unter Akne, Sonnenbrand o. ä. leiden.

Denken Sie daran, dass die Hautbeschaffenheit sich im Verlauf des Jahres ändert. Die Gesichtshaut kann im Winter trockener werden; Sie sollten dann die Anwendungszeit verkürzen.

Drücken Sie die Bürste nicht zu stark an. Sie sollten die Anwendung immer als angenehm empfinden.

Denken Sie bei der Anwendung von Visapure im Dekolletee daran, dass die Haut dort empfindlicher ist als am Gesicht. Reduzieren Sie dort also die empfohlene Anwendungszeit.

Durch regelmäßige Reinigung erhöhen Sie die Nutzungsdauer des Geräts und sichern ein optimales Ergebnis.

Vor dem Gebrauch

Die Batterie einsetzen

C 1 Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach, indem Sie die Unterseite des Geräts abziehen.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihre Hände trocken sind

Verwenden Sie in diesem Gerät eine R6 AA 1,5 V Batterie.Wir empfehlen Alkaline-Batterien wegen ihrer langen Nutzungsdauer.

2 Legen Sie die Batterie in das Gerät ein.

Hinweis: Achten Sie auf die Markierungen. Die Symbole (+) auf der Batterie müssen mit dem Symbol (+) im Batteriefach übereinstimmen

C 3 Setzen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefach wieder auf das Gerät, und schieben Sie ihn vor, bis Sie ein Geräusch ("Klick") vernehmen.

Der Gebrauch des Geräts

Die tägliche Gesichtsreinigung mit der Reinigungsbürste

C 1 Setzen Sie die Reinigungsbürste auf die Antriebswelle, und drücken Sie die Bürste

an, bis sie einrastet ("Klick").

2 Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihr Haar sich nicht in der Bürste verfängt. Legen Sie z. B. ein Stirnband um.

Wenn Sie ein Make-up aufgelegt haben, so entfernen Sie es vor Anwendung des Geräts.

C 3 (Nur für HP 5252 und HP5253:) Wählen

Sie zur täglichen Reinigung die Position "soft".

BHinweis: Das beste Ergebnis erhalten Sie, wenn Sie ein wenig Ihres üblichen Reinigungsprodukts mit der Bürste und lauwarmem Wasser in Ihrem Handteller aufschäumen. Sie können es aber auch

direkt auf die angefeuchtete Bürste auftragen.

BReinigungsmilch tragen Sie am besten direkt auf die Bürste auf.

Tun Sie nicht des Guten zu viel. Denken Sie daran dass Sie die Reinigung immer als angenehm empfinden sollen.

Die Entfernung abgestorbener Hautzellen mit dem Peelingaufsatz

1Nehmen Sie die Reinigungsbürste ab, und setzen Sie sie sorgfältig auf die Basisstation.

2Setzen Sie den Peelingaufsatz auf die Antriebswelle, und drücken Sie ihn an, bis er einrastet ("Klick").

3Legen Sie ein Stirnband um, damit sich Ihr Haar nicht in dem Aufsatz verfängt.

4Das beste Resultat beim Peeling erhalten Sie, wenn Sie vorher Ihr Gesicht reinigen. Feuchten Sie dann Ihr Gesicht mit lauwarmem Wasser an, und tragen Sie Ihre gewohnte Peelingcreme auf.

BHinweis:Wenn Sie das Peeling mit Reinigungscreme vornehmen wollen, so schäumen Sie ein wenig davon mit Hilfe des angefeuchteten Peelingaufsatzes im Handteller auf. Sie können sie aber auch direkt auf den angefeuchteten Peelingaufsatz auftragen.

C 5 (Nur für HP 5252 und HP5253:) Wählen

Sie die Position "intensive" für Reinigung und Peeling mit Tiefenwirkung.

6Halten Sie den Aufsatz an Ihr Gesicht.

7Drücken Sie den Schalter, um das Gerät einzuschalten.

8Führen Sie die Bürste unter kreisenden Bewegungen sanft über Ihr Gesicht.

Tun Sie nicht des Guten zu viel. Denken Sie daran dass Sie das Peeling immer als angenehm empfinden sollen.

Das beste Ergebnis erhalten Sie, wenn Sie Visapure - abhängig von der Empfindlichkeit Ihrer Haut - ca. 1 bis 2 Minuten anwenden. Führen Sie das Peeling nicht länger und nicht öfter durch, als auf der Packung Ihrer Peelingcreme angegeben.

Soft Pressure Sensor

(Nur Typen HP 5252 und HP5253)

Der Soft Pressure Sensor passt den Druck des Peelingaufsatzes automatisch an und garantiert so ein wirksames und sanftes Peeling.

C Die Reinigungsbürste bzw. der Peelingaufsatz schnellt zurück, sobald Sie zu stark aufdrücken. Der abgefederte Aufsatz sorgt dafür, dass ein optimaler Andruck aufrecht erhalten bleibt und die Bürste bzw. der Aufsatz den Konturen des Gesichtes folgt.

BHinweis: Das Gerät erlaubt zwei Positionen: 1) "soft" für schonende Behandlung und für empfindlichere Hautpartien, 2) "intensive" für tiefere Reinifung und für gründlicheres Peeling.

Reinigung und Aufbewahrung

Reinigen Sie das Gerät, die Reinigungsbürste und den Peelingaufsatz nach jedem Gebrauch.

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen der Kunststoffteile keine Scheuermittel und keine Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol, Azeton oder Benzin.

C		Spülen Sie Visapore, die Reinigungsbürste

		und den Peelingaufsatz unter fließendem
		Wasser von max. 60c ab.
C		Reinigen Sie auch die Innenseite von

		Reinigunsbürste und Peelingaufsatz.

B Hinweis:Wenn sich die Borsten verformt haben, können Sie sie wieder aufrichten, indem Sie sie in warmem Wasser ausspülen.

C 3 Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, um alle verbliebenen Reste vom Grundgerät zu entfernen.

4 Trocknen Sie das Grundgerät, die Reinigungsbürste und den Peelingaufsatz mit einem Tuch.

5 Setzen Sie das Gerät in die Basisstation.

C 6 Lassen Sie die Reinigungsbürste oder den Peelingaufsatz auf dem Grundgerät. Das andere Teil bringen Sie auf dem Zapfen an der Rückseite des Ständers unter.

Ersetzen Sie die Teile spätestens dann, wenn sich die Borsten nicht mehr in die ursprüngliche Form bringen lassen.Verbrauchte Borsten verteilen die Unreinheiten anstatt sie zu beseitigen. Sie können auch Hautreizungen verursachen.

HUDPLEIE

Hvorfor er rensing av huden så viktig?

C Rensing er første trinn

Ansiktsrensing er et grunnleggende element i skjønnhetspleie, og er en forutsetning for riktig hudpleie. Når huden renses, forberedes den for annen behandling, slik som dyprensing og påføring av fuktighetskrem eller nærende krem.

Hvis du ikke renser huden din skikkelig, kan porene bli tilstoppet, slik at det oppstår svarte prikker eller skjemmende flekker i huden. I tillegg kan den naturlige prosessen med fornyelse av huden gå tregere som følge av at det bygger seg opp et lag av urenheter og døde hudceller.

Fordelene ved peeling

Formålet med peeling er å fjerne døde hudceller, slik at huden holder seg frisk og sunn. Når huden peeles, frigjøres overflaten, slik at det dypere laget av nye, mindre tørre, hudceller kan komme frem. Tørre hudceller som i lang tid blir liggende på overflaten av huden, kan gi et gustent utseende med ujevnheter og flassing.

Hvis disse døde hudcellene imidlertid fjernes, vil ansiktshuden se mye bedre ut. Jo mer du stimulerer den naturlige prosessen med utskifting av hudceller, desto mindre blir mulighetene for at det blir liggende igjen smuss som kan fylle og tilstoppe porene. På denne måten blir det enklere å fjerne svarte prikker, og huden vil få et strålende friskt utseende.

Grundig, men skånsom ansiktsrensing er derfor nødvendig for å holde huden sunn og frisk og forebygge utslett.
