Introduction

The same drying power at half the noise!

This new Philips beauty hairdryer has been
specially designed to meet your personal needs.
The settings give you maximum control and allow
you to select the airflow speeds/temperatures
that are suitable for medium-length curly hair.
With the attachments you can dry your hair
efficiently and create the style you want.

This new super-silent hairdryer incorporates two
innovations:a new kind of fan and a more quiet
motor, resulting in a hairdryer that is almost half as
loud as a normal 1600-watt Philips hairdryer.The
three settings and the attachments allow you to
dry and style your hair in a pleasantly quiet way.

Important

◗ Check if the voltage indicated on the

appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.

◗ Keep this appliance away from water! Do not

use this product near or over water
contained in baths,washbasins,sinks etc.
When used in a bathroom,unplug the
appliance after use since the proximity of
water presents a risk,even when the
hairdryer is switched off.

install a residual current device (RCD) with a
rated residual operating current not

◗ Never block the air grilles.
◗ If the appliance overheats,it will switch off

automatically.Unplug the appliance and let it
cool down for a few minutes.Before you
switch the appliance on again,check the grilles
to make sure they are not blocked by fluff,
hair,etc.

◗ Always switch the appliance off before putting

it down,even if it is only for a moment.

Styling attachments

Concentrator

◗ The concentrator enables you to direct the

airflow at the brush or comb with which you
are styling your hair.

snapping it onto the appliance.Disconnect
it by pulling it off.

Diffuser

◗ The diffuser enables you to either create

optimal volume or to dry your hair with a
gentle airflow.

Volume

Use the diffuser to add volume at the roots of
your hair.

2 Insert the pins into your hair until they

touch your scalp.

3 Start at the lower part of your head and

move slowly upwards.Make rotating
movements with the appliance to diffuse
the warm air evenly through your hair.

Curls

Use the diffuser to prevent your hair from
becoming frizzy and the curls from being blown
out of style.

1 Hold the diffuser at approx.10 cm from

your head to allow the hair to dry
gradually.Use your free hand to scrunch
the curls into shape.

Cleaning

◗ The appliance can be cleaned with a dry cloth.
◗ The attachments can be cleaned with a moist

cloth or rinsed under a running tap.

Make sure the attachments are dry before using
or storing them.

Replacement

◗ If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged,

it must always be replaced by a service centre
authorised by Philips,as special tools and/or
parts are required.

◗ Always return the appliance to a service

centre authorised by Philips for examination
or repair.Repair by unqualified people could
cause an extremely hazardous situation for
the user.

◗ N'obstruez jamais la grille d'entrée d'air.
◗ En cas de surchauffe,l'appareil se mettra

automatiquement à l'arrêt.Débranchez alors
l'appareil et attendez quelques minutes qu'il
refroidisse.Avant de remettre l'appareil en
marche,vérifiez que la grille d'entrée d'air ne
soit pas obstruée par des peluches ou des
cheveux,etc.
