Highlights

DVP5500S/02

PAL & NTSC Progressive Scan

Progressive Scan doubles the vertical res

olution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead of sending fields with the odd lines to the screen first, followed by the fields with the even lines, both fields are written at one time. A flicker-free high resolution image is created giving you the best viewing experience.

108MHz/12 bit video processing

Video Upsampling is a technology that dec

reases distortion to dramatically improve picture quality. It is a technology that allows the normal 13.5MHz video signal to be up sampled to 8 times the frequency.

Multi-channel Super Audio CD

Multi-channel SACD is a new generation music format

that offers ultra high quality music

reproduction. With a 5.1 multi-channel

surround sound and full CD compatibility both forward and backward, what results is unsurpassed audio performance for your listening pleasure.

192kHz/24 bit audio DAC

192KHz sampling enables you to have an accurate re curves. Together with a 24-bit resolution, more information is captured from the original analogue sound wave form, giving a much richer audio reproduction.

Built-in DD and DTS decoders

A Built-in Dolby Digital decoder eliminates the ne

ed for an external decoder by processing all six channels of audio information to provide a surround sound experience and an astoundingly natural sense of ambience and dynamic realism.
