Connection to a Cable / Satellite Box
1 Disconnect the power cords of the devices from the AC outlet.
2 Make the connection as illustrated below.
3 Plug in the power cords of the devices to the AC outlet.
For additional connection diagrams, see the accompanying User Manual.

To connect to your television, follow the instructions under ‘Connection to your
TV’.

Connection to your TV
1 Disconnect the power cords of the devices
from the AC outlet.
2 Connect the yellow video cable to the yellow
VIDEO IN jack of the TV and to the yellow
AV OUT video jack at rear the unit.
3 Connect the red and white audio cable to
the respective red and white audio jack of
the TV and to the respective red and white
AV OUT audio jack at rear the unit.
4 Plug in the power cable from the DVD/VCR
to an AC power outlet.

Initial Settings - DVD
LANGUAGE
1 Press DVD on the Remote Control.
2 Press SETUP/MENU and the MAIN menu will
appear.
Highlight and press right B.
• selects Menu language.
• selects default Disc Audio language
• selects default Disc Subtitle language.
• selects default Disc Menu language.
Initial Settings - VCR
CLOCK
1 Press VCR on the Remote Control.
2 Press SETUP/MENU and the MAIN menu will
appear.
3 Use v/V to choose the CLOCK option and
press OK.
Use v/V/b/B to enter the necessary
information.
• MONTH : Choose the month.
• DAY : Choose the date.
The day of the week will display automatically.
• YEAR : Choose the year.
•TIME : Choose the time.
Press and hold b/B to advance clock
continuously.
Note The clock uses the 12-hour system.
Be sure to set AM and PM correctly.

Playing a Disc
1 With the TV and DVD/VCR on, press the
DVD button to put the DVD/VCR in DVD
mode.
2 Press / OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.
Put a Disc in the tray with the label facing up
and the shiny side facing down.
Press / OPEN/CLOSE again to close the
tray.
3 Playback may start automatically. If not, press
NN
PLAY.
If a DVD Disc menu appears, use the
v/V/b/B, OK, or Number buttons to select
features or start playback. Follow the
instructions in the menu.
4 To stop playing the Disc, press
xx
STOP.
Playable Disc
The DVD Player of the DVD/VCR will play the
following Discs.
DVDs must have a Region Code of ALL regions
or Region 1.
